Deciding that it was time to find a care home for my husband was the most difficult decision I have ever taken. All the staff at Lonsdale Mews are so friendly and caring and my husband's needs, likes and dislikes are taken into consideration at all times. He needs help with all aspects of daily life
and the carers' patience and good humour could not be bettered. The rooms and communal areas are beautifully decorated with many homely touches and are kept spotlessly clean. Of great importance to my husband is the quality of the meals, which are excellent! I am so pleased that my husband can choose whether to participate or not in the many activities each week. He is not much of a joiner but we have both enjoyed the musical afternoons. All in all, I do not believe that I could have found a more pleasant or caring environment for my lovely husband, who deserves the best. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Lonsdale Mews.

Like anyone involved in the care of a loved one with dementia it is difficult to find the right place as round-the-clock care becomes necessary. From the moment my aunt stepped into Longsdale Mews any doubts were erased. The care and attention to help her make this huge transition has been wonderful.
We were able to personalise her room before she moved in and on that first night when we sat on her bed with a lovely cup of tea and one wonderful member of staff in particular, who was just so kind, it absolutely felt the right decision. The absolute attention to detail in terms of the decor is just beautiful and the activities provided each day are incredible. Without exception the staff are just the most caring and positive people who appear to really love this incredibly important work they are doing. This is a place where despite the great challenges in life (there are many!) there still remains much living to enjoy!

Both Mum and Dad stayed for a couple of years, and we were very happy. The facility is excellent, the cleanliness and the quality of food are really good, but most of all, the staff were just so caring and sensitive. They were constantly trying to involve them in the numerous activities that were going
on. The garden was a popular location. Towards the end, the staff were brilliant and really helped my wife and me through those final stages for both Mum and Dad. If I have to end my days in a home, I hope it's as good as Longsdale.

Lonsdale Mews is like a luxury hotel for the aged.
It was the only choice for my mother, who has dementia. The staff were so welcoming and informative on our first visit and made the move very smooth. We love the homely atmosphere and the large en-suite rooms; you can bring your own furniture and pictures,
and it’s spotlessly clean. The food is all cooked from scratch, and the cafe in reception is super, with homemade cakes always on offer. The beautiful garden was also a massive plus. She moved into the home in April, only a month after my father died. It was a big wrench, but the staff were so kind and lovely and really did their best to settle her. She is now settled and happy, joining in with lots of the amazing entertainment put on by the fantastic, enthusiastic lifestyle team; there is something planned every morning and afternoon and trips out too. I can’t rate the staff too highly, so friendly, helpful and caring, it’s a great comfort to know she’s being so well looked after.

My mum moved into Lonsdale Mews in November 2023 and has settled very quickly. The staff are caring and friendly and encourage my mum to participate in the activities and social opportunities. She is happy, engaged and feels safe and cared for. The team welcomed Mum and supported her brilliantly with
the transition and shown her lots of kindness.
Her room is cosy, and the facilities are excellent. Mum loves the "special" bathroom, hairdressing and activities. The food is good, and the small lounge and dining areas encourage communication and social interaction. I am thrilled that she has settled in well and feels "at home". Thank you.

I can't believe that this is a care home and not a five-star hotel. The bedroom is spacious and well-equipped, and we are welcome to bring items from home as well. The corridors are wide, giving an airy and spacious feel, and I really like the fact that the home is divided into four units, each with
its own dining room. This makes meal times so much nicer than being in a large room. The staff are wonderful, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The meals are excellent, and there is always coffee/tea and biscuits available (if you can manage any more after all the meals!). My husband has always dreaded going into care but is quite content at Lonsdale - a tremendous load off my mind and that of the whole family.

Lonsdale Mews is an attractive building, modern and clean, with all the facilities you might expect from a first-rate home. It is professionally run by a very capable team.

My mother is a resident and when she entered the facility in the early summer 2023, she was depressed and uncooperative, even hostile towards both immediate family as well as carers. The whole Lonsdale Mews Team got involved at every level delivering advice, support and both medical as well as personal
care.
My wife and I live abroad and were only able to visit in December and the visible change is quite astounding! My mother is a completely different person, she is engaged, visibly happy and actively participates in the numerous daily and weekly activities, organised by the Lonsdale Mews team.
One is greeted and made to feel immediately welcome and at home and our visits were hugely positive. My wife and I were both left with the feeling that nothing is too much trouble and that all the staff are dedicated, happy, caring and truly love their jobs. ,
I will finish by simply saying - carry on the great work because what you are doing is exceptional in this day and age!

We viewed a number of homes on behalf of my uncle and had no hesitation in choosing Lonsdale Mews.
From the moment you enter Lonsdale Mews, there is a warm positive atmosphere around the home, and you immediately feel very welcome.
All aspects of the home are excellent, and it very much feels like
part of the local community.
The suites are very homely, and all the staff are very professional, knowledgeable and approachable.
We do not live locally and feel wholly assured that my uncle is receiving the best care and support possible.

Lonsdale is a truly beautiful place to call home for the people we love, and who need 24-hour care. It’s a spotlessly clean, modern home with amazing facilities and team. Each and every one of the team has made my mother-in-law feel so welcome, at home and cared for, and each visit we get updates on
her wellbeing and what she’s been up to – they are always doing something!
When you walk into Lonsdale, you immediately feel the positivity, care and professionalism with how everything is done – this was evident from my very first contact and visit with their customer relations manager. At Lonsdale, I know she is safe, stimulated and living the fullest of lives with daily activities, a fab hair salon, cinema and café, which is the hub of Lonsdale.
I sum this wonderful place up in one sentence, ‘it’s a place I could only dream of calling home and being cared for in my senior years’ – and that comes down to the love, care and efforts of the amazing people who are the Lonsdale team.

Both my parents have been residents at Lonsdale Mews.
We had to admit my mum and dad for respite very quickly on separate occasions. This was dealt with very promptly with great care and efficiency. I don’t know what we would have done if this hadn’t happened!
I can honestly say that all members
of staff seem very caring and professional. They take an interest in the well-being of the residents and do not just treat it as a job.
The coffee bar in reception is a definite hit. It’s a great place to take your loved one for a chat, coffee and cake (made fresh daily!), it really doesn’t feel like a care home!
Many activities take place around the home, and relatives are invited to join in.
Overall, this care home makes having your loved one cared for as pleasant as it can be in the circumstances!

5 stars all round. The ladies at Lonsdale are so genuinely caring and kind and helped my dad get his strength back to be able to go home. The home itself is also first-class, clean and very tidy. Thoroughly recommend!

We needed a care home to provide respite/convalescent care for Mum following hip replacement after a fall. At Lonsdale Mews, we were impressed by the friendliness and approachability of the staff, the relaxed atmosphere, and the obvious contentment of the residents. The care and attention Mum received
were exemplary, and the lifestyle team encouraged her to participate in a wide range of group activities, which she enjoyed very much. Inside the building, a lot of thought has gone into the layout, with plenty of areas for socialising, lounges, a cafe, a cinema, hairdressers, and a shop. Outside, there are wonderful landscaped gardens, which are a pleasure to walk around. Lonsdale is also dog-friendly, so residents still get to see their pets. Mum celebrated her 90th birthday whilst there, and the catering staff made a beautiful birthday cake to mark the occasion. She's home now, but when the time comes for full-time residential care, we'll have no hesitation in choosing Lonsdale Mews.

We would highly recommend Lonsdale Mews Care Home. My parents have received the very best of care from the moment they arrived. The staff were friendly, courteous and kind. My wife and I were confident that my parents were in the very best hands and that their individual care needs were assessed and
fully met by the whole caring team. There is a warm and homely atmosphere throughout the building. There are lots of events and outings which my mother really enjoyed during her stay at Lonsdale Mews. The management team kept me informed and sent photos of both my parents having a lovely time. Dad had a few outpatient hospital visits to attend while staying at Lonsdale. This was not a problem as transport to and from the hospital was arranged by the home and a carer escort provided too. On-site there is a hair dresser which mum really enjoyed. She had a hand massage on another occasion by one of the care staff. Thank you to everyone for looking after my beloved parents.

Everyone was so caring during my mother-in-law's respite stay and she commented that the staff always had a smile on their faces. Her room was very well equipped and she even had a patio space outside. She purchased a bird feeder and bird food from the care home shop and was delighted when she received
a daily visit from a robin! The activity program was excellent and something for all residents to participate in. My mother-in-law really enjoyed this part of the day and regularly participated. The food was good and varied and she enjoyed the intimacy of the small dining room. Overall the care and support from all the staff and management were excellent.

A wonderful home, beautifully furnished and clean with very caring knowledgeable staff. Staff have time for the service users and there is a full and varied activities programme, which residents can choose to join in with should they choose to. Staff are warm and friendly and always willing to help.
The cafe in the reception area forms a lovely warm and inviting area for residents and their visitors to meet in if they wish. Drinks and cakes are available throughout the day. An excellent provision.

After two months, my mother-in-law has settled in well at Lonsdale Mews. The staff in the residential aged care facility are all absolutely fabulous, they have assisted in the transition from independence to supported living with the utmost professionalism. It is a difficult time, not just for the residents
themselves, but for family members too; at all stages, we have been kept informed of Mum's concerns and behaviour. Activities of daily living become more difficult as time progresses. Obviously, it is important that the resident tries to do as much for themselves as possible, but when support is required it is never far away. I cannot fault the care and attention provided at Lonsdale Mews.
The place is spotless, the food is to restaurant standards; freshly prepared, varied, and served with panache; the chefs and catering staff are proud of their menus. The activities team engages residents with meaningful programmes. We can visit whenever we like, and bring the dogs, important!

Mum has been at Londsdale Mews since August 2023. From our first contact with managers and staff I have felt everyone has worked hard to make Mum feel welcome and comfortable. Staff immediately got to know and used her name. Mum herself was surprised when the handyperson addressed her by name. Mum was
quickly included in activities and outings. This has given Mum some happy times during a time of huge life changes. After some encouragement from the stylist she has resumed her lifetime routine of having a weekly salon appointment. The facilities are excellent but most importantly the care staff have shown Mum dignity and respect at all times. Care staff show gentle professionalism in looking after Mum. Staff have also supported myself and other family members during the difficult times when we have to say our goodbyes at the end of visits. Everyone has and continue to encourage Mum to become part of the Londsdale Mews community for which I and the family are very grateful.

We remain impressed with the home, which has a calm, homely atmosphere and excellent food! The staff are patient, kind, helpful and welcoming, always taking time to say hello.
Not always socially outgoing, Mum is encouraged to take part in the multitude of activities, which staff strive hard to organise,
including outings, speakers/visitors offering an interesting range of subjects, and shared social events for residents and relatives.
Mum loves the beautiful garden and walks her wheeler around it at every opportunity. Her ground-floor room has a small patio, and she can be outside as often as she likes. Occasional medical problems have been promptly dealt with and with great care.
Relatives are updated via weekly email bulletins, frequent postings of events on an active Facebook page, regular relative meetings and managers’ surgeries too. Lonsdale Mews has forged links with the local community and charities; we are very pleased to have made this choice for Mum.

My mother has been a resident at Lonsdale Mews for just over two years. Her room is on the ground floor with a door which gives her access to the beautiful garden. She remains very independent and does not always join in with the different activities as she is very happy being outside when the weather
is good. However, I am aware that the staff gently encourage her to become involved and she does enjoy the interesting weekly talks which are on a variety of topics. The staff are always very friendly and helpful both to my mother and to myself when I visit. My mother has had a few medical problems and the staff have always dealt with these promptly and appropriately and have been very caring towards my mother.
