Mum seems to be getting very good care at the home, under difficult times. Staff are always helpful in our visits, and they are keeping residents and visitors safe. All in all, the family are very pleased with Mum's care.

Despite taking a few weeks to settle, Mum is now very settled. Food and care is excellent. Staff are fantastic. It's been a very worrying time for the family which the staff have guided us through.

My mother really enjoyed her respite care and found all the staff friendly and helpful. I always found the staff to be professional with excellent communication. They always did everything with a smile and friendly banter. I could not have wished for a better place to take care of my Mum. From one professional to another - many thanks.

My mum has been in the care home for three months, She has settled very well, and the staff and care home managers have been very supportive and given my mum the best care possible. All the staff are extremely helpful and always ready to help in a very pleasant manner. I would totally recommend Park Lane, and I am very grateful to a daughter of another resident who recommended the care home to me.

During mum's stay, staff are always keen to ensure she is happy and that her requested care/needs are accommodated. They always show genuine concern for her well-being and are keen to understand her as an individual so all aspects of her stay can be adjusted to her specific needs. Any concerns are always addressed and great solutions always found.

The staff all treat mum as if one of the family.

The care here really is care. The staff are respectful to the residents and nothing is too much trouble. Mum's room was really small and badly in need of decorating but common rooms were clean and cheery. I always felt welcome as a visitor and was kept informed about how Mum was doing. Thank you, Park Lane.

My wife and I had some reservations about getting uncle into a care home. Since he has always been a very independent man, living in his own home with care. We should not have worried. From our first meeting with staff at Park Lane we recommend that they were very good, helpful and caring. Once moved in, uncle settled within a couple of weeks and was full of praise for the accommodation, the food and the attention he was given. The home is clean and tidy.

I am delighted with the care and attention my mum has received at Park Lane care home. My mum went from hospital and has been so well looked after and is very settled and happy. We spent a year looking for a place and feel very lucky to have found a place here.

The staff are incredibly kind and caring, my mum loves them all. She enjoys the food which is prepared and served with care and attention. I can never thank them enough for taking her and looking after her. The home is managed by a wonderful lady who has been a great help to us all.

Overall Experience
My mother came out of hospital on palliative care, like a corpse, not eating or drinking: only a quarter of a teaspoon of yoghurt fed to her. She was also totally confused. Soon, at Park Lane, she was sitting up in the day room, eating and drinking all by herself. We could not believe the transformation. This improvement has continued. The standard of care is unbelievable. She was sent from hospital to die; now she has a new life. The staff are so friendly and caring; treating the residents as friends, not patients. When they have five minutes quiet time, they sit with the residents, chatting to them. They maintain a happy, lively atmosphere, when they must be very tired at times.
From lying curled up, taking no interest in anything, mum now plays skittles, bowls, dominoes, bingo, throwing bean bags at tin cans, joins in with visiting singers.
It is better than a hotel.

The food is excellent and freshly made. If they want something different, they do their best to oblige.

Mum is really settled here and comfortable with the care and assistance she receives. All the staff are really friendly and helpful which gives me peace of mind that mum is being well cared for and safe and sound in "her" home. Very lucky to have Park Lane 10mins from my home.

We are happy with the care mum is receiving.
The girls look after mum as best they can.

Mum has challenging behaviour especially in evening but when necessary, girls have contacted us and as mum likes to be outside, the girls try to take her out when possible. They also look after stoma very well. It is healing beautifully. Thank you.

Overall Experience

My husband and I visit a friend at least twice a week and have got to know many of the residents at Park Lane. We find the staff very caring and helpful, residents have a wide range of needs and this can be very demanding and at our visits we have found the staff cope extremely well under sometimes very trying conditions. We are there most after tea time and the choice of food looks very appetising.

Review from Marion N (Sister of Resident) published on 21 May 2018 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My brother has been at Park Lane Care Home for three years, I can only thank the care team for the care and attention they give him. I know when we leave him after a visit, he will be safe and look after with the best care anyone can have. The care team are the best, they give a lot of love to the clients. My sister was ill with cancer, we knew she didn't have long to live, we asked if she could be with our brother in her last week. The manager made her last week so comfortable and she died at peace knowing all the family were with her at the end. All the family will be eternally grateful because she wanted to be with her brother and she was.
