an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Mum is well looked after, seems contented. In difficult circumstances, the carers helped to celebrate our daughter's wedding with mum, setting up an afternoon tea. It was very special for us to have photos with her, as she was unable to attend the wedding day. Mum was obviously happy to see the family.

Very good communications prior to care. Clean room, well furnished. My relative reported very good meals, very easy to talk to staff about relative and how they are doing. Excellent for the respite care we needed.

Mum has always been cared for at Weald Heights with the utmost kindness and dignity. The staff are wonderful with her, particularly during this difficult year when we have not been able to visit. Members of staff went out of their way to ensure we had regular contact with Mum and on video calls where
possible. I have no hesitation in recommending Weald Heights to those suffering from dementia and their families.

My 96-year-old father received outstanding nursing care at Weald Heights for nearly one year. Within that time, he was beautifully and lovingly cared for by the wonderful staff. He enjoyed the good food and the company (particularly the staff) and he appreciated all the care and attention given to him.
He especially enjoyed time with the activity coordinators who brought much enrichment to his day to day life. In his final weeks, he benefitted from additional support from the local hospice and the care home staff carried out his care with dignity and respect. Overall, he was very happy at Weald Heights and that gave his family and friends much reassurance.

Since my mother moved to Weald Heights some 2 years ago, she has received excellent care. The staff always go the extra mile to ensure that her needs are catered for, and that she receives the care she needs. Mum was initially very unsettled but she was given additional time to ensure that she felt
more able to interact with the other residents. She is also able to take part in activities. Throughout the Covid pandemic, the management and staff have worked hard to ensure the safety of the residents and that relatives are able to visit. I would recommend Weald Heights.

The staff at Weald Heights are incredibly caring, professional and friendly and I have total confidence in their doing the absolute best for my mother at all times. They have done absolutely everything they could to allow as much safe access to Mum over the last year of lockdowns as was possible.

Very nice facility and caring staff. It is a real shame there is no garden or anywhere on the grounds for residents to go out to for a walk and get some fresh air. Food could certainly be more tasty and appealing.

At Weald Heights, we do have outside space for our residents to enjoy, including a secured area, patio area and a paved walk with seating. Residents can also enjoy the beautiful views of the Weald. We actively encourage residents to spend time outside as part of their physical and spiritual wellbeing.

Our Head Chef meets all our residents and proactively addresses any concerns around the food offering. Our menus are regularly reviewed to coincide with seasons by adding a range of favourable dishes to meet residents individual choices and preferences. Variety of snacks and drinks are available at all times.


Our home manager, would be happy to discuss with you on an individual basis your expectations regarding the above and ways to improve the service offered.

I am amazed, given the current circumstances, at the energy, dedication and enduring pleasantness of the staff at Weald Heights. It has been a very difficult time for my mother who has both dementia and nursing needs, but it is obvious to me how very well she is cared for. Weald has managed to balance
safeguarding with safe visiting. I am very grateful to be able to visit in a safe, warm and relatively private environment. It is obvious from the affection and happiness that Mum displays to her carers that staff have gone well beyond ‘good care’. I can see that she feels safe and all her needs are well met. The recent ‘relsapp’ has enabled a closer ‘remote’ relationship between mum and our family. The exceptional Activities Team enthusiastically use this new app to promote contact; they stimulate and comfort mum by using material and information we provide on the app. I am so very grateful to the whole of the staff, from receptionists, nurses, carers, domestic staff and Activity Team.

Due to the unfortunate circumstances and constraints imposed by the covid-19 pandemic, this review is somewhat limited to the perspective of an occasional visitor being rightly permitted only limited access.
I am very happy to say that all times, even when under considerable and sometimes exceptional
pressures, every member of staff has been caring, courteous and generous with their time and understanding of a resident and relatives emotional needs.
Although due to my wife's clinical condition, it is somewhat difficult to completely understand her views, she appears to have settled over the last five months with minimum stress and discomfort.
Because of the problems of access, I have not been able to fully evaluate the facilities and services provided within Weald Heights beyond a single visit that I made months ago, from conversations with staff and to a limited extent with my wife's comments. None the less, I have confidence in giving all aspects of the care and comfort provided for my life as good to excellent.

Such a lovely home, a real community with amazing carers. Dementia is so cruel, needing so many types of care: medical, physical, emotional etc, all of which are provided to a high standard. Staff Always go the extra mile. We thoroughly recommend.

Covid 19 outside visit to see my mother. At such a difficult time Care UK ensured that both myself and my mother were safe. Well organised and professional as always. All staff were wearing their correct PPE and ensured that I was too.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Weald Heights for over a year and the care has been of a high standard. Since the arrival of Covid 19, all of the staff have been working under great pressure and still providing excellent care. They have made great efforts to keep us in touch with our relatives

Before moving to Weald Heights, Dad had been a daily visitor to see Mum who had come in with dementia. By the time Mum died, Dad had made a lot of friends at Weald Heights and was keen to move in. After a short period of adjustment (actually about 15 minutes) he found himself totally at home. He had
been in danger of becoming isolated and lonely living alone at home and he relished the comradeship and sense of community he found as a resident at Weald Heights. His sense of purpose was rediscovered and he lived his final year to the very fullest extent possible. He loved the various activities and was encouraged by the staff to participate in groups for activities which I thought wouldn't be of interest to him. The staff were unfailingly kind and helpful and when he was diagnosed with a serious lung condition in January, the standard of care was exceptional - as we had found with Mum. Not only was Dad cared for and nurtured, but the whole family felt welcomed. Thank you to everyone.

My sister has been a resident in Weald Heights for fifteen months and we have been very happy that she is well cared for. The last couple of months have been very difficult for everyone but the staff have excelled themselves, not only caring for my sister but keeping us informed and connected with her

I have only been able to visit my stepmother once before the lockdown but I found the home to be very clean and well presented and the staff to all be very helpful, kind and interested in what was best for her care.
Most of my dealings so far have been over the phone and have always been very positive.
The team dealing with the finances has been very helpful and efficient throughout.

From the moment I visited Weald Heights, the whole atmosphere and care team just blew me away. It’s such a breath of fresh air to see a home that completely contradicts any stereotypical images of boring, depressing, fuddy-duddy institutions. The furniture is bright and cheerful, the food fresh and
appetising and most importantly every single member of staff is kind, patient and fully committed to each and every resident, no matter how challenging their needs. One of the lovely carers once said to me, I treat your mum-in-law as if she were my 'own mum’ and that really resonated with me and rings true. It’s not an easy decision to move someone you love so much into a home, but Weald Heights do everything to make it a real home from home, and we so appreciate it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We chose Weald Heights as a care home for my dear mum as we were so impressed with the genuine care, the spotless environment, the light, bright rooms, the range of activities, the open, welcoming atmosphere and the quality of the food.
Mum took a while to settle and during this time, the staff could
not have tried harder to make her feel at home. The communication with us was, and continues to be, excellent and it was clear that her individual needs and happiness were paramount. Mum needs a range of support and eventually, it was decided that she should change floor as the environment would be more appropriate. This has certainly proved to be the case.
We are so grateful and appreciative of all the staff - residents are all treated with genuine compassion, care and respect (and a sense of humour!). Nothing seems to be too much for them.
I would recommend Weald Heights to anyone looking for a caring, safe environment for a loved one.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2016

I’m a registered nurse by training and have worked in older people’s care for 25 years. Before joining Weald Heights in 2016, I had managed a large care home for ten years. I’ve been at Weald Heights since before it opened its doors. I’m delighted at the way my team and I have made it a home with a first-class reputation.


I believe in setting the standard, rather than following, and we take an innovative, personalised approach to resident care. When residents said they fancied learning a new language, we set up Spanish lessons and joined with a local parent and toddler group so that the generations could learn together. And when a gentleman, who is a keen musician, wanted to visit the Royal Albert Hall for his 90th birthday, we worked with his family to make it happen and to give him an unforgettable day.


I was delighted with our ‘good’ rating from the CQC, which we gained in September 2018. I’m now looking forward to continuing to work with my skilled and passionate team to go one better. Our aim now is to become an ‘outstanding’ provider of great care for older people in Sevenoaks, and across Kent and the South East of England.
