Villa Scalabrini

I am very happy with the care my mum receives. She is very well looked after and cared for by the very friendly staff. I honestly have nothing but praise for the way she is looked after in a very caring and compassionate way.

Both my parents stayed at Villa Scalabrini Care Home for a two-week respite break which they enjoyed. We and they found the staff to be exceptionally kind and caring and would always do their utmost to make my parents feel safe and happy. Now with Covid restrictions lifted, they could enjoy the garden, communal activities and they loved the food. All in all, a very good experience.

My mother has lived at Villa Scalabrini for nearly two years and has various health issues. She recently had a visit from a healthcare nurse who reviewed her complicated meds. One of the staff stayed with us for the appointment, and it was so nice to see the wonderful rapport that she has with my mother. She, like all the other staff at Villa Scalabrini, are always kind, good-natured, patient and genuinely has my mother's best interests at the foremost of everything they do. My mother is happy and well looked after, and I could not wish for more!

There is a real warmth in the way they talk to my father and the way he is treated. When I visit, it feels like there's a family atmosphere about the place and between the staff. My father is always well-turned out and the place is always clean and smells fresh. The residents are encouraged to take part in activities and exercise programmes and I am regularly updated with his progress, often receiving photographs of my father taking part which is reassuring as I know he is well cared for and enjoying himself. Villa Scalabrini is the next best place to my father's home and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who found themselves in a similar situation.

My mother has been at Villa Scalabrini since December 2021. The care and attention she receives are exceptional. The staff are very professional, attentive, hard-working and caring. Villa Scalabrini is always spotlessly clean and I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff involved in the well-being of her care. My mother is very happy to be there. As a family, it's very reassuring to know that Mum is safe, secure and is well cared for and I'm happy to highly recommend Villa Scalabrini.

My cousin has been a long-standing resident at Villa Scalabrini since September 2012. The care and love she has received during this period have been outstanding and consistent. The staff are all friendly, kind and understanding and always go over and above to keep the residents happy. She is always well-dressed and looks well cared for. The cleanliness of the Villa is again outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending Villa Scalabrini.

Every time I come to visit my father, the staff are very helpful. They always keep me informed about the doctor's visits and other professionals as well as about his condition. Every time I visit my father, he always looks clean and dressed well.

My grandmother has been a resident for almost two years, and my grandfather for almost the same amount of time until he recently passed. Both my grandparents have/had Alzheimer's and the care they've received at Villa Scalabrini Care Home has been exceptional. The staff are attentive and they truly focus on the care of the person as a whole, everything from physical therapy to broader enrichment activities. Some of the decor could be modernised but that is a very very minor point. Everything is kept spotless and I have no hesitation recommending it.

My father has been a Resident at Villa Scalabrini since August 2021. During this time he settled very well in Villa Scalabrini. His care is not only very professional, but everyone from housekeeping to the manager are so patient, kind and cheerful. They are also extremely helpful, kind and respectful. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I found the whole experience uplifting as when I left my father today, after seeing him. I saw him happy. I saw the security dog and security man. I would recommend the care home to family and friends. Excellent.

We have been so lucky to have found Villa Scalabrini for our beloved mum who was there for the last two years of her life. We would not have wanted her to be anywhere else before we so sadly lost her. She was loved and cared for there as if she was amongst family. All her carers and all the staff put so much effort not only to ensure she was cared for physically but equally as important, emotionally and they always made her feel as if she mattered, assigning carers to engage with her and talk about her life, reinforcing happy memories of her life. She was treated with respect and kindness and they were also fun and happy and the atmosphere was always welcoming when we visited. I know my mum bless her could be demanding at times, but their patience and kindness never wavered. I always felt that the way they treated their residents including my mum was to make sure that no matter what life they have had, they wanted to make this time the best they could for them.

The staff are extremely kind and treat my Mother with care, compassion, dignity and respect and the Residents are all looked after by kind and caring staff. The level of care and support is second to none and I feel happy that my Mother is in a safe and secure environment. The dedication to the welfare and safekeeping of the Residents is such that they were/are living-in to keep them safe and isolated from the recent COVID-19 Pandemic. I would highly recommend Villa Scalabrini to anyone who wishes elder members of their family or friends to be looked after with the highest standards available in residential care.

My father was cared for at the Villa Scalabrini from July 2016 until the time of his passing at the beginning of this month almost reaching his 100th Birthday. He was very happy there and had a great quality of life with them. He was loved by staff and residents alike, and I was always kept informed whether it was day-to-day activities, doctor appointments or any concerns. Villa Scalabrini is an exceptional Care Home with dedicated staff who treat all their residents with love, care and respect and as one of their own family.

Both my grandparents who are living with dementia moved into Villa Scalabrini recently, which was a very difficult and emotional time for them and us as a family. With the support from the staff, this was made easier, any concerns, queries or worries we had were answered and we have been given endless amounts of support and reassurance. I honestly can't believe the difference in my grandparents quality of life since moving into Villa Scalabrini, it is amazing to see them both so happy again, they look the best they have done in a long time. The visiting room that has been created for COVID-19 is fantastic, although it's not how anyone wants to spend time with a loved one, to be able to still go to visit and chat brings great comfort. All of the staff appear friendly, very caring and engage will with my grandparents as well as ensuring that all of their individual needs are met. My grandparents at times believe they are back in Italy, that says it all! Thank You VS!

Villa Scalabrini has and is looking after my Mum extremely well and I trust the staff and management implicitly. They have demonstrated their exceptional commitment to their residents through the recent Covid-19 lockdown and have been successful in managing zero cases of Covid-19 throughout the pandemic so far. This has been achieved by implementing safety measures regarding the movement of residents, staff and relatives. They did not wait to implement their safeguarding measures but exercised their initiatives early to protect all. They even controlled the entry of health professionals who posed risk. Staff agreed to live in the home for a period of 3 months which required them to forego their family freedoms in the interests of keeping the virus out of the home. The selflessness of management and staff and their initiative to do the right thing to minimise risk was fantastic and the home is to be congratulated for exemplary care. The residents are healthy and well cared for in all respects.

I am very pleased with this wonderful care home. My mother has been here 2 years and has settled very well and gained weight with the lovely food. She was very underweight when she was at the previous care home. They have handled this pandemic very well and taken precautions from the beginning, and as a result, have been Covid-free. The staff go above and beyond. They are like one big family.

My aunt was at the Villa Scalbrini for three years. She received wonderful care from an amazing, dedicated team of carers. At the home, her health improved as she was looked after with great care and attention. The food at the villa was always plentiful and very very good.

A care home full of love, professionalism and compassion. I genuinely cannot recommend Villa Scalabrini enough. They could not do enough for my father (and us) especially in his final days. The care he received was outstanding. Every single member of staff, from management to the cleaners genuinely care about their residents and were always present and involved. Residents are seen as 'one of the family' and are cared for in such a way that nothing is too much for them. My brother and I were always kept informed about every aspect of my father's care and the home were very proactive in ensuring that he received all of the care he needed from wider health care professionals and services. The home itself is always spotless and their beautiful grounds are well maintained. The food is top class and quality Italian products are used. God bless this home and its staff. Thank goodness care homes such as this still exist. There are not enough words to say Thank you!

My auntie was in Villa Scalabrini for just over a month and during the time she was there, all the staff were very caring and very supportive of all her needs. All my family were extremely happy with the facilities and set up of the home. Would definitely recommend to others.
