Loughton Hall

My nan is a resident here, and it's clear she's very happy. The staff are incredibly supportive and friendly, and they genuinely care about her wellbeing and individual needs. We couldn't have picked a better place for her.

It is always hard placing a relative in a care home as you naturally worry about the level of care they will receive but I honestly can't fault Loughton Hall. There is a good ratio of staff to residents. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum is calm, always washed and dressed. Despite her not being mobile they take her into the lounge so she can watch TV, have company and be there for the entertainment. There are activities Monday to Friday which is amazing. The food is nice cooked fresh every day. Tea, coffee and biscuits in between meals. Mum gets help eating, she is changed regularly and her room is spotless. Staff make the effort to get to know everyone and genuinely care. I feel relaxed knowing they are taking such good care of her. They are angels. The manager is superb- knowledgeable, approachable and supportive.

I was very worried when we had to put my Nan in a carehome initially. But after the care, attention and kindness I can see her receiving at Loughton Hall any previous concerns were gone. The staff at Loughton hall are all so caring and attentive. They always keep me up to date and the way they treat my grandmother is heartwarming. I could not thank them all enough for looking after my Nan. They are all so amazing and caring and do the most lovely activities for their residence. THANK YOU ALL!

My Grandad stayed at Loughton Hall from May 2025-Jan 2026 the staff were friendly and welcoming. My children were always made to feel comfortable and accommodated when visiting. The home has a relaxed feeling about it for the residents. We visited very often (every other day) and always found all staff to be approachable, chatty and friendly

My father moved in as a resident in October 2025. The management and staff made him feel welcome from the moment he entered his new home. They encouraged us as a family to visit as often as we wanted, and more to the point, made him feel part of a family to which we also were included. I will admit myself that he gets confused and grumpy but he is alway treated with respect and his opinion is always respected. The home is always spotlessly clean and residents are encouraged to join in with the different activities that are on offer. It really is a home from home and makes me feel comforted that he is happy and safe.

The staff here are always so welcoming and friendly - they look after all of the residents (my nan included)so well. It is always a happy atmosphere when visiting , and I know my nan is happy here which is fantastic.

Any concerns are addressed immediately with staff always willing to help with requests or otherwise.

My mum is very happy here at Loughton Hall. She has a lovely room where she can put all her pictures and ornaments up. The manager is brilliant. All of the staff are caring and friendly . The care mum has received is excellent. We are very happy as a family to have found such a wonderful place for mum to live and spend the rest of her days amongst such caring and lovely people including the residents that I have got to know over the years and all the staff.

Staff are very helpful and polite. Nan is very well looked after and cared for. Staff are quick and friendly. The care given is incredible and staff truly care about residents and their familes. Nan is very happy here and I'm happy she's so happy.

Really cant fault it. 10/10 and the manager is absolutely lovely.

It's been a unique experience for me and it's been especially good to see how well the residents are cared for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Loughton Hall to anyone.

I have been absolutely delighted with the way Dad has settled into his new home at Loughton Hall. The staff and management have gone the extra mile for him and their service has been first-class. Dad is joining in with the many activities and is very happy with his new surroundings and friends.

We've moved Dad closer to home now but would like to express how grateful we are for their hard work and compassion. I have no doubt he will miss them all.

I think that Loughton Hall where my father has lived since September 2023 is excellent. My father is well looked after one of the staff, I highly recommend, her caring skills are amazing. She treats Dad like family, he feels so at ease in her care and asked me to thank her. She listens to all his needs and tries her best to make them happen. Thank you, you make the family’s life a bit easier.

My mum has only good things to say about the staff and the food, but this was not the right place for her to be - the other residents sometimes frightened her and she only wanted to be at home!

My aunt was transferred from the hospital to Loughton Hall for respite care and after 6 weeks she decided to remain. She says all the staff are lovely. The home is well staffed and there are always activities going on for residents which they are encouraged to become involved with. Every key event in the year is celebrated with a party or special tea or dressing up. The cook always tries to supply my aunt with meals she favours. The managers are always accessible to me and my aunt. The home is well run and clearly, everyone there works hard to do their best for their results with kindness and patience.

He cannot speak highly enough of all members of the team.

I have a good size room - clean and light. The water supply in the W.C. is not always available and radiators are cold during cold weather. I need extra help with certain medical things. But the staff are excellent and always helpful, despite being busy. The management have made improvements since I arrived in Sept. I also have certain dietary needs, and the chef and staff have helped me a lot in this respect. Back door step needs improvement. Certain areas could do with improvement - i.e. on the ground floor area adjacent to the lift are W.C.'s used by residents the smell from which is not good. Other than that, a nice friendly home but needs odd improvements.

I am so happy with the care my mother is receiving now also with a lovely professional manager who’s always available as well as the carers I can’t fault this care home many thanks for your support and patience and hard work you give not just for my mum but all the residents.

I am delighted with my mother's excellent care at Loughton Hall. The Manager is always available for a chat with family. The carers are professional, friendly and helpful. Exceptionally clean, with wondereful wholesome food. Activities well catered for. I would recommend Loughton Hall to family who need to know their relative is safe and well cared for. Visiting is allowed from 9am without an appointment. There are no time limitations for visits. All mum's family, children, brothers, neices and nephews welcome. I cannot express my gratitude to the Manager enough!
