One member of staff made the Mother’s Day celebration really special. I just don’t know how she does it. The singer was great, cakes, sandwiches and a summer cocktail to top it off was amazing. Mum had a great time as did we. Some very happy memories for us. Thank you to the team and all involved.
Reply from Sia Lebbie, Reviews Team at Queens Court Care HomeThank you so much for your wonderful review. I just wanted to express my gratitude and to give praise to all the staff and carers at the Queens Court Care Home. Also to add how impressed I am with the level of care and respect my Mum receives at the facility. I live overseas in Australia but was fortunate enough to get back in December of last
year and spend a number of weeks with Mum at the home. I was absolutely humbled by the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff in making Mum as happy and comfortable as she possibly could be. Particular thanks go to the entertainment team who also facilitate all my video calls with her when I'm back in Australia. It gives me great comfort when being so far away in the knowledge that Mum is being looked after by such a dedicated and professional team. Thank you!
Reply from Sia Lebbie, Reviews Team at Queens Court Care HomeDear Mark, thank you so much for taking the time to share your heartfelt appreciation. We're truly touched by your kind words and are delighted to hear about your positive experience with our team at Queens. It's wonderful to know that our entertainment team has been instrumental in facilitating your video calls with your mum, bridging the distance and providing you with peace of mind while you're in Australia. Your mum's well-being is at the heart of everything we do and we're grateful for the opportunity to support both of you.

Overall the home was better than I was expecting. It looked bright and well cared for. The staff were very friendly and caring.
On the negative side, there was an almost constant noise of beepers going off and the home was too hot (everyone in t-shirts) and airless. It would be great to have some exercise
class opportunities for walks outside.
Reply from Diana Moraru'Manole, Regional Operations Manager Essex at Queens Court Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave a review, your feedback on Queens Court Care Home is highly appreciated. We are pleased to know that our nursing and caring team have been welcoming and caring. Our home has a dedicated lifestyle team, who organises weekly chair-based exercise classes and Motitech bike classes, which every resident is welcome to attend. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the nurse bell system; however, it is an imperative communication tool for our residents to seek support. Once again, thank you for your review, your feedback is important to us and has been passed on to the team.

My relative came here for what ended up being palliative care. There is neither the appropriately trained or the number of staff to provide this type of care. Worst of all nobody really seemed to be bothered. At one stage our relative was left for 12 hours without being changed and only then because
we asked. There was no communication between staff or with us. In the end, we stayed for the best part of 72 hours as we had no faith left. It made a very difficult situation so much worse. We just feel so terribly let down by this home.

My sister moved into Queens Court Care Home in April 2023. With support from the kind and caring staff, she has been able to settle in well and benefit from all the facilities on offer.
She enjoys taking part in the varied programme of activities, including chair-based exercises, quizzes and a range
of musical entertainment and themed events.
In the warmer weather, the lovely garden has been her favourite place to sit and spend time with visitors.
As a family member, I am always made very welcome and also kept up to date regarding my sister's health and well-being.
Thank you to all at Queens Court.

My brother has been at Queens Court for many years now, and the care and support they give him, and my sister and myself, is second to none! All the staff I’ve ever met are so caring and patient, especially the lovely lifestyle lead - she really is amazing! She’s taken my brother under her wing and
takes him out, chooses new clothes with him, sorts his room out with new bed linen, etc - a truly wonderful person. I can’t thank everybody enough there. I live quite a way away so very rarely visit my brother at Queens Court, but knowing he is so cared for makes me feel very confident that I did the right thing choosing Queens Court, and I don’t feel quite so guilty that I don’t see him a lot! Thanking all the lovely staff there - you’re all so special!

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.728)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.728) out of 10 for Queens Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 65 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 62 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.728 for Queens Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (630 Excellents x 5) + (88 Goods x 4) + (34 Satisfactorys x 3) + (11 Poors x 2) + (5 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 768 Ratings = 4.728
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Queens Court Care Home is based on 62 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 90 registered maximum number of service users is 18, which has been reached with 62 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My role is complex and involves a range of responsibilities that ensure our home runs smoothly and that the residents get the support they need. As the home’s manager, I genuinely care about our residents, the team and the wider care home community. I’m proud to be the manager of Queens Court, it’s a lovely place to work. The community culture of home shapes our values, beliefs and dedication of the staff who put the needs and preferences of residents at the centre of everything they do. At Queens Court, we provided an inclusive and welcoming environment for all, residents, their families and loved ones, staff and professionals.”

When Daniela isn’t at home, she enjoys nothing more than getting lost in a good book or taking a long swim to clear her mind, release stress, and rejuvenate her spirit.
