St Pauls Care Centre

Words simply cannot describe the kindness, care and professionalism of all the staff who cared for my parents (both 87). It is impossible to single out any one individual nurse, carers, cleaners, chef, maintenance, laundry, activities, office staff and management. They were all truly exceptional. Sadly Mum passed away whilst in St Pauls, the dignity and respect afforded to Mum were incredible together with the support they gave my dad and siblings. Following a period of mourning with his family, Dad has now returned to St Pauls as there is no other place he would rather be, and his children are taking great comfort knowing how well he will be cared for.

From the short time my mother was a resident at St Pauls, she was cared for respectfully and with dignity. It was important to have one single point of contact and all staff, without exception, were helpful and pleasant. Although Mum suffered from dementia, the patience and care demonstrated by the staff was a huge relief for our family.

My husband recieved wonderful care and was treated with respect and understanding. I will always be grateful to the staff for nursing him back to health.

My mother was only a resident for a short time. During this period the staff were excellent and I could not fault the way my mother was looked after. The process for my mother to join the home was faultless. In my opinion, this is a very well-run home, which is certainly not easy to do during these very difficult times.

All of the staff at St Pauls from the admin, front of house, nurses, carers, cleaners and laundry have really managed the last 10 difficult months with amazing and outstanding professionalism. Our family are very grateful to all of them without exception during these very difficult times. Thank you so much, so appreciated.

I came here for a rest and to be looked after by the best staff so well. When the hospital told me I cannot go home, I was very upset, but within one hour, I was very happy with St Pauls Care Centre and was looked after very well. I wish them happiness, as they gave me. I love you all and thank you all.

St Pauls, as all care homes, should be brilliant all-round. Should you need a care home; this is the one.

Mum has been a resident of St Pauls Care Centre for approximately six years, and we couldn't have taken care of her any better ourselves. The staff from top to bottom were superb in all aspects.

I visited St Pauls when it was suggested that it would be suitable for my wife's needs and was very impressed by the design of the dementia floor and the Manager and staff who I met. During the 5 months my wife was there until she died, I became even more impressed b the dedication, facilities and the warmth showed to my wife and myself. We were fortunate to have experienced it.

In the two months Mum has been there I have been able to see her for less than 15 mins, the first visit was taken up with getting her things signed for. The second was cut short because of the weather. I called to talk to the nurse as I needed information. The male nurse was rude as I asked questions and said he was too busy. Each time I have talked to a nurse it went badly. One nurse said with her diagnosis I doubt she even knows where she is, when I asked how she was liking it there I complained and I was fobbed off.

Our mother has been a resident of St Pauls for the last 2 years until her recent death. She had many challenging conditions, primarily Alzheimer’s, but the staff at St Pauls were able to deal with all of them superbly. The care and love they have shown her has been second to none and we will always be incredibly grateful for everything they have done for her. They have also offered us as a family, constant support and maintained regular contact with us, even during these difficult times. We could not have asked for more from a care home.

This is my second comment as Dad has now sadly passed away and reviews the two-plus years he was cared for by the staff at St Pauls. Nothing has changed my view of the home and its people! They are all such caring and friendly folk. Dad was well looked after until the end and always treated as an individual; during his time there I knew that he was safe and being well cared for. It's like a family and we have become very fond of everyone there. Definitely a place to be recommended.

Our Dad has been in St. Pauls for quite a while and we would like to say how very well he has been looked after and cared for by a dedicated team. The staff are all very caring, friendly and warm. We, as a family, would like to thank St Paul's staff for all the love and care they have shown Dad and us over the years.

They have a very hard job!

Wonderful place to be. My mother is cared for, safe, clean, well fed (very important!) and has the most fantastic staff that seem to really care. I sleep well at night.

My mother took up residence in St Paul's Care Center after a long spell in hospital. She was always cared for with kindness and consideration by all the staff, and although it would not have been her wish to be in a care home, she was unable to look after herself. Fortunately for her family, the staff made sure St Paul's felt like her home until she passed away peacefully in their care.

My husband has been in St Pauls for nearly 4 years, during that time the family have been impressed with the care he has received. The staff are all wonderfully kind not only to my husband but the whole family. Although we see many sad things St Pauls is not a sad place. Thought and care have gone into making it a good place to live.

My mother is placed in St Pauls Care Centre. The family is pleased with the care that she receives and she is very happy in the home. We are grateful to all staff for the way they care for her.

I had a pleasant ensuite room with a TV to watch if I didn't wish to join other people in the lounge. I only spent a few days in the home before I felt fit enough to return home but would be quite happy to return there in the future should I need any type of care.
