My mother has been at Northcott for 2 1/2 years and in that time she has been cared for with patience and understanding and we will always be appreciative of the kindness and compassion shown especially in the last few weeks before her passing.

I've been a resident of Southland's since 23/5/2023, IAM disabled and bed bound currently 58 year old male, the whole of the staff are amazing, once a month your resident of the day in which they weigh you, when I first come to Southland's I was 8.5 stone, am currently weighing 13.7 stone, you are treated
as a person not as a patient, all the staff encouraged you to keep you motivated, moving, all the residents rooms are like hotel rooms and the staff encouraged you to peronised your room as much as you like, in the past year I've had health and personal problems in which the staff have helped me a lot, since being here I've never felt alone,

My Dad moved into Oaklands two weeks ago, we were a bit worried as to how he would get on in a home but he is very happy. The staff are all so lovely, not just with Dad but to my Mum and myself. He has played bingo, with a bit of guidance from the staff, for the 1st time in his life and was very happy
when he won. It was his birthday in the week and all the staff made such a fuss of him on his big day and even made him a lovely birthday cake and some of the staff came into his room to sing happy birthday to him.We were permitted to have our own private suprise party for him yesterday with all of his adult grandchildren and partners present. All of the staff are always smiling and always very accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. My dad is well looked after and happy which is such a relief for us all. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. Thank you so much to all of the staff for the care and support that you give to my dad.

Sadly my mum was only at Southlands for a few months before she died, however the love and care that was given to her during that time by all the staff was exemplary, especially in the last few days of her life. Their kindness also extended to myself during difficult circumstances, and I will be forever
grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a safe place for their loved ones who require care.

The home was very comfortable in my uncles final weeks. The staff were fantastic, regularly checking in on him and us as visitors, very attentive. My uncle had a lovely room with views of the garden, beautiful setting. The room was a good size with plenty of room for visitors.

Everywhere was very neat and tidy and smelled fresh and clean. Mum's room was very clean and tidy. The new portable indoor chair is much better than a wheelchair. We had pre-booked the 'Dining Room' and we valued the care that the carer working the morning had laid up the table beautifully for our lunch.
It all felt calm and all staff greeted us warmly as we walked past.

I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care he is receiving. He has settled so well.
The kind and caring staff keep us fully informed of all that is happening.

My husband is being well looked after in Northcott House Residential Care and Nursing Home, and all his needs are met. The staff are kind and helpful and available. He can do as he wishes and most days he is happy to be taken into the spacious lounge to take part in a quiz. His room is nice and comfortable
and I can visit any time, and join him for lunch frequently, which is home cooking. I have peace of mind, knowing that he is contented.

During my father's stay at Southlands Nursing Home he received excellent care and medical attention. The staff were always extremely friendly and attentive. They supported my father through his end of life care, allowing him to pass away pain free and with dignity for which we are so grateful.

What a lovely bunch of people at Northcott House. My mother wasn't with them for long, unfortunately, but she was treated with dignity and respect even after passing away. Everybody that I came across, from the manager to the cleaners, were all very friendly and helpful and after Mum passed away I was
treated with compassion and was not made to rush to empty the room. Can not fault Northcott and would love to say a big thank you to all the staff mum may not have been with you for long, but it was a comfort to know she was being cared for in her last days.

My mum settled into Acacia House really well. The staff are kind, caring and attentive, they spend time with Mum chatting, painting her nails and making her feel special. I am reassured that Mum is in very good hands and is receiving high-quality care. The home itself is welcoming, clean and bright
with a homely atmosphere.

My wife has been a resident at Northcott House for 19 months. In that time I have seen a number of changes in the running of the home. It is now a warm and comfortable home with very good staff and facilities. There had been an issue with the lunchtime food not being as hot as it should have been. Thanks
to the management team of three particular staff members, the dining room is now very well organised and the food is hot and plentiful. Well done to all concerned.

Mum has Alzheimer's and has been living at the home for 6 weeks. Every time I go in, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Mum seems very happy to be there, which is a relief to me after a horrendous 2 years of her living alone and mum not being able to cope but in denial of course! The food
always seems to be good too and mum has a lovely room over looking the garden.

I have nothing but respect, admiration and praise for the team at Southlands. During my father's last 7 months, he was cared for with compassion, dignity and a friendly smile. His condition caused him to react unfavourably and sometimes lash out at the staff - a sad demise of a friendly man - he was
always treated very well. He would refuse things often but the staff would always try, and if he wouldn't leave the room they would keep checking him & stay for a chat.
It was easy to see the connections the staff made with the residents, be it my Dad or the other residents.
Being a visitor I was always asked if I wanted tea/coffee, extra chairs & so on. I was always welcomed with a smile, and I was always amazed at no matter who answered the door to me, they not only knew me and who I was there to visit, but knew how he had been that day.
Perhaps the best praise comes from my daughter, a 5-year-old medical student who has seen a lot of care homes during her studies and said to me 'this is a good one'.
