My Nan Cynthia has been a resident in Greenacres since July. We were extremely worried about how nan would settle as she was not happy at home. We didnt need to worry at all! Every single member of staff at Greenacres have been brilliant with helping Nan to transition into her new life at Greenacres. Nan went from being near on bed bound and only eating a small amount of food to now being up and about sitting in her wheelchair or armchair and eating proper home cooked meals. Nan is thriving here. She has put on weight and is so much healthier than she was. Every member of staff engages with Nan and she responds to all of them with a smile on her face. She has a lovely bond with them, like extended family. All staff at Greenacres have also been lovely to us as a family. Especially to Nans son martin who is a vulnerable adult and has learning difficulties. They are currently helping him to move into assisted living next door. I cannot fault anyone at all. I would like to live here!!

Since my mum has arrived at Greenacres she has been well cared for every member of staff have been Amazing. I can't fault anything.also the food is Delicious as I have also enjoyed a lovely roast Dinner. My mum is looking so much better Thank you Greenacres for looking after my mum so well

I moved into Greenacres on 6.2.26 for a months respite care because of a broken shoulder. The home has a very friendly atmosphere and the staff were welcoming, kind and professional and I cannot praise them highly enough, and settled into the routine quickly. I would highly recommend the home to others in their time of need and if I needed care in the future would be more than happy to move in. The garden is stunning and I only wish I had been there in the summer to enjoy and aid recovery. Thanks to everyone for their help and support.

My mothers stay and care was extremely good. The staff (all) treated my mum in such a gentle and sympathetic manner. All of our family were made welcome, kept well informed. In my mum's final days we were checked on regularly, offered tea and biscuits. I would gladly recommend this care home.

My grandmother is a resident of Seymour court and has been since September 2024, we can not thank the staff enough for their patience, help, support and understanding of my gran. Her health has declined since her arrival, they always lead with kindness and such tender care, the staff have the kindest heart and always show us and my gran so much grace. We as a family can't thank them enough for all they do everyday, they truly are an amazing team.

After visiting many care homes in Plymouth, Thorn Park was our 14th and instantly the look and atmosphere said 'yes this is the one for mum'. After nine years at the care home mum passed peacefully at the grand age of 96. It felt like a family for mum and myself as I visited her.

Mum booked into respite care as emergency in February as this was the only option. The Home have taken excellent care of her over the last 2 months, so that she is strong enough to get home again. They have made sure her medicines were up to date and that all visitors were welcomed. On her leaving some staff of the home came to wish her the best. At all times, the Home have kept me up to date on her progress and health. I can not fault the care provided by the staff.

Overcrowded- sharing a room with a curtain to divide residents. No ventilation. One shared sink. Bed not suitable, cannot stretch his legs (being checked for foot sores). Boxes of supplies stored in the room. No room for the residents wheelchair in the room with visitors. Staff coming to give my brother in law medication while he's eating his lunch? Staff not patient with residents. On staff member seen on his mobile while feeding a resident. Lack of care, compassion and tolerance.

Delighted with the care my father is getting, the staff are so gentle and caring and my father has settled in quickly and is singing their praises. Thank you to Sarah the manager and Callum care team in particular who have been exceptionally responsive and caring.

My mother was admitted as a NHS emergency and given lovely bright room with a good view. The staff took their time on admission explaining procedures and together with palliative care staff undertook an assessment regarding funding. Mum settled in well and despite her life ending prognosis made friends with other residents during her 18 day stay. Her condition deteriorated and all staff were very caring in helping her adjust to the pain she experienced, with several dr visits. Sadly mum passed away on 5/3/26. We were informed very soon after we visited. Throughout her stay she was treated with kindness and dignity.

We can visit whenever we like and families are invited to events throughout the year.

We can only praise the staff for the care, compassion and wonderful service for my husband, me and my family. I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for us.

We cannot thank Seymour Court Nursing Home enough for the exceptional care given to our father. He first came for respite in 2023 and became a permanent resident from January 2025 until he passed away in January 2026. Dad loved the activities, friendly faces and superb food, and we were always warmly welcomed. Staff treated him with patience, humour and dignity, supporting his independence and adapting as Parkinson's and Lewy Body dementia progressed. The nurses kept us informed and reassured throughout. Every member of the team ensured Dad was always clean, comfortable and well cared for. We are especially grateful to Scarlett, Amy, Cherry, Cheryl, Pasand, Jean, Brenda, Kath, Mariah and Jessie on nights. Seymour Court gave our father comfort, dignity and genuine kindness, for which we will always be thankful.

All in all we could not have asked for anything more from Seymour court during David's 18 month stay.

I could not fault the care and kindness shown by all staff, not only for my sister, but to myself and brother when visiting. Friendly, but not intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble in all aspects of the sad situation that we found our family in. Thank you to each and everyone at Seymour Court.

The carers are amazing. They do these things so easy and dealing with the residents in a very tactful manner especially if they are difficult. Nothing is too much for them. Every time I visit I feel welcome there. My friend lives at Willett Lodge, she can be difficult but they manage to look after her well. Very good team and manager is always there to listen if there is a concern.
