Over all time The Meadow has 160 reviews.
My mother has settled in happily due to the fine care and attention of staff and management. There is excellent attention to detail throughout and outstanding understanding of the dignity and respect due to each resident. There is support for multi-cultural needs and I can now relax knowing my mother is receiving loving care.
Thank you for such a wonderful review; it’s a great pleasure for us to look after your Mum. Mum has settled very well at The Meadow and we are very happy to have such a supportive family who is involved in Mum's care so intimately and is willing to work with us to provide Mum a quality lifestyle. I will pass your comments to my team and I wish you a very happy and prosperous new year.
My mother suffers from dementia and me and my siblings decided to move her to The Meadow, having been unsatisfied with the service provided by another care home in the area. The Meadow provides a safe and pleasant environment in which specialised care can be administered. The rooms are well-equipped and relatively spacious. The staff appear skilled and caring and are led by an efficient and impressive senior leadership team. Efforts are made to adapt the care provided to cater for my mother's particular needs and requirements. The food is better than I have encountered in hospitals and other care homes. Visitors are made to feel welcome and are encouraged to play their part in the care programme. A range of events and activities are provided to encourage mental activity and social integration. I highly recommend The Meadow - when I leave my mother following a visit, I do so knowing that she is in safe and sympathetic hands, which is very important for my peace of mind.
I shall pass on your kind words to the whole of my team. Everyone here really appreciates the effort, time and support you and your siblings continue to give your Mum, too, and we are very glad that she has settled in so well. Please continue to give us your feedback, and we wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2019.
As a visitor, I feel welcome. The staff are patient and kind and the residents are treated with dignity. There is a lovely and well-kept garden which the residents enjoy and altogether there is a very nice atmosphere.
Thank you for taking your time in doing this review, your feedback is much appreciated. We value the time and support that you give and it is amazing to see how much of a difference it makes with all the activities that you give support to. I will share your comments with my team.
The care given in The Meadow is excellent. All the staff are kind, caring and helpful and also very skilled in their work with residents who are experiencing and living with dementia. My mother has become part of a community. The ease in which she has been able to adjust has been helped by being able to take part in really interesting activities every day. The home is very light and well aired. The garden is gorgeous, full of beautiful flowers and veg, well maintained. My mother loves flowers and watching birds and squirrels. Most of all she feels comfortable with all the care staff who look after her extremely well.
Many thanks for taking the time to do this lovely review. It was good to see how well Mum settled to living at The Meadow and it’s a great privilege to look after her.
This residential care home is a warm, friendly and welcoming home. We love to see our neighbour here being looked after and pampered. The activities keep the residents active and the staff are amazing. We love to visit her and know she is being cared for.
Many thanks for taking time to write this review. Your kind words are really encouraging and I will share this with my team. As always, we are very grateful for the immense support that we always receive from you and your friend really appreciates your visits.
Staff are very good and there are interesting things happening ie., today a dog was in the home and the residents were pleased to see the animal.

When I came to The Meadow the first thing I noticed was how fresh it smells as you enter. I met the manager who escorted me to my friend while giving me feedback of what is happening at the home. My friend has settled in really well and is extremely happy with the food.

First and foremost I will recommend this home to anyone seeking the kind of service offered here because everyone works towards the aims and objectives as clearly stated. The overall care, support and standard is of a high quality compared to similar provisions. Residents are treated with dignity, respect and love. Other matters i.e. Facilities, activities, safety to name a few are of good quality, working to a higher standard. As for the staff and management are nothing to be compared.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. Please be assured that the whole team will be delighted with such wonderful feedback and that it means a lot to all of us. We will continue to care for your friend in accordance with our care values, in the spirit of true friendship and...
The staff seem very kind and all the residents well cared for.
Many thanks for taking time to write this review. I am very pleased to hear that you feel all my staff are kind and I will relay your message to them. I hope we continue to meet your expectations.
We had an excellent first impression when we visited the home. Staff were very, very friendly and welcoming. The information we received was so high above expectations. The grounds around the home are kept clean and tidy, the garden is spacious and a lovely space for residents to enjoy the outdoors. The home is well staffed and all the staff are willing to assist with any requests. I would highly recommend this residential home.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Your feedback is valued and appreciated by us all. I will relay your positive feedback to the team. We are very happy that your relative has settled well and is happy at our Home. Please do let us know if anything you feel we should improve on as we are always open to change and it is your home and therefore your opinion that matters most.
My mother has now reached a stage where she needs assistance with most things. The carers are always positive and kind as they help her. Some things take time and require great patience but no one is ever rushed. She is always treated with dignity and respect. Equally, as her daughter, I am grateful for this and for the good communication between staff and family. This is a friendly home and the recent refurbishment has added to its value as a comfortable place to live.
Many thanks for doing this review. It means a lot to us as a team. We hope the significant refurbishment works taking place will improve the homely feel we aim to give all our residents. We feel blessed to have such supportive relatives.
Initially, my sister was confused and fearful when moving into The Meadow Care Home. She has a complex set of personal needs. The staff immediately reassured and acknowledged her worries and patiently aided her communication and orientation. Health problems have been carefully monitored and appropriately addressed. Her individual care plan is regularly reviewed in detail and altered when necessary.
Although an atmosphere of calm is generally encouraged at the home, I have noticed that activities and new visitors are cheerfully welcomed by staff and residents alike and accommodated easily. My sister is gradually able to enjoy chats with other residents and the companionship of the home. She also appreciates easy access to the lovely garden and the restful environment that this offers. She acknowledges the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the home. As a relative, I too have felt reassured and supported by The Meadow and its staff.
Many thanks for taking time to do this review. Your feedback means a lot to my team and we hope that your Sister enjoys her stay at The Meadow. We will endeavour to meet all her needs and we do hope she finds great companionship at The Meadow.
I cannot fault the care she received as even when her dementia became chronic and she was unable to speak or undertake anything - they treated her with respect.
The home is clean and smells pleasant; there are beautiful gardens where residents can walk and sit.
The food is home cooked and tasty.
Plenty of entertainment and extra care - hairdressers/chiropodist.
Many thanks for your valuable review; it has always been a pleasure looking after your Aunt and, as you know, all the staff at The Meadow are very fond of her. We dearly miss her and your family has always been a huge part of MHA and we hope that you continue to visit The Meadow.
My mother has been a resident of this care home since July 2018, and I think the care she receives is excellent. If there is a problem, the staff always seem to be immediately on hand to deal with it, and they are always friendly and welcoming when I visit. The environment itself is pleasant, with a lovely garden where my mother likes to walk around, and a nice lounge for residents to sit in. I would definitely recommend this care home.
Many thanks for taking the time to complete this review. Your feedback is very valuable to our team and I am sure your review will help others when looking for a care home, it will also be fed back to the team which I am sure they will gratefully receive.
My family and I are happy and relieved that we have been able to move mum into The Meadow. She is 92 now and the carers here are both respectful and attentive. It is a huge relief to my sister and I to know that she is safe.
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this review, your words mean a lot to us and I will share this with my team.
The Meadow is an exemplar of good practice. My mother was made to feel welcome and valued from day one. There is a great sense of community, informality, kindness and a nurturing of independence all underpinned with good systems and quality control. Staff are carefully chosen and even more carefully trained. We, as a family, are so glad my mother was able to move here.
I am so pleased to hear your feedback covering all aspects of our service. Your comments are much appreciated and will be fed back to the staff team. Thank you again.
My dad has been living in The Meadow for two months and always mentions to me how much he likes it and how nice the food is. Each time I visit I am greeted by members of staff who are all unfailingly kind, gentle and patient, not only with my dad but with the other residents I see sitting in the communal lounge.
I think my dad has been very lucky to be offered a place at The Meadow and it's clear to me that he finds it a friendly and reassuring, safe place to live.
Thank you for your kind words and I am very glad to know that your Dad has taken so well to living at his new home. Your kind words will be passed on to our whole team, who are all committed to providing our residents with care based on an ethos of excellency, which nurtures body, mind and spirit.
I have made many visits to The Meadow over the last two years to visit a friend. I am extremely impressed at the high quality of care provided by the staff. They are always quite polite, kind and very patient with the residents and welcoming to visitors. The food is good and there are endless offers of tea/coffee at all times. The management team is professional and always friendly and ready to listen. Their communication skills are excellent; very impressive.
I am so pleased that we were able to find such as a good and civilised home for my friend. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words and taking time to do the review. I will relay your comments to all of my colleagues.
Clean and tidy premises. Many safety features. Medical care conscientiously administered. Open and transparent, from kitchen staff to care assistants to senior staff. Staff always clean and calm, gentle yet always in quiet control.
Thank you for your comments. I am glad that you feel our staff are friendly and that the premises are clean and tidy. I will share your comments with the care team.
