The ideal residence to welcome you after surgery. Nursing support is available daily. The staff have been, without exception, extremely kind and caring. The general atmosphere is encouraging and respectful. The meals are excellent. The general atmosphere is friendly and encouraging.
I came to this convalescent home to get back on my feet after some gruelling radiotherapy. All the carers and nurses were very kind, caring and professional. I was able to extend my week for two extra days without having to change rooms. When I left, I was sorry to say goodbye, but did feel able to care for myself after such a restful stay.
High-class holistic care is given by kind and thoughtful staff.
Extremely comfortable. Highest level of care and individual attention. A very happy and reassuring atmosphere.
I came to Rustington Convalescent Home after major surgery to recuperate initially for one week. I was received with kind concern and found myself surrounded by such warm personal, competent professional care. Every person I met, housekeeping team, chefs, carers, medical staff, admin team - they all are sincerely professionals. They all work together to support the residents. The surroundings, buildings and gardens are beautiful and all contribute to the healing process. I stayed for two weeks, nurtured and restored. This is an outstanding institution. I am so grateful.
There are plenty of staff who are always pleasant, attentive and helpful.
The hygiene and covid testing is excellent.
From the moment you arrive here you know you've come to a very special place. You have the beautiful buildings, gardens and delicious homemade food just to start with, but what makes this place truly exceptional is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. You are treated as an individual and like a guest rather than just a resident. The kindness, care and understanding I was shown was outstanding. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come here again.
The care home was recommended by an organisation which my late father enrolled my sister, myself and my brother many years ago. My sister recently had a knee replacement, contracted pneumonia and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. The convalescent home was a Godsend as the two weeks there helped her with her mobility and confidence. My wife and I stayed the middle weekend as it was my sister's birthday and we were made very welcome. All the staff were wonderful as was the physio, the hairdresser and other therapists.
On arrival, a member of staff welcomed me and actually remembered me from previous stays. The rooms were clean, tidy and well appointed. As for the food, it could not be faulted. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all fantastic as well as for morning and afternoon tea. PS I put on 2 kilos!
I went there initially because it was right by the sea but didn't expect so many other benefits. Thank you Rustington
I have stayed here several times in the past and have always had amazing treatment, feeling well looked after and very safe.
The staff are always friendly and caring - nothing is too much trouble for them so they have a good rapport with all patients.
I can't praise the whole experience of being cared for by Rustington Convalescent Home enough.
A place of rest and healing. Lovely building thoughtfully and comfortably decorated and furnished. Welcoming with a variety of different shared rooms from sitting and watching the sea, having a snooze, watching TV or playing cards, chess, draughts, Scrabble or doing puzzles. Generous meals and excellent staff including some trained medical members. To be treated with care and as an intelligent human. Perfect.
I took the full two weeks to recover and was very happy with almost everything. I wish there was a laundry service (would pay extra for it) for people who do not live locally. The fitted sheet on my bed kept coming off (too small) and my quilt was very hot I wish there were more activities (trips to chemists etc) and finally any chance of a gym?
We do organise 3 trips per week to the local area and did lay on an extra trip to Worthing for you during your stay. We are always happy to book taxis...
What a wonderful place for R and R after an operation. The care that I have received has been fantastic - what wonderful staff. The accommodation. The food and love has been 100%.
The home manager was very helpful and understanding in making the reservation to stay.
The home/building is built to a high standard with generous proportions of room size all very well decorated and maintained.
All the staff are so helpful, friendly and caring.
Food was excellent in quality, range and size.
Good activities and services.
The Rustington Convalescent Home whose building dates back to the 1890's is in a beautiful setting right by the English Channel. The rooms are very comfortable and the food and medical attention are excellent which all aided my recovery from major surgery. In addition, the fees charged are probably more reasonable than to other equivalent homes and I would certainly not consider going anywhere else for rest and recuperation. I cannot recommend the Rustington Convalescent Home highly enough.
I had no idea such wonderful establishment had survived. This is like a 5-star hotel crossed with a private hospital. The care is expert with first class food in elegant surroundings. After a week I feel like a new person, ready to go back to independent living.
The care and support given by the staff is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble! The quality and standard of the food is far better than many top hotels.
Guests/clients/patients are precious and treated as such.
My wife, mother-in-law and myself stayed for a week at Rustington Convalescent Home, Littlehampton, for respite following hospital treatments. We had an excellent time staying there. The care and support given to us was first-class, the food was superb and the home itself was extremely comfortable. Interesting visits and entertainment were also provided. The home itself is adjacent to the sea, and hence the environment is very healthy and beneficial to those who need to recover from illness or surgery.
Wonderful place. Superb staff at all levels. Lovely building. Spotlessly clean. Fine situation. Excellent meals. Residents are very happy and well looked after. Rooms could be larger if possible.
