Godswell Park Care Home

Godswell Park is a very comfortable, well-appointed and welcoming care home with modern facilities and an exceptional garden with wide, wheelchair friendly paths, a summer house, pergolas and plenty of areas to sit in the shade. Food is prepared on site by an excellent chef and residents can choose when and where to eat, either in the privacy of their rooms or in the restaurant. The most important feature of Godswell however, is the staff. I have rarely come across a team of people so dedicated to caring for the elderly. I was very impressed by the constant cheerfulness and good humour, the gentle care and thoughtfulness, the discreet courtesy and respect at all times, the attention to detail, the sincerity of the smiles and the general consideration shown to my mother in her final years. This is no doubt due to rigorous staff selection, management and continual in-house training. The milk of human kindness has been very much appreciated by me and my family.

During a week of post-operative care I enjoyed the restful surroundings and the attentions of a dedicated staff. The high standard of cuisine much appreciated.

It is set in beautiful surroundings as well, which we could just wander into and sit by a statue or under a pagoda. The dining room was also a place of care and amazing food. The chef was very good dealing with my aunt's particular dislikes. I was just astounded by how people cared and loved their jobs. This has to come from top people in management. Thank you Godswell.

It has a charming garden and both a doctor and dentist surgery 100 yards away. If you have to become old and frail it is as nice as anything can be.

My visits to Godswell Park was an enjoyable experience. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I found it clean and tidy and everyone seemed happy and relaxed in their comfortable surroundings. The food was absolutely delicious and I was very impressed by the overall atmosphere and ambience. I look forward to my next visit.

Godswell Park is an outstanding care home. They consider every small detail to be important which makes all the difference. My previous neighbour has been there for three months and has found a new lease of life! They have so many activities and interesting things for the residents to do which gives them a sense of independence. The staff could not be more attentive and caring. The restaurant is wonderful with great variety and a lovely atmosphere, it really does not fell like a care home, more like a very smart restaurant! A real home from home. I am delighted to see my neighbour so happy.

A very friendly Care Home - lovely gentle staff and friendly management always available to help with a smile - beautiful surroundings - Godswell is always very clean and the food is delicious! I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent food and range of activities. Superb facilities. More importantly level of care during my mother's final weeks was first class. The number of residents (I think 45) makes it feel as much as possible like a home.

I live abroad and visit my auntie only a few times a year. She has been at 'Godswell Park Care Home' for 2 and a half years and our whole family is delighted with all aspects of the home. We spent months looking for a suitable nursing home. (I wouldn't put my dog in the others we saw!) 'Godswell Park Care Home' is like a world class Bijoux hotel with outstanding service and staff that truly care. My aunt is a difficult person who likes to moan a lot. It is a testament to everyone working there that she struggles to find anything to complain about when I visit. I wish all care homes were like 'Godswell Park Care Home'.

The care and compassion afforded to my mother over more than 4 years has been exceptional. Everyone at Godswell is friendly, encouraging, thoughtful and courteous. The facilities and food can be compared to a very good hotel and there are always lots of activities to join in with but no pressure to do so if that wasn't what she wanted to do. There is little turnover of staff so they get to know the residents really well and this in turn allowed my mother to feel very safe and secure and build real friendships.
