other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

The team on my father's suite have been marvellous with his care after a fall, and were insistent on a revisit to A&E which picked up a nasty neck fracture missed on the initial A&E admission.

My dad lived away in Wales, we were finding it increasingly difficult to support him and he was beginning to feel isolated and alone. He made the brave decision to relocate closer to us, but that decision brought the added complexities of a long journey and medical transitions. However my decision on
where he should move to - was easy! The first home I looked at was Lonsdale Mews and that is where my search ended. It was luxurious, the residents were happy, and the staff were friendly. The environment felt relaxed, organised, and homely. The transition was seamless with the support and assistance of the Lonsdale Management team and his care for the last 2 months has been exceptional. He has had a few health problems since arriving but the team of carers are always extremely observant and quick to spot any changes and deal with local doctors/111 to deal with matters as they arise, whilst also keeping me fully updated. You get a real feeling of 'TEAM' amongst everyone at Lonsdale.

Both my father and mother were residents at Lonsdale Mews. At all times we found the care team and also the admin team, caring and considerate to my parents' needs. We cannot thank them enough for all they did for my parents whilst they were in their care.

Every time I have visited it’s been very pleasant staff are great. I was sitting with my mom while she was having lunch one day and the staff were so kind to offer me lunch as well. I said yes and it was really really nice. Great food I must say! Activities are all so fantastic.

By choosing Lonsdale Mews, I feel very confident that I have done the very best I possibly could for an old friend who needed to go into care due to dementia. I have been visiting since it first opened and everything about the place exudes quality. The accommodation and standards of care are excellent
- I continue to consider it the Ritz of local care homes. If I needed to go into care myself. I'd hope to go to Lonsdale! Thoroughly recommended.

Our family's experience of Lonsdale Mews is very positive.
There is excellent care, available 24/7, from staff - who we cannot praise too highly enough! All of the staff are so very friendly and attentive to each resident's every need.
The tastefully furnished, well decorated, and comfortable modern
accommodation. Which includes bedrooms, multiple lounges and dining areas, together with a cafe, cinema, shop, even a hairdressing salon - is always maintained clean, to a very high standard. The food is good and served in a restaurant-style setting. The building is surrounded by beautifully maintained landscaped gardens. There is a dedicated 'lifestyle team'. Who interact with and provide stimulation to all residents, through an ever-changing program of daily activities, informative talks, excursions to places of interest, etc. There is also excellent communication from staff to every resident and their families - through correspondence, regular meetings, and event invitations.

Always so helpful and supportive towards the residents and good feedback with the family members, they are all fantastic. Put on lots of entertainment for residents, which the family can join.
Support with the doctors and prescriptions is also brilliant.

My aunt and uncle had a week's respite here in 2021 and then had to be quickly placed at the beginning of June as my uncle's dementia and falls had accelerated. It was an easy decision to come back to Lonsdale Mews and everything was sorted within a few days. My uncle has dementia but my aunt doesn’t.
They would not be separated so both have moved into Lonsdale Mews together. They have settled really quickly which I was worried about as they’d been in their own home for 70 plus years. The staff are very attentive and the food is lovely (my aunt's words). The home is very clean. Gardens are lovely. The home has lots of activities.
They’ve been to the hair salon already. The atmosphere is really good and what stands out is that the residents and staff seem happy. The home has a really welcoming feeling as you enter the doors.
It’s also peace of mind for me knowing they are being cared for.

We are most impressed with Lonsdale Mews. Mum was reluctant to consider residential care, but her transition was made as smooth as possible by the professional and caring approach of the staff.
Mum’s room and the multiple social areas available are thoughtfully designed, clean, comfortable and stylish.
Mum particularly loves the garden. But it is the dedication of the staff that shines through. A marvellous lifestyle team ensures something is always going on to stimulate and entertain the residents. There is laughter. The food looks delicious - amazing birthday cakes! Individual care is expertly tailored, and when visiting, you see a genuine compassion for people in their twilight years.
Family communication is excellent, including weekly activity sheets, so we always know what’s going on. It is reassuring to know that Mum is in safe, kind hands, with 24 hour expert care and she no longer feels lonely and isolated. And best of all, we’ve seen the return of Mum’s twingle-eyed smile.

Mum has been at Lonsdale Mews for just over a year now, having moved from another local 'luxury' care home, which fell more than a little short on the care and compassion front! I very quickly learnt that not all luxury care homes are equal - and although Lonsdale has beautiful interiors, lots of comfortable
social spaces and a wonderful garden, it really is the dedication, compassion and kindness of the staff, whatever their role, that truly makes Lonsdale Mews a special place. I can't recommend them enough. They are well-staffed. Nothing is too much trouble. They have a brilliant lifestyle team who are always coming up with ideas to keep everyone busy and engaged, from baking and gardening to topical and interesting talks, book clubs, tea parties and zoo trips. I feel so relieved that my lovely mum, who is suffering from dementia, is in such safe and caring hands. A huge 'thank you' to all at Lonsdale!

We moved my mum, who has mixed dementia, to Lonsdale Mews Care Home from another care home a few weeks ago. She seems so much happier since she has been there. All of the staff are fantastic and go out of their way to be helpful. They are really supportive to us, as a family, as well as to my mum. I
feel so much better knowing that is well looked after and happier. Whenever I visit, all the staff are smiley and I hear a lot of laughter which is great. The staff all seem to work really well together as a team and everyone mucks in to make residents' experiences the best they could be.
I would highly recommend Lonsdale Mews. It is loads better than the last care home she was in.

Everything about Lonsdale Mews is perfect for my Mum and knowing she is safe, comfortable and being well cared for, by people who care is very important. There is always plenty of activities taking place, sometimes I feel I need to make an appointment in her busy days, which was important as she was

My mum has been a resident at Lonsdale Mews since January 2023. She is so happy here, the staff are so good and friendly and can’t do enough for her. The food and service are 5*, and every day the tables are set out just like a 5* restaurant, and entertainment and trips organised by the staff are just
brilliant I feel my mum is receiving the best level of care at Lonsdale and feel secure and very happy in that knowledge. This place is on another level and long may it last, as it’s nice seeing my mum so happy there.

Mum has been in Lonsdale Mews for just over a month. Her experience, and ours, has been extremely positive. She has settled in surprisingly quickly, due to being made welcome and dealt with professionally at all times. The care is truly excellent - friendly, expert, tailored to individual needs, and
genuinely caring at all times. The staff are committed and attentive, and kind and professional at all times, day or night. As relatives, we have been kept closely involved and communication has been consistently good. Access to additional support, when needed, has been quick and effective. There is lots going on, always, so it is a stimulating and active environment for the residents. Most of all, Mum feels safe and cared for, and is enjoying her time. It is a difficult transition to move into a care home, but at Lonsdale the excellent staff make it as smooth and easy as it could possibly be. We're really pleased and grateful for all the care and attention Mum is receiving.

My mother has now been a resident at Lonsdale Mews Care Home for several weeks. The home itself is very stylish but also clean, and comfortable and it is a pleasure to visit. All the staff have been so caring and kind, and have really made, not only my mum feel at home and safe, but have also given
myself and my sister, huge relief and security, knowing that mum is in such a lovely place. Moving mum out of her own home was very traumatic but we are so grateful for all the kindness shown and all the little details that you, at Lonsdale, put in, that make it a very special place, and we feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful place for our mum to spend her retiring years. My father went to Lonsdale Mews for a months trial stay in October 2022, having always lived at home in a nearby village. He was struggling with his independence but was wary of losing it. At 92 years of age, we were also of mixed emotions having never experienced a care home environment.
From the
first day, Dad was welcomed with open arms and grew to love his life and the people involved with Lonsdale Mews. He wanted for nothing and received 5-star care and round-the-clock attention.
His days were occupied with varied daily activities when we wanted, or quiet solitude when he preferred. The staff were professional and fun, always caring and their attention to his personal needs and ways went a long way to ensuring his stay at Lonsdale was a happy one.
Unfortunately, Dad passed peacefully away very recently, but thanks to the wonderful people of Lonsdale Mews they made Dad's last months the happiest of past years with his declining health.
We can't thank them enough.

My experience of Lonsdale Mews has been positive from the outset. The initial meeting was with the Manager, who was professional and answered all our questions. When my mum arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming, doing everything they could to help her settle in. As the weeks have gone by it’s
been really easy to chat and work with the brilliant Watermead Team and this has helped me be more relaxed about the whole process. Alongside my mum’s excellent care, very good food and lovely surroundings are the lifestyle team who work so hard to make sure my mum has a lot of activities and social interaction to join in with. Thanks to all at Lonsdale!

My mum has been living here for a month and absolutely loves it. It's lovely to see a smile on her face every day. The staff are caring and very friendly and attentive, and the home is very clean and of a very good standard. Mum feels like she's in a hotel with the added bonus of 24-hour care for her,
which puts her mind at rest and mine as well. It's great there are activities for my mum to participate in as well; she looks forward to every meal. Thank you, Lonsdale Mews.

Lonsdale Mews is, in my opinion, the Rolls Royce of care homes, with a community of staff who deliver the very best service and care. I use the term care home but it feels more like a hotel for the elderly, with beautifully decorated bedrooms, lounge areas, canteens, a bar, cinema room and so much more.
It is such a well-organised and run facility and that is a credit to everyone involved.
You guys are simply the best. Thank you so much, it is much appreciated. Please keep up the good work.
