Overall Experience

Our mother was admitted to Loughton Hall Care Home temporarily to assess her and find a permanent care home. We have now done this and moved her closer to us. During the time Mum was there all the staff were very kind and helpful, the manager was always accessible and had time for us, resolving any issues required. The home could probably do with a little renovation but the care was very good. Thanks to the whole team for their hard work, it is a difficult job.

Reply from Ronna Gummer, Manager at Loughton Hall
Thank you so much for your kind words about the care given to your mum

Your mum was a pleasure to care for and will be missed. Management and care staff appreciate you taking the time to review Loughton Hall.

My mother is happy in the care home and always looks alert and well cared for when we visit. Staff are friendly and helpful, and I have been kept informed of any updates or changes when necessary. The new manager has been particularly helpful and supportive.

The home is bright and airy and clean. The staff have been warm and friendly. We have been so relieved to find a local home that is so good for my mother-in-law. Food is excellent, I have enjoyed lunch with resident's. Good and wholesome and Vienetta. The chef is so kind and friendly.

A resident at Loughton Hall had an 80th birthday party which my mother really enjoyed. There was a singer there who my mum said reminded her Anthony Newley.

He was very good.

What a disgusting care home, in ways you couldn’t even imagine.
I would not recommend anyone sending a relative to this care home, as I wouldn’t want them to be put through what my nan and the whole family were put through.

Unfortunately, I can’t go into detail, but this home should be shut down!

I would like the staff to be more pro-active in hydrating mother i.e ensuring she drinks water and walking and movement. Mums finger and toenails should be cut more frequently.

This home has a very caring atmosphere. The staff, without exception, are all very caring and treat the residents with dignity and respect.
It is good to see the residents enjoying the varied entertainments.
In good weather, the large enclosed garden can safely be enjoyed too.

Without doubt the feel good factor of this care home is due to the excellent staff.
