Mum has Parkinson's dementia. Mum needed respite care when my dad had a stroke. (This care started in May 25 - October 25 2025) Mum has been very confused and emotional often being very frightened by her night terrors. Mum believes her night terrors are actually real and needs a lot of support and reassurance
that she is safe. Mum and dad have been married for 71 years and to be separated from each other also took its toll on both of them. Throughout all of this the staff have been kind, caring and supportive with mum, we couldn't have asked for more

Apart from having to wait at some times to be seen when I call, due to shortage of staff, the service I get is excellent.
Due to me being profoundly deaf, some of the staff have started to learn BSL (British Sign Language) for my benefit

Sadly my husband reached a stage of dementia when I had to admit defeat. I simply could not find a home that would take him, given the behaviour his dementia caused. In the end I had to contact Social Services, and this was the only place available. Now, I have to admit that if I had gone to inspect
it, I would not have chosen it. It's an old house converted, and consequently a bit of a maize. Rooms are functional and practical rather than large or elegant, and it doesn't look much. BUT staff and management are fabulous, and could not have been kinder, and had so much patience with him. I was supported too. This is so much more important than any other consideration, and it is for this reason that I have rated the home very highly. There was also a secure courtyard where we sat together in the sun whenever weather permitted. He was, we knew, at the end of his life, and when he passed the staff and management were so kind to me. Lovely calm atmosphere.

My father was placed in a ground floor room so he could be monitored frequently and medication could be administered when required. The staff were professional and dedicated and provided the care and wellbeing of my father throughout his short stay. A big thank you to all staff who were friendly and

From the first day my father went into Seymour Court he's had such an amazing care and attention. He settled in well. He enjoyed the food from the manager/nurses and carers, kitchen staff, domestic staff all work very hard and they are a good team. My father passed away in May 2025 he was given dignity,
loving care not just to my dad but to us as a family we could stay with with which was comforting for us all. The only thing id like to mention is I think the clothes should be ironed once washed I didn't like seeing my dad in creased clothes. I had to take his clothes home.

The care provided by all the staff at Greenacres is outstanding. They all work extremely hard and it is clear to see they are all dedicated to providing the best level of care for the residents. Since my Mum moved in at the beginning of March they have been extremely supportive not only in assisting
Mum with all her daily needs but supporting us as a family through some uncertain times. They have kept me fully informed on my Mums changing health conditions and provide a reassuring presence. The care centre is maintain to an exceptionally high standard by all the staff on a daily basis providing a real home from home feel for all that live there and visit.
Moving my Mum into Greenacres when her health declined is without doubt the best decision I could have made for her.

If there's a better care home than Greenacres I can't imagine where!
My brother became a resident in May 2023 after a lengthy struggle to remove him from a less than ideal care home for which I was supported and helped all the way by the manager of Greenacres.
Since being at Greenacres his complex
health needs have been met with great care, attention and support from an incredible team lead by management, carers and including all the other staff who all work so hard to keep this home up to such a high standard.
The fact that it was purpose built is naturally an added bonus with the whole building being light, clean, comfortable and spacious with the beautiful well maintained garden being the jewel in the crown.
The food is of a high standard and cooked on sight by a dedicated team in an open plan kitchen and recently awarded a 5 food hygiene rating by the Environmental Health Inspector.
There is also a great entertainment program led by an enthusiastic team with much laughter.

My Sister came to Greenacres for convalescence following a hip replacement. Initially for two weeks but she asked to stay a bit longer. She was very happy there. Greenacres has a lovely light, bright atmosphere and is very professionally managed and the care staff are excellent at providing person
centred care which is to be applauded. My Sisters well furnished room was ensuite (they all are) and the views great. Access is by lift; stair lift and stairs with staff at hand to help if needed.
The decor is very tasteful both internally and externally and spotlessly clean. There is quite an attention made to enrich the day to day activities for residents that my Sister really enjoyed. The food is great; there are fun games for those who wish to partake; light gardening under supervision for those with green fingers wanting to assist with planting on the Terrace.
If residents want quiet areas these are provided inside, and outside in the beautiful gardens. There is a TV Room.

My aunt has settled very well here and tells me the staff are 'lovely' and 'kind'.
Whenever I visit she seems happy.
I observe the staff treating the residents with kindness, care + dignity.
The food is served up nicely and the dining experience is calm and relaxing when I have visited.

My Mum was taken from hospital to Seymour Court for palliative care.
I cannot praise the entire team at the nursing home, she was treated with such dignity and compassion from all the team as we as a family were, nothing was too much trouble.
The nursing team were amazing as the care team and also
the food was lovely and everyone so warm and friendly. Well done Seymour Court.

Most staff were kind and caring, never enough, difficult to find, particularly mealtimes and weekends. The cover fell off the radiator twice, the window was difficult to close and taps dripped continually, often overflowing. Previous occupant's clothes were left in the wardrobe for 4 weeks until I removed
them. My husband was often found in dirty, wet clothes having spilt food and drink, he couldn't pick them up, and often missed snacks. Often wearing someone else's baggy t-shirts even though I had provided an adequate supply of new shirts, more than once I shaved him because he looked so dishevelled. He was often not adequately hydrated and had numerous catheter problems and urine infections, which often went unnoticed by staff and were not dealt with in a timely manner. The lack of compassion following his death added to our pain, we left his room and had to wait in a corridor, by the usual consistently buzzing call bells, while staff prepared his body, we were told we could re-enter and saw no staff after that, just another job done! No sympathy was expressed or even a goodbye. Limited information on how to obtain the Death Certificate.
I realise a negative comment will not be printed, but question the validity of only printing 'excellent ones, some dating from 2018. Reviews posted regarding Seymour Court bear little resemblance to my experience, or those of other visitors, of over 3½ months, I visited my husband every day. Taking everything into consideration, and reading the daily diary that I had kept, together with visitors' comments, I feel that overall, my husband's care was often not good. Sadly, unlike some comments left, I often didn't feel confident when leaving my husband and at times left the Home very upset. When visiting my husband in the Funeral Home, although heartbreaking, it was such a relief to see him looking like his old self, so clean, tidy and well cared for, for the first time in 3 months.

My mum has been staying at Greenacres for nearly a month. I am delighted with the kindness and care shown by the team members and their clear and prompt communication. It wasn't easy for us to move Mum as her family is scattered, I live abroad but the care team made it easy for us. Mum was given a great
choice of rooms and seems to have settled in well. There is a rich schedule of activities for the Christmas period that I am sure Mum will enjoy. I've also noticed that the carers have already figured out just the right things to say to Mum when she gets anxious about her stay. It was a big decision for Mum to move into a care home, but the family is very relieved now that it has happened. Mum values her autonomy but was struggling to live independently and Greenacres seems to provide the right balance of independence and support that she needs. It's still early days, but Mum has decided to become a permanent resident and from our point of view, so far so good!

I cannot rate the hoe and staff highly enough. It was a tough and emotional decision for all the family, however, it was the best move we could have made. Mum is cared for and has been welcomed with open arms as have all the family. Knowing she is safe, happy and cared for brings comfort to us all.

After visiting a very good friend, surveying myself for future reference as I'm now 80 years of age and living alone, looking to the future as I would be more than happy to be a resident. I've had a lovely conversation with a young man who I gather was going an "inspection" at the time, everything was
great - faultless. It was a pleasure to visit your building.
