Prestbury House Care Home gave my mother the respite care she needed after a fall had left her both fragile and lacking in confidence. Her drugs were regulated, appetising meals were regular and the social side gave Mum the support she needed to recover.

My wife was resident for an 8 day period on 'end of life' following a month in hospital suffering from severe pain due to gangrenous leg ulcers.
She was made most welcome and was treated with great kindness and compassion by everyone from doctor to cleaner.
Her stay, though short, was tranquil and
comfortable.
All staff were excellent, obliging and concerned that she and all our family gained the best possible results.
Her death, though inevitable, was treated with dignity and respect.

My mother was transferred to the home after several weeks in hospital, albeit she was only in the home for a week until end of life.
The staff were kind, helpful and very accommodating.
She was treated very well and had her dignity to the end in calm, pleasant surroundings.

Although only in the home for one week before passing away, the care my mother in law was given was excellent.
She was treated with respect and dignity at all times, even to the point of being visited by the chef in her room as she was bedridden, to find out if there was anything special he could cook
for her.

Our mother was a resident for only 7 weeks before her passing but she was treated with the utmost respect and dignity from start to finish. The home is like a four-star hotel with a calm ambience. Every member of staff was friendly, caring and helpful and I know Mum was extremely happy throughout her

Dad was in Prestbury House for 5 years due to having Parkinson's and dementia.
Whilst Dad was already a shadow of his former self, the staff would get to know him and his former life from relatives and friends and Dad himself.
His care and the interaction from staff were lovely to see.
He bonded
well with so many of them and not just the carers.
Front of house, maintenance, activity and household staff alike all showed and shared friendships with him - a very loving and caring home.

I came to the care home for 2 weeks in order to let my wife have a short holiday with friends in Tenerife. My health, in general, is good but I am disabled and unable to walk. I have managed to get to get around very well in my wheelchair and the staff have been so helpful.

My mum came in for 2 weeks for respite care because she was very poorly after an operation. During that time she has been absolutely transformed by the wonderful care she has received and is back to her old self. All the staff here are lovely, so caring and go out of their way to help. I was particularly
impressed by how quickly they all knew Mum's name. I cannot fault anything. The rooms are delightful, the food good, everything is very clean. Thank you!

My father passed away recently and I want to say that the staff at the home couldn't have been more supportive to myself and family at this time. They have always provided excellent care for my father but this continued up to and beyond my father's death. They took the time to explain everything and
listened to our questions and responded to our needs. I can't thank them enough for making my father's passing a supportive experience.

I have over 30 years of experience working in hospitals across the world and worked as a Registered General Nurse and midwife in India from 1990 to 1994. I have worked in care home management for over 15 years.


Working in various roles across different organisations, primarily within a care home, has given me a deep appreciation for creating a nurturing and joyful environment for our residents. I am most inspired by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, where each person feels valued, respected and celebrated for who they are and the journey they’ve lived. My goal is to bring warmth and happiness, to make our residents feel safe, well-cared for and uplifted. Being in a care home should feel like the beginning of a fulfilling chapter, where every resident’s wishes are honoured and their days are filled with joy, dignity and purpose.
