My mother, aged 98 and 8 months, has been in Briar House for 4+years. The care home was recommended by our G.P.
My mother always tells me;
a) Don't worry about me, I am fine here
b) The staff are very kind to me
c) I am always warm and comfortable in here
d) The food is very good

I am very happy with the overall sense of care and service provided at Briar House. The staff are very pleasant and I have a good level of communication with them. The facilities are very good and cleaning standards are high.

I've noticed over the past few weeks, since new management has been in place, the quality of care has decreased. My grandmother's cleanliness is a constant issue and considering this is her only need she needs help with, it's extremely poor. Staffing is low and there doesn't seem to be enough staff to help everyone. There is nothing stimulating for her to do and she is constantly bored.
