Manor Lodge

My ex-partner's nan was a resident of Manor Lodge for some time and the service was outstanding, we never had any concerns or any reason to worry for her during her stay. Friendly and caring staff members who go above and beyond for the residents, it's so refreshing to see. Lots of activities were offered too which were well thought out and managed. Thank you to everyone who works at Manor Lodge, we cannot thank you enough.

My grandmother recently passed, following being a resident for many years. The care she received during her time there was amazing. They not only cared for her but also became good friends. During her last few days, they were so caring and compassionate to not only her but also our family in what was a very difficult time. We cannot thank them enough and they deserve the highest praise.

The cleanliness is excellent, all the carers are very attentive and caring. My dad feels very much at home. 5-star rating from me, all the residents at Dad’s ward are friendly too, they all have a chat with me. His room is very tidy also.

From our first meeting with the team, we were struck by their openness and understanding. We received a warm welcome on all of our visits, and we were delighted to see how happy and relaxed Mum seemed when we collected her at the end of her stay. I would recommend Manor Lodge without hesitation.

My mum loved Manor Lodge and remarked that she could not fault it! The staff were friendly, approachable and so kind. She enjoyed the variety of activities including making Easter hats. She made friends there and the staff were sorry to see her go after building such a lovely relationship with Mum - which is a testament to their commitment to those they care for even over a short period of time.

We will miss the friends that we made there and the delicious cakes that were always on offer!

All staff are friendly and helpful and they always acknowledge my Mother when we are walking about the home, using her name to say hello. We are listened to by the carers and the management team and problems are resolved. We are kept informed of any changes or incidences concerning my Mother and every effort is made to maintain her cleanliness. The activities are varied and the staff seem to join in with great enthusiasm encouraging participation whenever possible. Seeing photos on social media is great. It would be nice to see more home comforts or familiar objects in the day room and the communal ‘café’ areas so that it looks less like a care home and more like a home/hotel. However, I realize this could be tricky in some areas.

My mum spent from December until February 2024. Her time there was good. She was well cared for and felt loved, all the staff were so kind and lovely. In particular the staff on Roxwell ward, they went over and above to make her comfortable. Mum felt safe with them and they cared for her in a way that I would have expected. Mum was in their care until the day she passed away. Thank you Manor Lodge for making my mum's last few weeks the best that anyone could have done.

His being safe and cared for so well enabled us to enjoy our holiday so much more.

When we visit there is always a member of staff on hand if we have any queries, and they are all friendly, kind and attentive. We would definitely recommend Manor Lodge.

I have found Manor Lodge to be very efficient and helpful. My mum is being well cared for which is a great relief for me. Manor always keeps me informed of everything going on often before my mum even tells me.

We booked our uncle in for respite care after a fall and hip replacement. He has other complex needs that require monitored medication and diet. Staff have been kind, respectful and attentive and have sought additional medical support when required. Communication between Manor Lodge and our family has been faultless. Overall the service is excellent, it is a great relief to know that our uncle is in a safe, supportive and well-managed environment.

I feel completely worry-free that his best interests are being catered for.

My father has been in Manor Lodge since the 11th of December. We had to arrange his stay as I had a medical procedure booked that will involve a six to eight week recovery. From the initial phone call that I made to Manor Lodge, I have found the management and staff to be very professional people, but they have a very caring and courteous way of dealing with their clients and their families. I can honestly say that every member of staff have been wonderful to my father and to me, and whatever I have requested for him has been carried out quickly and courteously. The staff treat my father kindly and politely and nothing is too much trouble for them. Obviously I had concerns about my father going to a home, but I need not have worried, I am delighted with every aspect of my father's care. He has not yet started to get involved with the many and various daily activities, but every day the staff try to encourage him. I cannot speak highly enough of Manor Lodge, I know that my father is safe and cared for.

The home appears bright and clean and purposeful and recently built. Staff are plentiful, caring and helpful. Rooms are small but contain their own en-suite. There appear to be plenty of activities for residents. Relatives can come and go as they please. There are plenty of coffee and cake places. Staff are all cheerful and appear to learn the Christian names of new residents very quickly.

A truly welcoming care home. From the moment one enters, one is met by warmth. It is light and spacious. All the staff are caring and receptive to any requests, either from residents or relatives. I speak from the experience of two years visiting my father, and I know that he is loved and well cared for. As a visitor, I also feel that the care extends to us as well.

It's scary to place a loved one in care but if you choose Manor Lodge don't even consider they won't be cared for well, they will be.

I have found the staff at Manor Lodge to be sensitive to the needs of my father and our family. They are so caring and thoughtful and keep me informed of everything. The care home provides a calm environment with lots of activities for the residents.

Manor Lodge has truly been a blessing for our mum, especially after a challenging year. Our first interaction with Karla set the tone for the exceptional care and dedication we've experienced throughout our journey. Karla's extraordinary efforts to secure a room for our mother as a matter of urgency, understanding that independent living was no longer safe, left a lasting impression.

The entire staff has been exceptional in addressing our mother's needs, and their swift adjustment of her medication led to a remarkable transformation in just days. What distinguishes Manor Lodge is the unwavering commitment of their staff, who radiate happiness, friendliness, and approachability.

Knowing that our mum is in the hands of such a dedicated and compassionate team provides us with priceless peace of mind. Manor Lodge's positive impact on our family and, most importantly, on our Mum is immeasurable. Words cannot adequately express our profound gratitude.
