Mum has been in Fountains Lodge Care Home for seven months and in all of that time the care has been fantastic. Mum could be hard work at times but the patience shown to her is marvellous. The food is good and plentiful and the cleanliness is A-one.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so happy to hear that you find the care your Mmum receives to be fantastic. Thank you for choosing us for her care.
My partner has lived at Fountains Lodge for nearly 3 years. During this time she has been treated with sympathetic courtesy and respect by all the regular staff and her needs have been promptly dealt with by the care team. Thankfully, the Covid situation has now eased a little and more freedoms are back in place which has had a calming effect on my partner's mental state. The Fountains Lodge Team are always friendly and helpful and always keep me up to speed with any issues or changes. I would not hesitate to recommend Fountains Lodge to anyone with similar needs to those of my partner.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after, we hope to continue providing your Partner with the best possible care.
We moved my father to Fountains Lodge with a degree of trepidation having vowed as a family never to put him into a home. The decision by the family to move him to Fountains turned out to be absolutely 100% correct. The care and attention that he received from day one from all staff was fantastic. Courteous and patient, the staff treated dad like he was one of their own relatives. He was treated with the utmost dignity right up to when he passed away. All do a terrific job in what I would say are often, trying and difficult circumstances. The home is very clean, spacious and homely with great food. I would have no hesitation in recommending Fountains Lodge. I was pleasantly surprised and amazed.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your father in our care. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. We are happy to hear you feel like a part of our...
The welcome from reception is always friendly and welcoming. Always staff available to assist in reception. First appearance and feeling very positive. After visiting for a number of weeks happy to say this level stays constant. Thus feeling is then carried on throughout the home. I also notice constantly the compassion shown particularly by domestic staff.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope Fountains Lodge Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
I'm extremely pleased with the care my mother is receiving at Fountains Lodge. The care and administration teams have been both caring and efficient, and mum has bloomed under the support and kindness she has been receiving. It was a hard decision to move mum from her flat but honestly, it was the right thing to do.
Thank you for your kind words. We hope Fountains Lodge care home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible and it's nice to hear that she has "bloomed" while in our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care and kindness that the staff have shown to my father during the time he has been living at Fountains Lodge. I know that he is being well looked after and that there are many planned activities, which have been well organised. Staff take time to spend with him and also update family members as to his health and well-being.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your lovely review. It is always nice to hear positive feedback from relatives, and we hope to continue providing a high level of care for your father. Thank you for choosing Fountains Lodge Care Home.
Even though Mum is not settled, we feel this is a lovely, kind and caring environment for her to be living in. Everyone is friendly and approachable.
Thank you for your kind words. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your Mums stay as comfortable as possible.
I have acted as Power of Attorney for a resident who has lived for the past seven years at Fountains Lodge Care Home. She had spent the previous three years at another care home and found her increasingly difficult to deal with. However, right from the start, the staff at Fountains Lodge adjusted her medication, and her behaviour became normal. She positively thrived in the warm, caring environment of the home, and I was always touched by the concern of the staff, who seemed to treat her as one of their own family. In the last couple of years, she was increasingly unable to recognise those around her, but she was content, eating well and clearly in very good hands. Last month she died peacefully, and I cannot express my thanks warmly enough to the staff at all levels for making her life as happy as it could be.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are happy that we were able to provide your loved one with the environment she needed to thrive. Hopefully, it is comforting knowing that she received the best care possible in her final years. Thank you again for taking the time to leave your feedback.
My husband has a combative stage when he joined this home, but he was never isolated by the carers and given positive encouragement. Later when he was taking medication for the first time he began to entertain and dance and sing to try and make a happy atmosphere. He was encouraged by the staff once again and began to find people to talk to. To join a home is a long journey and he has been helped along the journey by caring staff and encouragement.
We are happy to hear Fountains Lodge care home did everything to make the transition as easy as possible for your husband and that he never felt isolated. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling that their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for your lovely review.
Fountains have looked after my grandma for 6 years and I think they are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They treat grandma and all residents like family and I feel very happy with the care she receives. They are great at communicating with us and I know everything that grandma gets up to.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are happy to hear that you feel like part of our Fountains Lodge family.
Fountains Lodge is like a home from home and staff like family. The care provided by all members of staff to residents is both knowledgeable and respectful, gentle and kind, with a little fun, and residents are encouraged to join in with daily activities. The nursing staff, if applicable, will keep you informed and up to date with any areas requiring prescribed medication and treatment and any changes in the resident's health. Be assured that you’re relative will be well cared for.
Thank you for your lovely review., we really appreciate you taking the time to write this. Thank you for your recommendation.
We were concerned about mum being in care, particularly given a bad experience at her previous care home. But Fountains Lodge have restored our faith. All of the staff met so far seem to care about the welfare of the residents and communication with the family has been exceptional. Mum's condition is particularly difficult at the moment and the nursing staff have been very proactive in trying to analyse her issues and get her as comfortable as possible. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad to hear that your faith has been restored by the experience you have had with Fountains Lodge. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make your mum as settled and comfortable as possible. Thank you again for your recommendation.

My mother in law became a resident in May 2020 and from that day, she has been given the very best of care. The staff are friendly, professional and show great empathy to the residents and their families. Communication throughout the pandemic has been extremely good and every possible effort has been made to maintain as near a normal life as possible within the home. In fact, my mother in law is so busy that it’s sometimes difficult to pin her down!
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments, It is lovely to hear that you feel your mother in law has been well cared for in our home and that she is kept busy. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your mother In law's stay as comfortable as possible.
The staff at Fountains Lodge Care Home have been fantastic this month helping us deal with a few issues with Mum. She had a fall and then broke her wisdom tooth. They were very attentive to all our needs and helped us with providing staff for the numerous dental visits we had to make. They have also been extra vigilant with Mum overnight in case of further mishaps. I cannot thank them enough.

My dad has been at Fountains Lodge Care Home for almost 6 years now. Throughout this time the staff have been incredible. Sadly our dad is coming to the end of his life and we feel so thankful that we chose Fountains. The loveliest team of people who have looked after my dad with such care, respect and warmth. We will be forever grateful.

This process is harrowing and you feel helpless and useless when the time comes to move loved ones to a care home; wasn't my decision but the NHS! Fountains Lodge Care Home understands and gently supports the new arrival whilst they adapt and oh so frequently question where they are but when the penny drops and they start to recognise their new surroundings, it is best for everyone. Fountains Lodge excel on care for their residents. It is very clear to us.
Thank you for your feedback. We hope everyone at Fountains Lodge helped make the transition as easy as possible for you and your loved one. We know how distressing this can be, and it can take some time to adjust, please let us know if there is anything further we can do.
Young lady caring for our friend appeared very aware of her needs. Made her birthday celebration a very happy occasion for us all.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the celebrations for your Friend's Birthday.
