Overall Experience

My great-aunt was admitted to Capwell Grange in January 2018 as an emergency admission as she was too poorly to take care of herself at home. Over the past 5 years, she has been cared for by the lovely staff, we cannot thank you enough. She had her ups and downs with her health and moods - only to be expected - but I can honestly say she was treated with care, dignity and respect. She passed away peacefully last week and spending part of the night shift with her in Capwell Grange made me know it was the right home for her. The staff are wonderful. Many thanks.

I've got no complaints. When I had my accident and had to go to the hospital, I was a bit concerned and worried about what might happen. When they said I could go home or go here I was very dubious, but coming here, I was well welcomed and enjoyed my stay. I really enjoyed the food and felt the service and quality were akin to a 4-star hotel. I feel the place could have been warmer and probably have better washing facilities inside the ensuite toilet and possibly minor adjustments to the basin in my room, but I was able to manage and these are minor details. I feel the staff were encouraging to let me find ways to be more independent and I was made to feel safe/comfortable.

The staff were kind, friendly and eager to please. Nothing was too much trouble. The physio staff were excellent in re-training my limbs and giving me the confidence to walk again.

Overall, it has been an experience I shall look fondly back on. Keep up the good work.

Staff are lovely.

Food is not so good - mostly cold when getting to a resident in their own room.

I am so pleased I chose to come here, I know I would not have received the help at home that I have got here. All the staff have been great and I would recommend anyone in the position I was in to come here.

My Mother in Law age 97, had a stroke and came here for rehabilitation.
Some staff and managers didn't always help or listen.
Others were amazing.
We feel that she shouldn't have been discharged so soon, especially after a fall in her room, hitting her head the Friday before being discharged!
She's now fallen down her stairs (we feel that this is a safeguarding issue) plus a risk assessment wasn't completed, this could have been avoided!

We just do not want it to happen to anyone else.

The care at Capwell Grange Care Home has been exceptional. The kindness, care and compassion shown to my mother has, at all times, been outstanding. This is our first experience of coming to a care home and to be honest we did not know what to expect. We have nothing but admiration for all that work at Capwell Grange.

Mum's discharge from hospital to Capwell Grange Care Home was handled by the care home well. The staff on the whole were great. The day team were supportive, compassionate and empathetic. Mum's stay was extended as she needed extra confidence building and personal care support. For medication and medical support, the staff were far more diligent and exacting than the hospital. I had total confidence in them. Thank you for your support.

I had huge reservations when I first realised my mum needed full-time care as I had heard so many horror stories. I have been extremely impressed with the home under its leadership.

The staff are extremely caring and have shown only compassion and dedication. My mum is really happy.

Mum was transferred to Bonetti House from hospital after falling at home & breaking her hip. When Mum arrived she couldn't even get out of bed. The six-week rehabilitation she received was second to none. The progress she made in her six-week stay is unbelievable and it's all down to the excellent care she received. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff and we will be forever grateful for the way our Mum was looked after with such kindness, care and patience. Mum was so happy in there and was sad to leave. Thank you once again for everything.

Since my mother was admitted to Capwell Grange Care Home I'm happy to say we/I have no regrets - she needed round-the-clock care and the same was instantly put into place. As much as she would have liked to live independently, she is physically unable to meet her daily activities of life for the foreseeable future. Her physical, sociable and psychological needs are being met by a team of staff/carers - she is respected and listened to, in order to meet her needs. Cultural and diversity do not go amiss. My visits during Covid were a comfort to us.
