The permanent staff do an exceptional job of providing kind, compassionate, thoughtful care. Their approach to our mother with bad dementia managed to bring out the best in her, and we saw some of her old spark. This was due to the personalised, individual care and activities they undertook with her;
unfortunately, the accommodation they have to work in is very poor. The rooms are cramped, poorly maintained, and there is limited public space; it is generally cramped. It is cleaned diligently, but cleanliness is difficult with such an old building. There is little privacy for residents and their visitors. The permanent staff are, without exception, excellent, but some of the 'bank' nurses we met at the weekend were less so. They did not seem to understand the concept of end of life care - they sure did not wear gloves to!

Overall, I am very pleased with my husband's care at Willett Lodge. The staff are all lovely and really look after him. I've been very impressed with the variety of activities the residents can get involved in and how engaging they are made.
I would recommend the home.

The nurses and staff have been very helpful, kind and friendly. They keep me up to date with his health and resolve any problems. His room is quiet, clean and warm and he is kept comfortable. Plenty of nutritious food and drink is provided and they even made him a special birthday cake, which he enjoyed.
The management team have been very helpful, assisting me with things I am not familiar with and keeping me informed about my husband and passing on messages when I have been unable to visit due to ill health. My experience of Willet Lodge Nursing Home has been a pleasant one.

My wife has been here for 11 weeks having palliative care for "end of life".
The home is very good, and although she is in a room, ensuite on the first floor, and there is a lift, she never leaves her room. This is due to her extreme frailty.

My dad has been a resident for about 18 months. He had been to a few other care homes before Willett Lodge and we had no feeling his needs were being met. But since coming to Willett Lodge he has been so much happier. The carers do many activities with the residents. Singers and dancing and a therapy
dog come in regularly which the residents love. They also do lots of family get-togethers to celebrate Christmas, the summer time and any other things that come up which need to be celebrated like the King's Coronation. The care home put on great entertainment for the events. My dad is well looked after and I highly recommend this care home.

The final ten months of my husband's life were, without question, vastly improved because of the dedicated and exceptional care from the wonderful team at Willett Lodge. Despite having dementia my husband quickly settled into the homely, warm and happy environment which helped him feel incredibly safe,
content and brought back his old sparkle. He was treated as a family member, not a patient, and thoroughly enjoyed the varied activities and companionship of both fellow residents and staff alike. Delicious home-cooked meals around the dining table made food enjoyable and, despite having a special diet, he was always very well catered for.
The friendly, relaxed atmosphere made visits a pleasure and helped create so many happy memories to cherish, for which I and my family are truly grateful. The professionalism and genuine commitment really instil confidence, which is a godsend at such a difficult time. I can't thank the manager and all her superb staff enough.

My wife has been a resident since March and has been treated very well, as she is bedridden they come and change her on a regular basis and when feeding her they take their time, the same when giving her a drink. The staff are very friendly and do all they can for her. I could highly recommend them
to care for anyone.

My Mum has been at Willet Lodge for a couple of months now and I am so happy she is here. The manager and all the staff are so friendly, explain everything they are doing and keep me up to date. They look after all my Mum's needs to a very high standard and are always so helpful and professional and

My husband went into Willett Lodge for a 2 weeks respite at short notice. The staff and management did their utmost to accommodate his needs and to make him feel comfortable and at ease. He was always clean and well-presented and treated with respect and dignity. His room was clean and adequate with
storage facilities for a short-term stay. I feel reassured that he was being well looked after and was in safe hands. Thank you to everyone.

My experience when visiting Willett Lodge Nursing Home has consistently been very positive. I have always felt that a home hinges on the quality of the management, which then undeniably filters down into every area. In this regard, Willett Lodge is exemplary, with an exceptionally knowledgeable and
dedicated manager who leads a wonderful team.
It is clear to see that my brother-in-law is thriving in the friendly, homely atmosphere. He is well looked after and treated with care, consideration and respect - never talked down to or ignored.
It is such a relief to witness such a positive change in him and to know that he is finally safe, secure and genuinely happy.

My mum spent two weeks here for respite. The room she was staying in had recently been redecorated and was very bright and fresh. The staff were so welcoming to both my mum and me. Thank you so much to the whole team.

Mum has been at Willett Lodge Nursing Home for the past 7 years. The staff work very hard to keep the residents healthy and looked after. Mum with her Dementia requires 24/365 days a year care. I have noticed a rapid decline in her health over the last 3 years, but that's due to the Dementia. The Staff
are very polite and respectful to me every time I have visited.

The staff at Willett Lodge have been nothing but supportive of my young father who had dementia and various other health issues.
It’s the first place my dad has felt settled in a long time. They are always keeping all residents active and socialising which I think is fantastic. I and my family are

This home has been an amazing place for my dad with dementia and being only 66. The staff are all nice and keep us updated on all the needs of my dad. They have plenty of activities for the residents to enjoy as well as a nice lounge and garden. My dads been happy with the food overall it’s a lovely

Willett Lodge and its excellent team provided respite care for my Mum during a particularly difficult period when she was suffering extreme anxiety and confusion. The Manager’s calm, knowledgeable approach meant she was welcomed into the home and almost immediately began to reap the benefits. At the
end of the placement, they cooperated fully with the receiving home and helped make the transition as easy as possible. I will always be in their debt for their help during this extremely difficult time for our family.
