Drovers House

from R D (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 November 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Drovers has recently had a new manager he's made a real difference, the home seems more welcoming and jolly since he took over.
The whole team are very caring and listen carefully to any issues and act promptly to resolve things.
One of the carers has recently been standing in as a receptionist and
has done a great job, the team at Drovers really seem to pull together when they need to. There's a great sense of camaraderie between the staff, many of whom have been there many years, this makes for a much nicer atmosphere for my mum, who has dementia, to live in.

Max and I were thrilled to be upgraded to a larger flat together with small patio on the lower floor of Castle Brook. We were helped in the move by TSI together with use of a trolley. The whole process took about 3 trolley loads to transfer all of 'our worldly goods' without a moan or a groan from
TSI, finishing early afternoon, 29 September. When we arrived I was amazed TSI had set out the flat - designer style! I told her she would make a good designer! I have had interest in art & design throughout my life. She is a lovely expressive young woman, full of joy & willing member. She also has a pretty singing voice. Many thanks to all for their help.

My first visit was very warm and friendly, it was home from home. The staff are very caring at all times and you can hear laughing with both carers and residents. This is more than a hotel, not a home. Also the safety is great and my time spent there is time out for me. I would stay all day if I could.
They all from manager down to the staff are a great team.

My mum moved into AttleBorough Grange Care Home in August 2025. I was very apprehensive how my mum would like it.
I can honestly say my mum has never looked so well. The staff are excellent and treat residents with dignity and respect. Communication through the app has been excellent.
I am truly
grateful for the support the home has given our family. I would like to say what wonderful care Teresa has given my mum and also with every single member of staff these are a credit to the home.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I was caring for my elderly aunt whose needs gradually increased and I sadly was unable to continue with caring for her myself due to increasing pressures at my home. My aunt was diagnosed with Alzheimer's so I needed to find her a safe place where she could be properly cared for.
Thank goodness I
found Drayton Court.
The accommodation is very warm and welcoming as are the staff from admin to managers to carers and catering. Nothing has been too much trouble for anyone. My aunt could not be in better hands. She is happy and content. Enjoying activities and laughing again, which is something she hadn't done for some time before moving here.
Can't recommend this home enough.

Four Ways

from Liz W (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 October 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
When my mum moved to Four Ways for respite care I was amazed by how quickly she settled in. Living alone at home, she'd become isolated and withdrawn, eating very little and refusing to accept help from agency carers. Within a few days of her respite stay I could already see a big change. She was taking
part in activities, chatting to staff and residents, and eating really well.
I'm sure that this transformation is down to the fantastic team at Four Ways. Everyone is so kind and friendly, creating a happy and relaxed atmosphere that feels like a home from home. When I visited last week there were people in all of the lovely spaces near reception - sitting in the cafe, playing dominoes in the conservatory, taking a stroll around the garden.
I feel very fortunate that Four Ways had a room available for my mum. I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be. Heartfelt thanks to you all for looking after her so well - and for the kindness you've shown us both.

My mum stayed at Sycamores for a week of respite care recently. We were greeted with a warm welcome when we arrived and made to feel at home. The staff were very friendly and quick to provide everything in mum's room that was needed for her stay ie alarm mat, call buzzer and TV. They also made us a
cup of tea to have in her room. I was invited to stay and have lunch with her and we both enjoyed the food and ate every bit! I left mum feeling very reassured that she would be well taken care of and was able to enjoy my break away without worry. They have a portal called Relatives Gateway which logs all the care that is received during the stay. I found this very reassuring to check in and see how she was doing. Sycamores is a very good and friendly care home I would recommend.

My cousin has been at Newlands Care home for around 3 years and continues to go from strength to strength. The staff are always professional, offering excellent care with empathy and dignity at all times.
She engages in a variety of activities both within the care home and on external visits.
During
a recent spell in hospital the staff ensured that they continued to support the family and our cousin always acting in her best interest until thankfully she was able to return back to the care home.
The place is always, bright welcoming and it's a pleasure to visit.
