Mom has dementia, which can present challenges and she has required a review by mental health team. We are pleased that this has now been resolved and that the appropriate support is in place.
Overall we are very satisfied with the care she receives. It is reassuring to see her settled supported and well cared for. We appreciate the staffs efforts in helping her adjust to her new home.

My Dad was placed in Lavender Court initially by Social services, but we realised not long after he had been there that he was in a very special, caring environment. When we were offered the chance to move him to another one, we did explore those options, but we concluded that Lavender Court was the place he had been happiest, healthiest and safest since he had first become very ill. There was no doubt in our minds that he was in the best place, because of what makes Lavender Court so special - the staff. They made my Dad feel like he could learn to live his new life with his limitations. They helped him live as happily as possible in his new circumstances, supported his growing list of needs, maintained his dignity and - most importantly - welcomed him as part of their community. When my Dad was at Lavender Court, we could sleep at night, safe in the knowledge that he was being looked after, which is what he needed more than anything.

The staff are impeccable and very genial. They were and are very welcoming, understanding and keep the place fresh and clean. We loved the fact there was no scent of urine. We are so pleased to be in connection to this care home. This is a very difficult job so they should be greatly honoured and respected.

My mum flourished there, staff took the time to get to know her and what she liked. She was happy and I've lots of lovely memories. Her medical needs were managed very well. She loved her icecream and biscuits, which were always available.

Sorry that you feel unsatisfied with the care provided by our staff to your father-in-law. I had a detailed chat with the home manager about this situation. I was informed that our staff tried their best to manage your father-in-law but when they couldn't, they called the ambulance. It was the ambulance personnel who called the police as it was difficult even for them to contain the situation. I completely understand how you must be feeling seeing your loved one in distress. However, I politely disagree with the things you mentioned in the review about our staff and the home. They simply are the best !
