My mum was at Sholden Hall. In my opinion, was neglected, she had Alzheimer's and managed to get out of the home twice! The first time they never even knew she was missing even though a member of the public rang to ask them.
Poor facilities, poor decoration, poor food, uncaring staff, the list goes
on.

Action was taken by the manager and the previous provider to ensure that all the residents were safe. It was an unfortunate incident that happened and now we have new providers that are changing all the working environment and positive results evidenced by the feedback of families, external agencies, and stakeholders. Most of the decorations are completed, staff are approachable, kind and caring from the feedback received from families. Residents always have a choice of food and drinks and can have this whenever they want it.
This resident was cared for continuously according to her needs and the family contacted the home twice daily for updates.

We feel very fortunate to have found Sholden Hall. My grandmother has been at Sholden for nearly a year now. All of the staff are kind, caring and calm. Of course, they have been working under much more difficult circumstances over the last 2-years, but this does but show, though they must all be exhausted.
Visiting has always been easy to arrange, and every resident seems happy and content. Sholden feels like a family home rather than a care home and always looks and smells fresh and clean. My grandmother is very happy and content; initially, I know she was difficult to settle because of her dementia, but all the staff coped admirably and ensured as little disruption and distress to her as possible. Communication is excellent, whether via phone or email.

I have come into Sholden Hall for respite. In the past few years I have spent time in fair few homes and I can honestly say that Sholden Hall is the very best by a country mile, the staff can't do enough for you and they are so pleasant and kind working sometimes in difficult circumstances. I would
recommend Sholden Hall to anyone who has sometimes had to make the difficult decision to put their loved ones into care I can assure you they will be well looked after here. I immediately felt comfortable and at ease and at home

My wife was given better palliative care than when in hospital at Sholden Hall, staff constantly attending her needs to a very high level. The level of care, love and respect was amazing and as a family we have nothing but praise and gratitude, staff at this home go over and above the call of duty
at times even extending to visitors. My beloved wife was content here and passed away peacefully with dignity. Well done to all at Sholden Hall, you are a credit to the care industry and others could learn from you.

This is a happy cheerful and peaceful home. My father was happy and safe here and the family always felt uplifted coming here to see him. I cannot express enough how great all the staff were with him and us. Daddy living here was exactly what we wanted given he could no longer live in his own home.
He said that the food was tasty and he made friends. I also want to say that without the help from the staff here we would not have been able to support Daddy. There is always a positive vibe and peaceful energy here due to the staff's commitment to dignity, respect and harmony.

Huge interior makeover. Entrance hall now looking light and airy and welcoming. Floors re carpeted or laminate wood effect covering. The whole atmosphere has changed and the home "feels" so much happier and staff at ease. Change of management 6/12, effect amazing.
