Review of

Hillbrow

from Leigh P (Power of Attorney of Resident) published on 5 December 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My experience of visiting Hillbrow has been nothing but one of pleasure. It's a smalI old house, but once inside it has a friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I couldn't wish for a better care home to look after a family member. The Manager is efficient and caring and her team are exceptional.
And whatever you ask for it is done with profound efficiency. The people in their care get nothing but the best care and support they could wish for. And are all treated with the dignity they deserve.
The premises are clean and well looked after. And the staff encourage trips out for their residents.
As for food and drink, I can only say they cater for all their residents needs. And there are no complaints. The staff go over and beyond their duty. Overall, all I can say is that I have seen a lot of care homes but non of which have shown the home from home welcoming atmosphere that this one does. Our thanks goes out to the kind caring people that run this home.

My niece has spent seventeen years with Saxon Lodge Care Home until her death in January 2023. The care and dedication from all the staff has been exceptional, she has been looked after as their own, not just as carers but family. I cannot recommend them enough for their commitment and care shown to
my niece.

It was marvellous to read the glowing endorsement of Pages Orchard resulting from the recent inspection as reported in the local paper. All the staff must be really proud of their achievement and as parents, we can rest assured that our daughter is well cared for.

I have been here at Hamilton Lodge for about 5 years. I am happy here, the staff are nice here. I go out with them as much as possible, like going out on day trips with them and I like the home. The garden is very nice, we like to sit in the garden and I like my room. It is nice and big with bathroom
in it with shower, bath and basin in it as well. I like everyone I live with as well.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My brother is receiving excellent care at Pembroke Lodge, the staff have been very patient with him and have encouraged him to take part in a few regular activities, i.e. gardening at a farm every Monday.
He has also been out on a few day trips, they also try to encourage him to interact with the other
residents.
The service has been excellent, I know my brother feels safe and secure there.

Carville Road

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
It is now nearly 18 months since by Brother went into Hadrian Court and I commented on the fabulous care he was receiving. At the time it was all relatively new to us as a family as this was the first time we had experienced anything like this.
I have to applaud this Home and every one of the staff
! Yes there has been some changes in staff as with all service providers, we are still receiving "First Class" service from them. My Brothers needs are first and foremost to all the staff and we see it first hand as regular visitors how fantastic ALL residents are treated. They go above and beyond to achieve their needs which in some cases is extremely stressful and demanding and they need applauding.
It is not by choice my brother is in the home however it was OUR choice to choose Hadrian Court after visiting and being very satisfied at the care and attitude of all the staff and it is in my opinion a fantastic feeling to be able to write this review 18 months on and still have the same feeling of content I had at the beginning.
As the "family" we are always welcomed and involved in every step of the way which is so comforting.
Well done to the Management in Hadrian "You got it Right" with a fantastic team of staff and from my brothers wife and myself as the sister THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!
