This place is like a palace! It is more like being at a hotel rather than a care home. The place is clean and the carers are lovely. The garden is beautiful and so peaceful. I cannot fault it! The security is amazing, I know my grandmother is safe but she has the freedom to wander.

My mother arrived at Cuffley Manor after a long hospital admission.
We are delighted with the care she has received the dedication, motivation and enthusiasm from the staff is outstanding. The stimulation and distraction we could never give at home. Cuffley Manor is very clean and well-presented with
fantastic food and variety of choice. The cafe has been a great place for our family to have some time with our mother as we always used to go out all the time. She has settled in well.

My mother has been a resident at Cuffley Manor for 8 months. Transition to care was always going to be challenge but we couldn't have hoped for a smoother change. On our exploratory tour, it was clear that the environment and staff set this home apart from others we visited and the home has lived up
to our experience.
Reply from Marion Wak-Williams, Manager at Cuffley ManorThe team will be chuffed to hear your beautiful and complimentary feedback, your mother is an amazing woman, she is a joy to have.

Our experience at Cuffley Manor has been excellent. It really does feel like home from home. Now that my mother is recovering from her stroke her friends visit and join her for coffee in the beautiful winter garden room. There are always lovely cakes and sandwiches! The staff at Cuffley Manor are extremely
welcoming and caring and take the time to get to know the residents. I highly recommend you visit and see for yourself.

My father needed respite care to aid recovery after a three week hospital stay. A big decision for us as a family to place him into care. Cuffley Manor sounded too good to be true when we visited, but I can't say enough good things about it. The management and staff are amazing, quality of dignified
care exemplary. The room, facilities and food very, very good. Dad went home yesterday after a month in Cuffley's care, fitter and more confident. Thank you.

Excellent support provided to my father over a consistent period of seventeen months from March 2022. NHS had suggested that his condition would be difficult to maintain for over five to eight months (heart failure/kidney failure) but his life was extended to seventeen months, allowing him to complete
all his lifetime goals and to tidy up his affairs/sell his family home of forty-seven years and establish an office facility at his room at Cuffley Manor. His preferences were honoured and he was encouraged to make all his own choices and decisions in a medically supported way - truly excellent!

There is always a very friendly atmosphere in Cuffley Manor and it is easy to get to know all the staff, which makes everyone feel very much at home. Any problems or worries can be discussed and a solution found rapidly. The cafe area makes an ideal place for socialising with other residents and to
enjoy organised events. A lot of thought has been given to making residents comfortable and stimulated.

Have to give a 5-star review to the business development manager who went over and above helping me move both my parents over from Portugal into the home. As it was difficult to visit in advance, she went into work early to do a video tour of the premises while it was quiet, stayed in constant contact
and answered any queries (even silly o'clock in the morning and late at night). An absolute superstar.

My stay was a little out of the norm being relatively short.
The home is purpose-built to a very high standard rather than an existing property being adapted. This is a great benefit in providing excellent facilities.
The key to the success of this facility is the very caring, high standard of the
management team - two were particularly prominent in this regard.
The staff were universally welcoming and caring - being away from one's usual surroundings carries a degree of stress which was lessened considerably by the happy atmosphere.
The standard of the catering was very good with excellent choices at all meals.
I would certainly recommend Cuffley Manor to anyone needing this sort of facility.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.907)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.907) out of 10 for Cuffley Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 55 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 54 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.907 for Cuffley Manor is calculated as follows: ( (592 Excellents x 5) + (48 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 646 Ratings = 4.907
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cuffley Manor is based on 54 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 54 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I came to the UK to pursue my master's. I started working for TLC as a part-time care assistant in 2021. Though I had never worked in the field of care before, my experience at TLC has piqued my curiosity in it. I was formerly employed in Cherry Hinton, but due to commuting issues, I was transferred to Cuffley Manor. I grew close to the Cuffley people, and I eagerly anticipated working alongside my colleagues each day.
My academics required me to participate in an internship program. I received an offer from TLC to work as an administrator and financial assistant for a year at the Carlton Court Care Home. I was given fresh opportunities for learning and growth while I was at Carlton. I would say that Carlton changed the course of my financial career. I was now offered the amazing chance to return to Cuffley Manor in the capacity of Manager of Finance and HR.

I joined Cuffley Manor in June 2016 when it first opened, with new residents joining. I was able to offer care and housekeeping. This was so important for me to learn and understand, and today I can say I am very proud of my home, as this gives me so much joy and satisfaction seeing our family grow at Cuffley Manor.

Seeing residents’ smiles, taking time to sit and talk with them, sometimes, little things are like milestones, seemingly insignificant, but with a huge impact. That’s what working at Cuffley Manor is for me.

In my spare time, I like reading fantasy books, travelling and spending time with my family. I like to learn new skills and always carry a beautiful smile.

Job Title: Wellbeing Lead Joined: 2025

From an early age, I developed a deep commitment to supporting wellbeing and mental health, always taking pride in helping those around me feel valued and uplifted.

During my Honours degree in Psychology, I became increasingly aware of the profound connection between physical health and mental well-being. This insight inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Health Psychology at UCL, where I specialised in understanding and promoting positive behaviour change. My academic training has equipped me with strong, evidence-based skills in therapeutic communication, holistic assessment, and person-centred care.

Alongside my studies, I gained valuable experience working within the NHS, supporting diverse patient groups and developing key competencies in safeguarding, multidisciplinary teamwork, and delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Combined with a personal enthusiasm for organising meaningful activities and creating joyful, purposeful environments, these experiences naturally guided me to my role at Cuffley Manor.

Here, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional wellbeing support—honouring every resident with the same respect, warmth, and dignity I would offer my own family, and ensuring that each day holds moments of connection, laughter, and quality care.
