All the staff at Cuffley Manor have supported my mum in their various roles in a caring and dedicated way. They have also made myself and my family very welcome so that I feel it is a real joint enterprise. Moving to a care home must always be traumatic for the residents but the staff have dealt with
this in a compassionate and professional way.
Reply from Marion Wak-Williams, Manager at Cuffley ManorThank you so much for your beautiful feedback, the team will be ecstatic, you are a wonderful family. Thank you for entrusting your mum in our care, she is an amazing lady, we are lucky to have her.
Thank you for all your support to the team especially your carol-singing friends, for their amazing performance.
Thank you again and Merry Christmas.

Mum remains happy at Cuffley Manor Care Home and has been well cared for, especially during some recent challenging times. The staff have always been very friendly and professional and there is always plenty of activity to keep the residents occupied.
Mum would love to have more opportunities to go
out and about and it would be good to see Cuffley Manor invest in its own transportation for residents.
Overall, Cuffley Manor remains a lovely home that is easy to recommend.
Reply from Marion Wak-Williams, Manager at Cuffley ManorGood Evening,

I am very happy with our experience at Cuffley Manor Care Home. The staff are very attentive. One member of staff, particularly, is a wonderful carer and interactor with my mother. The only suggestion I have is to keep a close eye on her diet and sugary, acid intake and make sure she has her skin well
moisturised. Otherwise, I am so happy with my mum at Cuffley manor.

I visited Cuffley Manor as I am currently researching suitable care homes for my mother. I was given a comprehensive tour of the home and was very impressed by the facilities and the staff I met. The décor is of a high standard and all parts of the building are contemporary with a lot of natural light.
The bedrooms are spacious and well furnished. The home has several lounges, everywhere was very clean and the garden well maintained. It has an appearance more in keeping with that of a hotel than the traditional image of a care home. I met several staff, who hold a variety of roles within the home, and found everyone very friendly and professional. There also seemed to be an excellent rapport between residents and staff. My mother and I were impressed by the extensive and varied menu and by the wide choice of activities available to residents.
I would certainly recommend that anyone considering a care home visit Cuffley Manor.
Reply from Marion Wak-Williams, Manager at Cuffley ManorThank you very much for taking your time to provide such wonderful feedback. It was pleasure showing you around the home, thank you for visiting Cuffley Manor, we hope to see you and your mother very soon.

My experiences are generally good. However, it is difficult to be completely objective during a period when the home has been subject to many Covid restrictions.
Recently there have been a number of management changes on top of the pressure to keep caring staff during the current nationwide shortage.
This has resulted in a negative impact on residents' wellbeing (from the feedback I receive from my relation).
Having said that, the caring staff provide good care and support. As one of the most important aspects of the service provision, this should be recognised.
The management team are polite and visibly active. Based on the quality and content of the relative communication emails, it is clear there is a severe lack of 'attention to detail' with evidence of repeating errors, typos and inappropriate use of personal data. This usually is an indicator of failures in governance and internal processes resulting from poor leadership, management organisation and control.
In summary, accepting the unprecedented situation over the last two years, the general level of care provided is good. Following the recent changes, leadership and management support needs to improve significantly.
Reply from Lulu Razzaq, Community Development Manager at Cuffley ManorThank you for your balanced and thoughtful feedback. This has indeed been a challenging period for the care industry as a whole and we are relieved that we are coming back to some normality. We are incredibly grateful to both our residents and the team who have collectively put in an incredible effort to ensure we have the best possible environment despite the continual challenges we have been facing. We are continuously working to adapt, improve our processes and our standards; part of which includes having put guidelines and training in place in relation to relative communication to ensure we do not repeat any mistakes made earlier this year.

My grandmother has been a resident for nearly two years, and I couldn’t wish for more. The staff are extremely caring and friendly, and she is ultimately looked after very well. For her birthday celebrations this month, the staff threw her a fabulous afternoon tea party, which we were invited to. It
was so special to celebrate with her! I would highly recommend this care home.
Reply from Kay Mitchell, Manager at Cuffley ManorThank you so much for leaving such a lovely review. Your Grandmother is very much loved and respected at Cuffley Manor, and it was our pleasure to help make her very special birthday one to remember. Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.901)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.901) out of 10 for Cuffley Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 44 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 43 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.901 for Cuffley Manor is calculated as follows: ( (470 Excellents x 5) + (39 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 515 Ratings = 4.901
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cuffley Manor is based on 43 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 43 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I came to the UK to pursue my master's. I started working for TLC as a part-time care assistant in 2021. Though I had never worked in the field of care before, my experience at TLC has piqued my curiosity in it. I was formerly employed in Cherry Hinton, but due to commuting issues, I was transferred to Cuffley Manor. I grew close to the Cuffley people, and I eagerly anticipated working alongside my colleagues each day.
My academics required me to participate in an internship program. I received an offer from TLC to work as an administrator and financial assistant for a year at the Carlton Court Care Home. I was given fresh opportunities for learning and growth while I was at Carlton. I would say that Carlton changed the course of my financial career. I was now offered the amazing chance to return to Cuffley Manor in the capacity of Manager of Finance and HR.

I joined Cuffley Manor in June 2016 when it first opened, with new residents joining. I was able to offer care and housekeeping. This was so important for me to learn and understand, and today I can say I am very proud of my home, as this gives me so much joy and satisfaction seeing our family grow at Cuffley Manor.

Seeing residents’ smiles, taking time to sit and talk with them, sometimes, little things are like milestones, seemingly insignificant, but with a huge impact. That’s what working at Cuffley Manor is for me.

In my spare time, I like reading fantasy books, travelling and spending time with my family. I like to learn new skills and always carry a beautiful smile.

Job Title: Wellbeing Lead Joined: 2025

From an early age, I developed a deep commitment to supporting wellbeing and mental health, always taking pride in helping those around me feel valued and uplifted.

During my Honours degree in Psychology, I became increasingly aware of the profound connection between physical health and mental well-being. This insight inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Health Psychology at UCL, where I specialised in understanding and promoting positive behaviour change. My academic training has equipped me with strong, evidence-based skills in therapeutic communication, holistic assessment, and person-centred care.

Alongside my studies, I gained valuable experience working within the NHS, supporting diverse patient groups and developing key competencies in safeguarding, multidisciplinary teamwork, and delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Combined with a personal enthusiasm for organising meaningful activities and creating joyful, purposeful environments, these experiences naturally guided me to my role at Cuffley Manor.

Here, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional wellbeing support—honouring every resident with the same respect, warmth, and dignity I would offer my own family, and ensuring that each day holds moments of connection, laughter, and quality care.
