Certain members of staff were excellent. The use of agency staff however meant a lack of continuity with my mother's care.

My mum came in for 2 weeks for respite care because she was very poorly after an operation. During that time she has been absolutely transformed by the wonderful care she has received and is back to her old self. All the staff here are lovely, so caring and go out of their way to help. I was particularly impressed by how quickly they all knew Mum's name. I cannot fault anything. The rooms are delightful, the food good, everything is very clean. Thank you!

My father passed away recently and I want to say that the staff at the home couldn't have been more supportive to myself and family at this time. They have always provided excellent care for my father but this continued up to and beyond my father's death. They took the time to explain everything and listened to our questions and responded to our needs. I can't thank them enough for making my father's passing a supportive experience.

The home was spotless, the furniture, etc. was first class as was the decor.
All the carers seemed to really care for the residents and were really kind and helpful.
They also had time for relatives.

I always felt welcome.

The compassionate, high quality and professional care my father has received at the end of his life, has returned my faith in the health and social care sector. Too often, we only hear bad but its imperative that the message is sent out that my father and we as a family have witnessed true, committed and kind care at this very difficult time.

The care provided to my father has been exceptional. Every member of staff from the cleaners, chef, carers, nurses and management have gone above and beyond to make him comfortable, showing a level of kindness, compassion and care that has been astounding. I would recommend to any family who wants to ensure the very best care for their loved ones. Simply wonderful.

My aunt's just enjoyed a 3-week respite stay at Prestbury House - The team welcomed her warmly and really built up her confidence to start walking again and become more mobile. The staff looked after my Mum as a resident previously, hence it was an easy decision to suggest it to my aunt. The home and staff offer a modern, clean, friendly spirited-environment, making it a pleasure to visit. The rooms are en-suite and very nicely decorated. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others or use the home's services in the future.

Dad came to the home as a result of the cold snap at the beginning of the year.

The staff could not have been more helpful. He speaks highly of the staff and the outings on which he has been. Having made a number of friends he has now settled very well.

The large room that he has, enabled him to bring a number of "treasures" to make the room his. There is also ample space for his mobility scooter. There are often times that he does not take my phone calls as he is busy socialising!

As I live a long distance away, it is comforting to know that staff are easily contacted by phone and that any enquiries that I make are responded to quickly. Staff do contact me as well in order to discuss any support that Dad may require or to inform me of any developments.Thank you Prestbury House.

My mother came back here after suffering a severe stroke last year. She now has complex and challenging needs. The care and attention she receives on a daily basis are second to none. From admin through to nurses and carers the whole team strive to deliver the best care, constantly reviewing their actions and learning from feedback. The staff always make time to chat and engage with families and residents. I can see that my mother is loved and valued here and could not ask for more. Furthermore, I am always made to feel welcome at the home which itself is in a beautiful building, well maintained and looked after.

Hello, my name is Nishi, and I am the Home Manager here at Prestbury House.

I have over 30 years of experience working in hospitals across the world and worked as a Registered General Nurse and midwife in India from 1990 to 1994. I have worked in care home management for over 15 years.

Working in various roles across different organisations, primarily within a care home, has given me a deep appreciation for creating a nurturing and joyful environment for our residents. I am most inspired by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, where each person feels valued, respected and celebrated for who they are and the journey they’ve lived. My goal is to bring warmth and happiness, to make our residents feel safe, well-cared for and uplifted. Being in a care home should feel like the beginning of a fulfilling chapter, where every resident’s wishes are honoured and their days are filled with joy, dignity and purpose.
