My Mum is 94 and although still living independently in her own home, she attends the Castle Care Home new "drop-in activities day". She has experienced many different things such as art, a mother’s group who bring in their young children for interaction, a singing day and a saxophonist. As a...
My Mum is 94 and although still living independently in her own home, she attends the Castle Care Home new "drop-in activities day". She has experienced many different things such as art, a mother’s group who bring in their young children for interaction, a singing day and a saxophonist. As a non-resident, she has always been greeted with a warm welcome from both residents and staff and I have been welcome to stay with my mother to make sure she is happy. Lunch, teas and cake are provided. She always comes home smiling and happy and has enjoyed her day.
Currently, in her life she sometimes gets forgetful and a bit confused, the training and dementia knowledge at Castle Care Home is excellent and I feel comforted to leave my mother in their care knowing their clients are their top priority.

I would, without hesitation, recommend Castle Care Home in Torrington to anyone who is thinking of care for their elderly relatives.

I have found all the staff to be very friendly. They really seem to care for my 93-year-old dad. His double incontinence does not seem to worry them. Thank you.

I really like the interaction of the different age groups when little ones come for "messy play" etc. This really seems to brighten the spirits of the residents. Also, the home pets are a welcome distraction and very popular.
