My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our second Christmas stay as much as our first.
The food and drink is as good as any five-star hotel.
The accommodation is excellent, providing wonderful views of the seafront from the lounges as well as the conservatory.
All of the staff, those in the kitchen, the cleaners/housekeeping, administration, nurses and care assistants are all kind, caring, accommodating, and friendly. They are professional and empathetic and ensure that your time at RCH is stress free, which is most important whether you are post operative our staying for respite care.

Staying at RCH is sheer bliss - can't wait to go back in June !

The best place for recuperating from major surgery. Set on the seafront at Rustington in West Sussex.A beautiful building that is only surpassed by the wonderful care that you receive. All of the staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. There is medical staff on hand if you have any concerns and the food is excellent and plentiful! My only complaint if you could call it that is that my room was exceedingly small (but they do vary) but it was adequate and had what I needed plus I had wonderful views of the sea. At the time of writing lots of the bedrooms are being refurbished to a very high standard, mine wasnt one of them but I hardly spent any time in my room as there was often things going on to join in or sit in the lovely lounges or grounds I had physio which was an extra charge but well worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again if I needed to as you can concentrate on your recovery and not have to worry about anything else as everything is done for you.

I needed a break from everything and a time of resting and healing. I found all the staff at Rustington Convalescence Home very pleasant and caring. The food was excellent and the rooms clean. The staff were helpful in every way and I would not hesitate to recommend Rustington to those who need a time of rest or post operative recovery. My thanks goes to all the staff who assisted in any way they could.

I went to the Rustington Convalescents Home for 2 weeks over Christmas 2025 to recover from a hip replacement operation. An excellent place. clean, well run, nursing and physio staff to hand, excellent and varied food. Felt properly cared for, a temperature check every day was very reassuring. With Physio help I made a good recovery. I am due to have the other hip replaced soon and without doubt I will be seeking to go there again. I felt it was money well spent.

Hello there

I booked myself into Rustington Care Home straight from the hospital after my knee replacement op. I have nothing but praise for the staff who did exactly what I hoped they would do - they got me used to walking with crutches and to going up and down stairs, so that I was fully prepared to go home and get on with my life.

I really don't think I could have done it without them.

It is a very friendly place, the food was excellent and there are lots of opportunities to interact with the other guests. I have no hesitation in recommending them for any kind of rehabilitation needs.

I would echo all the comments about the sensational care you receive at the RCH. Living on my own I have been visiting as a respite client lately with two Christmas visits and another planned for june. The superb food, comfortable accomodation the welcome and care given by the staff and the position by the sea and freedom to go out is perfect. The best way to describe my visit is "Going on a cruise without the rocking and endless days at sea"

Thank you all for the care you give each individual who comes through your doors.

I had an emergency hernia operation and needed a place to recover and renew my appetite.
Please look at my previous remarks. They are good. The rooms have been undated since i have heard.
The staff has not changed much since I had my first stay after open heart surgery.
They were always helpful . Food excellent which helped me get my appetite back.
Beautiful views over the sea and a conservatory to sit in in the sun. Visitors always welcome.

I needed to give an excellent review as good was not good enough. I hope to go again soon.

This is a most remarkable place and exceeds all expectations. Others have commented on the facilities and the outstanding dedication of the staff. I can only echo those commends and endorse them fully. The whole environment in this establishment is highly conducive to post operative recovery and it is hard to imagine a more delightful environment. My stay was seamless from arrival to departure tinged by sadness when the day for departure came. Mitigated by the knowledge that I shall be returning within six months following the replacement of my other knee. So grateful thanks to the company for continuing to support this unique facility and to the Manager, her colleagues and staff, for outstanding care.

Very positive experience, would definitely recommend. Staff show great attention to detail and respond to every request or evidence of discomfort with care and kindness. I felt in very safe hands and my family were reassured too that even with a serious and unpredictable illness I would be well cared for. Full marks to everyone, thank you.

I came to this convalescent home to get back on my feet after some gruelling radiotherapy. All the carers and nurses were very kind, caring and professional. I was able to extend my week for two extra days without having to change rooms. When I left, I was sorry to say goodbye, but did feel able to care for myself after such a restful stay.

I came to Rustington Convalescent Home after major surgery to recuperate initially for one week. I was received with kind concern and found myself surrounded by such warm personal, competent professional care. Every person I met, housekeeping team, chefs, carers, medical staff, admin team - they all are sincerely professionals. They all work together to support the residents. The surroundings, buildings and gardens are beautiful and all contribute to the healing process. I stayed for two weeks, nurtured and restored. This is an outstanding institution. I am so grateful.

From the moment you arrive here you know you've come to a very special place. You have the beautiful buildings, gardens and delicious homemade food just to start with, but what makes this place truly exceptional is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. You are treated as an individual and like a guest rather than just a resident. The kindness, care and understanding I was shown was outstanding. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come here again.

The care home was recommended by an organisation which my late father enrolled my sister, myself and my brother many years ago. My sister recently had a knee replacement, contracted pneumonia and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. The convalescent home was a Godsend as the two weeks there helped her with her mobility and confidence. My wife and I stayed the middle weekend as it was my sister's birthday and we were made very welcome. All the staff were wonderful as was the physio, the hairdresser and other therapists.
