Godswell Park Care Home

I visited Godswell Park several times as a friend of mine is recovering from surgery there. The building, decor and facilities are excellent. I stayed for lunch and the food was delicious. But what left the biggest impression was the staff. I had a chance to talk to several of them and regardless of their role they all were extremely professional and friendly. They not only care for the residents, they pamper them. Nothing is too much trouble, and the smiles are genuine. Over the years I have visited several care homes in the UK and Europe and Godswell Park is the best one I have seen. Needless to say, my friend is enjoying is time there very much!

My father is staying at Godswell Park to recuperate after a period in hospital, and I genuinely believe it is the best care home in the UK. From the moment he arrived, I have felt confident that he is in the best hands.

The staff are incredibly caring, kind and attentive. They always have time to listen and talk, and nothing feels rushed. They come in with a smile and treat my father with warmth, dignity and respect. He regularly comments on how kind everyone is. Since arriving, he has improved mentally and physically, thanks in large part to their wonderful, encouraging care - and the excellent food!

Everything with the hospital was organised perfectly. The staff keep me informed, take time to answer questions and always make me feel welcome.

The home and rooms are beautiful, with lovely views. Most importantly, I can leave knowing my father is safe, well cared for and surrounded by people who genuinely care about him. That peace of mind is incredibly valuable to me.

Mum received the care and support she needed to regain her strength and return home. Happy to recommend.

My aunt has just left Godswell having enjoyed two weeks respite care. Her stay there was an unmitigated success. Without exception, the staff were extremely professional displaying high levels of care at all times. They were friendly and attentive. Also very polite. This ambience was led from the management down. On one occasion my aunt and I had the pleasure of attending a concert put on by a professional singer who was accompanied by a talented soprano and superb pianist. The Godswell Singers voiced their talents in between beautiful duets. What a treat! I was told there were activities organised every day to be enjoyed or not depending on your inclination. I was fortunate to be invited to lunch on numerous days. The restaurant overlooks the stunning gardens and due to the heat we were able to enjoy the patio doors being left open. The food was delicious with a wide variety of choice to suit the individual. I think I enjoyed my aunt's stay almost as much as she did!

The team at Godswell are amazing!! My mum went in for respite post surgery. She had a couple of unexpected hiccups following surgery and needed more care than we anticipated. The quality of care, nursing and overall kindness was superb. I cannot thank or rate the team highly enough.

I visited Godswell Park to see a friend.I had a walk around and the place is very well looked after, and the staff are very polite. The manager is wonderful and polite, and cares deeply about everything, even the smallest details. He ensures that the place is kept very well, and that all the residents are comfortable and happy.

My mother spent two weeks convalescence at Godswell Park. All of the staff (without exception) were outstanding. The approach itself is lovely - calming and well cared for. The food is also a highlight. When my mother left she said that she was pleased to know that Godswell was there for her to return to. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Godswell as a care home which genuinely does care for its residents and provides the highest level of service.

I came to visit a friend at Godswell park and I was greeted with a warm welcoming. All the care staff were extremely helpful and kind. Although I could tell they were all busy they still made me feel really important and ensured I had everything I needed for my visit. The manager was extremely kind and had time to chat to me after my visit. I would definitely recommend this care home to others.

I visited a family friend at Godswell Park Care Home today, what a lovely care home. All staff are friendly and seem happy to be working at Godswell Park. The food was amazing and the home is lovely and clean . What an amazing place.

This is a very well-managed nursing home, staffed by amazing people and serving excellent food. The gardens are flat, accessible and well-maintained. The care and support my mother-in-law received was exceptional, and as visitors, we were always made to feel welcome. Would definitely recommend Godswell Park to anyone looking for a care home.

We find our experience satisfactory; our visits are enjoyable; the carers and nurses are like friends. The living experience to our mind could not be more homely other than being in your own home. It is wonderful that we are always able to talk to someone about any concerns.

My review is for the care provided to my Father over the past 12 months he was a resident at the Care Home. The whole experience was fantastic and by encouragement, they managed to get my father from a semi-closed-down state following a hip operation to being an active member of the community. From my initial discussions with the team right through to his taking up residence to visiting provision of activities and the food... were all exemplary. In fact at a family meal in the restaurant with my father (resident) and myself and sons, my son asked how old you needed to be to be able to stay as he enjoyed the restaurant experience so much. Then at the time of passing the care and compassion given has been fantastic. A truly great experience throughout. Thank you.

I recently visited a friend (previous neighbour) now living at Godswell Park Care Home. What an incredible home! My friend's room was lovely with great views across the countryside. The home was spotless (maintenance team busy touching up paint work while I was there), staff could not do enough for my friend and I. We went for a walk in the gardens as the sun was shining and the grounds were beautiful and well kept. On our return to their room we were offered tea and cake from a large selection, apparently this is a daily occurrence. I was impressed at the kindness shown by all staff and my friend's needs being met promptly by care staff who were professional, caring and kind. Thank you to all the staff for taking good care of my friend and restoring my confidence in care homes, keep up the great work!

I have been visiting Godswell Park Care Home for some time now, and always welcomed by smiling and helpful staff. The home is always immaculate and well-managed. I have visited the restaurant several times, the food is amazing and warrants five stars. My friend is very well looked after and is very happy and settled.

I have been visiting a friend at Godswell Park regularly for the last eighteen months and I am occasionally invited to lunch in the restaurant. I cannot fault a single thing, it is simply amazing. My grandmother lived her last few years in a local nursing home and passed away in 2017. I very much regret not knowing about Godswell then!

Unconvinced personally, but she was asked to leave. Thankfully another nursing home can take all this in their stride. Good, caring staff, management, empathy and decision-making?

I cannot thank the care home enough for the outstanding care given. The rooms and all areas of the home are absolutely beautiful. Kindness from all the staff is outstanding. The food and the service is absolutely an amazing experience. Everything is clean to the highest standards. The management is always responsive and ready to go the extra mile. It's a 5-star hotel.

I recently visited a friend who is a resident at Godswell Park and had lunch in the beautiful dining room. Both my friend and other residents with whom I talked seemed extremely happy and well cared for. The lunch was delicious (five star!) and some of the vegetables and herbs came from their own kitchen garden. There was an extremely convivial atmosphere and I noticed that other residents also had visitors to lunch. The staff without exception and in all areas were extremely pleasant and helpful whilst also being respectful of my friend's needs and appeared to be very happy in their work. The whole building was exceptionally clean and fresh-smelling and the garden was extensive and beautifully maintained. My friend's bedroom was well-appointed and had a good view of the garden.
