Lovely environment. Very pleasant and helpful staff. It is a weight off my shoulder knowing that my uncle is cared for very well. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff; the management team are always available to talk to. I feel they all deserve recognition for their outstanding management of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Staff very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful nursing home.
Very caring to all residents and open visiting is good in normal times as I have to work and don't live nearby.
A really good nursing home, in my opinion.

Hoping to visit relatives again; maybe later this year.

Farway was really on the ball in closing home quickly to relative/friends visiting. They have been very efficient in sending updates since March so that I am aware of exactly what's going on within the home, and I have been emailing weekly for a personal update, which is always answered promptly. They are always willing to take the phone into the patient if you ring. It's not easy times for anyone not being able to visit loved ones, but I think Farway has done a brilliant job in trying to help in this respect. Well done to all staff at Farway.

The care that my mother is receiving can not be better since she was admitted. The staff are attentive, caring, and nothing is to much trouble when I’ve visited or called to see how she is.

Since the pandemic, they have seemed to make sure the health and safety of the residents are uppermost.

My grandad came here for a year from the hospital but unfortunately, passed away on Christmas day. Farway Grange Care Home (Nursing) has been amazing and I would recommend anyone to go there. All the staff are amazing! Management are just absolutely fantastic! Will keep in touch with all of them there. Grandad was so well cared for and always clean and tidy with so many friends. Activities fantastic!

My mother arrived at Farway Grange in April 2018 and from the moment she crossed the threshold the care was superb. Genuine care and compassion combined with cheerfulness and attention to detail. Nothing is too much trouble with understanding and kindness shown to me too. I wish I had known about Farway Grange when my father needed care.

My aunt has been in Farway Grange for just over one year now and she is thriving. The care and attention she gets is excellent and she is a very popular resident. The staff go out of their way to make her feel as if it is her home and there is always plenty of activities to keep her entertained.

I find the home warm, friendly, attentive and homely.

The staff have struck up a great rapport with my mum-in-law and I feel secure in the knowledge she is in safe hands. The staff are always on hand if we have any questions or concerns and feel our point of view is important. The home is always clean and tidy.

Overall Experience

My father was resident at Farway Grange for two years and I cannot recommend the home highly enough. 'Home' is the right word because it really felt like one to us and was a sharp contrast from the experience of seeing dad in the hospital. Dad's room was really lovely, which was important as he lost mobility.

Care was always attentive but not obtrusive and I came to recognise the staff as they checked on my father and re-positioned him. Carers were always patient with Dad and would always do their best to engage with him and make him smile. Dad could be a bit of a fussy eater but the staff always made efforts to accommodate him where possible, even when it meant getting some extra pudding!

I cannot fault Farway Grange. The staff are excellent, it is very homely with lovely home cooked meals and I would highly recommend Farway Grange to anybody. I am glad that my dad is in a safe and friendly environment and am more than happy to leave him here when I go home from visits knowing he is well cared for and more importantly he loves it here also and has made new friends.

Every visit is greeted by a cheerful staff member. The staff are polite, very helpful and always offer you tea or coffee. Always find my dad comfortable, washed and dressed. He enjoys the food and the wide choice on the menu is good, daily. The staff are very caring and they arranged for a special chair for my dad so he can sit comfortably, rather than having to stay in bed because he slips down if sat in a riser/recliner. The home is very clean and tidy. It also feels homely. There are always activities arranged each day, every month, and they are displayed on the notice board. An Amaal Sumer and Christmas Fayre is held and organised by the manager and staff which are enjoyable.
