Godswell Park Care Home

My mother has been in and out of respite care this year. It was only on our third occasion that we were lucky enough to find the fantastic care of Godswell Park. The difference they make and the effort they give are both outstanding. The staff are very welcoming and so personal and caring, the food was extraordinary, so much choice and served in a very dignified and social atmosphere, which we greatly appreciated. The surrounding village has lots to offer for those who need a little less care and enjoy some freedom. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We were welcomed by the staff so warmly and my mother enjoys the interaction with the staff and other residents immensely.

Fantastic home, warm, friendly and lovely caring staff. Helpful and welcoming manager. Pleasant place, everyone is made to feel welcome. Super menu all home cooked. Beautiful dining room. Clean and fresh. I would highly recommended it to anyone.

My mother stayed for a short period of respite. Godswell Park Care Home is a lovely place with beautiful grounds. I was very happy with the care and support she received whilst she was there and would not hesitate for her to return, if the need arises in the future.

Godswell is a beautiful care home with equally beautiful grounds which was particularly important for my aunt who likes to roam. All the staff are caring and my aunt was made to feel very welcome when she moved into the home. I cannot speak highly enough of everything that Godswell have done for my aunt. There have been restrictions on visiting but the management of Godswell have been helpful and always communicates decisions that have been made and, most importantly, why they have been made. As a relative, I always feel included which is most important.

Godswell Park Care Home is a truly wonderful place. From the moment I contacted Godswell I knew it was the right place for my mother who I felt could only be placed with people who really cared. It is clear that Godswell’s staff all display this spirit and all staff are courteous, respectful and knowledgeable about my mother’s needs. Nothing is too much trouble and they have done especially well during Covid managing obviously difficult rules keeping everyone safe. Godswell is unique. Well done and thank you.

I have lived here for few years and have found the care to be excellent. The food is delicious and very healthy. The entertainment is very varied and all-inclusive. We are encouraged to be independent when possible.

The care received by my husband was excellent and consistent. Very real care and kindness enabled him to cope with his problems. There was a feeling of being part of a family team and that he was one of their own. We could not have wished for better care.

Self-interest prevents me from giving a positive review of Godswell Park since I would desire to take permanent residence there should circumstances arise sometime in the near future - others may get in first. The setting of Godswell Park is so tranquil and spacious both inside and out. Community rooms are informal, securing their purpose which would be hard to better. Outside gardens are beautiful with many outstanding features, access is easy and staff are always on hand to give assistance with wheelchairs, zimmer frames etc. A small flock of sheep give an added interest. Catering is all in house and would be hard to beat anywhere.

Godswell Park is a friendly, happy place. For those unable to manage at home, this is an excellent alternative.

Godswell Park set in picturesque grounds is more like a five-star hotel than a care home. Peacefully set in the village of Bloxham. It is a perfect sanctuary in which to reside. My mother was recovering from a fall and was given first-class attention in a dignified and calm manner by wonderful staff led by a very caring management team. She was nursed back to health with her every need met, all the pressures of daily life were covered for her and she was treated like royalty. Exceptional menu and food quality. Very friendly capable staff and a delight to visit. Godswell is the best.

My aunt is planning her next stay but as she has said it would be for a mini holiday.

Having visited I can see why it is rated outstanding. Good to know that care of this standard can be achieved.

Following a successful respite stay in 2017, my mother has returned to Godswell for two further periods of respite care. She was extremely well cared for, and participated in numerous activities, including flower arranging and quizzes. She especially enjoyed a visit one afternoon from two Shetland ponies. My mother wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!

My mother spent 6 happy years at Godswell and such was the outstanding standard at Godswell that we always claimed it must be the best care home in the country. This was officially born out by the CQC inspection which uniquely gave Godswell its highest ever marks.

The combination of supportive care, comfortable surroundings, good food, lovely gardens, active voluntary activities but above all the very caring staff contribute to me thoroughly recommending Godswell Park.

The housekeeping and laundry staff should be proud - they keep the place spotless and I get regular positive feedback from my mother who has an eye for such details. The recent CQC accolades did not come as a surprise to my family, it's simply well-deserved recognition for the amazing team at Godswell.

I found the staff to be most helpful, friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. The room and facilities were exceptional including the gardens. I would definitely recommend this care home.
