My brother has been at Queens Court for many years now, and the care and support they give him, and my sister and myself, is second to none! All the staff I’ve ever met are so caring and patient, especially the lovely lifestyle lead - she really is amazing! She’s taken my brother under her wing and
takes him out, chooses new clothes with him, sorts his room out with new bed linen, etc - a truly wonderful person. I can’t thank everybody enough there. I live quite a way away so very rarely visit my brother at Queens Court, but knowing he is so cared for makes me feel very confident that I did the right thing choosing Queens Court, and I don’t feel quite so guilty that I don’t see him a lot! Thanking all the lovely staff there - you’re all so special!

We love visiting Nan, it’s a very welcoming and family-friendly care home. The staff are lovely and very attentive. The fireworks night was amazing, the fire eater was fantastic. We have attended a lot of the family days and they always make us feel very welcome.

My mother was admitted here last Friday. She came from the hospital (2 months stay). She was in an extremely poor condition. In only 5 days of being here, her health has greatly improved, she is eating more and her mental health has improved. All staff here have been wonderful. Her room is lovely. Thanks
to all in your care home. Special mention to one particular member of staff (nurse).

I attended the Silver Sunday event that was organised by the home on Sunday the 1st of October. This was organised by a particular member of staff and it was excellent.
We started off with a Sunday roast that was absolutely delicious and then followed by a gateau and ice cream. Plenty to eat and drink
with more for those that wanted it.
The entertainment was first class and the large audience was very appreciative of the dancing and singing girls group. What was nice was that the group of girls encouraged the elderly residents, where possible, to get up and dance or sing. It was lovely to see these residents totally immersed in this equals great therapy. We then had sandwiches and the most unbelievably delicious strawberry tarts.
Well done to the particular member of staff and her colleagues for a fantastic afternoon and our mum absolutely loved it.
A great standard so I won’t hesitate to attend further events and thoroughly recommend Queens Court.

Great care home. Seems to be improving all the time. Mum has been at Queens Court for just over a year and to date I cannot fault them. It was Mum's Birthday and I could not be with her this year due to a health issue myself. But the home looked after Mum very well on the day and even sent me a picture
of Mum with a glowing smile, surrounded by gifts and cards.
As it takes me over an hour to get to the home I cannot attend as often as I would like, but whenever I phone there is an immediate response to the phone. The receptionist is brilliant. I can email a letter and the receptionist will print it off and get delivered almost immediately.
The maintenance guy is brilliant and nothing is too much trouble whether it is me or Mum who asks.
All the residents are kept busy by the activity team with constant stimulation and regular entertainment. The themed tea party was amazing.
There is also a great hair salon and a mobile beautician.

Always a friendly face and my relative likes all the carers. They take the time to get to know all the residents and tailor their needs at the home to their liking or disliking. Easy to speak to carers about any issues they always keep in contact if any issues arise.

I want to congratulate the entire staff for their outstanding care and support to all the residents of Queens Court Care Home. Especially activities, animal therapy, the receptionist is the first point of contact, repairs/decorating, nursing staff, staff nurses and laundry staff. Everyone has pulled

The daytime carers I have experienced when visiting have been lovely. But I have witnessed the nighttime carers being rough with my friend, when getting her on and off the commode and also when helping her into bed. Banging her head against the headboard and hurting her legs when lifting them. Leaving
her in tears and she's then anxious about calling them during the night. The 1-star rating relates to night carers only.

My friend has been a resident since February and has been treated abysmally by most staff right from the start. She has to wait sometimes up to 2 hours when she calls for the commode and is often told she should wait because it's meal time or meds time, who can decide what time they will need the toilet?
Several of the staff are so rough with her that she's afraid to let them put her to bed. Many staff have no idea how to use the necessary hoist and she, or her visitors, have to tell them how. She is afraid to have her grievances escalated for fear of repercussions, this fear has been confirmed by a few of the good members of staff. There are often days when she actually gets forgotten at meal times, she doesn't need help so it's not as though they have to spend time with her, just give her her meal.

I've written two reviews on other platforms, but was asked to remove one as they weren't happy I wasn't happy! That's not what reviews are about! So I wrote another, saying I would give a good review when it was up to standard. Especially what the price is these days. I cannot see the second review!
I will report to Local Guiding, Trip Advisor and Google.
Every time I enter the doors, I feel suffocated by lack of air and depart with a headache! This isn't my imagination. Apart from the animosity from some staff and not one visit have I had without a confrontation. People are afraid to speak up as they fear their relative etc. will have poor treatment.
I really try to avoid the few staff who are insecure and unhappy in their work/life. Some are dedicated and kind. I'll continue this review when I've had time there with no problems. 3/5 now, shouldn't be this difficult.

Absolutely fantastic fete at queens court today 15/7/23. I am a volunteer and every time I am amazed at the effort the activities coordinator and team put into organising and hosting of such wonderful events. The smiles and joy I witnessed are priceless. The activities lady has an incredible connection
with residents, family, friends and associates. Her energy and enthusiasm make a massive difference to all who encounter her! You are simply incredible!

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, it was cold with the heating broken but nobody to fix it, the food was only occasionally good, activities for residents were minimal, and junior staff hardly interacted with residents apart from undertaking personal needs. Staff hygiene at meal times was poor
with staff serving food with long hair flowing. Staff didn’t take into account residents' needs with no thought given to their personal dignity or safety. Only one member of the staff in the residential area fulfilled her job with excellent care. Written complaints went to Management on two separate occasions, when talking to the manager she came across as defeated not giving a confident reply. The facilities are poor, the snack trolley that is seen in photos is locked away outside working hours. The residential area has a tired appearance and doesn’t live up to the photos that are shown.

The majority of staff are very friendly and always on hand should I need their assistance with my husband. The activities are managed superbly by competent individuals who keep all residents happy and included in these sessions which are very popular. The rooms are always kept clean and the laundry
service is exceptional.

Daniela

Daniela Caprioara

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2023

Daniela joined the Queens Court family in 2023 as the home's Deputy Manager and has recently taken the role of the home’s General Manager.


As a Registered Nurse, Daniela has over ten years of experience within the Health and Social Care sector in Clinical and Managerial roles within the NHS and also the private sector.


“As the General Manager here at Queens Court Care Home, I'm committed to providing our residents with the best care possible in a compassionate and understanding way. I strive to create a happy, fun, friendly and familiar atmosphere and environment for the well-being of all.


My role is complex and involves a range of responsibilities that ensure our home runs smoothly and that the residents get the support they need. As the home’s manager, I genuinely care about our residents, the team and the wider care home community. I’m proud to be the manager of Queens Court, it’s a lovely place to work. The community culture of home shapes our values, beliefs and dedication of the staff who put the needs and preferences of residents at the centre of everything they do. At Queens Court, we provided an inclusive and welcoming environment for all, residents, their families and loved ones, staff and professionals.”


When Daniela isn’t at home, she enjoys nothing more than getting lost in a good book or taking a long swim to clear her mind, release stress, and rejuvenate her spirit.

Diana Moraru – Manole

Job Title: Operations Director Joined: 2022

Essex Regional Operations Manager, Diana has a wealth of experience and knowledge from across Health and Social Care Sectors.


With over 16 years of experience, Diana started her career as a Health Care Assistant in a neurosurgical hospital and went on to train and qualify as a Nurse in Romania. Since coming to the UK in 2016 as a Nurse, Diana has had various roles leading up to her first General Manager role in 2017.


Diana’s experience in developing a team’s knowledge and skills through leadership and mentoring is something she is passionate about and is looking forward to supporting RCH Care Homes across Essex.


Another part of her role as Essex Regional Operations Manager that she loves is, ‘inspiring a great team to make further differences to the lives of the residents, making sure they are living their best life possible and that everyone feels it is a nice place to live and work; because it’s a home from home.’


Whilst not a work Diana enjoys travelling, keeping up to date with world news and being adventurous; this year she took part in a Sky Dive!

Job Title: Activity Co-ordinator Joined: 2017

After 25 years of a legal professions I was looking to change my career and do something local within my community to make a difference.
I stumbled upon Queens Court Care Home for vacancies and was offered the position of Activities Co-ordinator.


I have been in my role for 4 years, and have loved every minute. I have learned it is not just a job but a vocation and this has helped me to find my place in the community.


What I love about my role is that I am able to make a difference to our residents’ lives and their families. Anther important part of my role is bringing together the local community as a whole.


I was recently honoured that as testament and in recognition of my role and what I've achieved within the role as Queens Court's Activities Co-ordinator I recently won the Pride of Essex, Unsung Hero Award 2020, to which I was blown me away!


I hopefully look forward to welcoming you to our Home.
