My review actually covers early 2024 to date whilst both my parents were living at Beeston Rise. During the time they were there the care they received was excellent from both a medical and emotional standpoint. They were both treated with respect at all times. The caring attitude the staff show extends to family as well during some difficult times.
they were both happy during the time they spent living there and as a family we thank them for the care given

Following a disastrous respite week at another care home in the area last October the whole family were nervous about choosing another one but being a 24/7 carer for my husband with dementia impacting on my health I needed to plan a break. Initially we started with day care once a week at T.B.C.Home. The staff are amazing and all care is person centred. Many activities, cheerful environment throughout (even a sports bar) yet quiet spaces for those who choose not to socialise at any given time. My husband has made friends and just finished a successful week's respite. He came home happy and almost rejuvenated by his stay. The day care continues and plans for another respite stay are in place (2 weeks).
What makes T.B.C.H. special is not just the great facilities and its location but the whole team from Manager downwards. They all care about the people in their charge and try to accommodate everyone's needs. They treat their residents as their family! Thank you TBCH 5 stars from us.

My mother came for a 4 day visit then 4 weeks as a mixture of respite and a trial for the future. From the very first visit it was clear that the team put the residents care at the heart of everything they do. I would highly recommend Gateford Lodge to other families. Not only are the rooms and decor well designed but the meals, activities and conversation were all perfect for my mother. A big thank you to all the team.

I just wanted to say how grateful we are for the care our dad received at Trent Bridge. From the start, the staff were kind and supportive at such a difficult time in our lives, and it was clear they really do care about the residents after seeing dad settle in over the past 2 months. It gave us a lot of reassurance knowing he was being looked after so well. Luke, Nicky and the team are always willing to help if we have any questions and are eager to listen for improvements where needed. The home itself is lovely, and little things like the terrace overlooking Trent Bridge make it feel that bit more special. Dad loves the cricket so it's perfect for him. Most importantly, our dad is treated with dignity and respect, which meant a lot to us.
We're very thankful to all the staff for everything they do.

My father has never experienced being in a Care Home before and he has thoroughly enjoyed his short term stay (2 weeks respite after being in hospital) Excellent staff, rooms and facilities
Only thing that could be improved would be ensuring that my father was up and dressed to allow him to have his breakfast at a reasonable time. On occassions breakfast was late and only an hour before lunch.

My mother has been in Trent Bridge for over a year and the carers, behind the scenes team and especially the management team continue to give excellent service. Overall Experience
This new residential care home is promising a bright future for Worksop people. Its decor, layout, lovely spacious rooms (with en suites) and approachability of caring staff is what led to its choice for my mother. New activities for residents to get involved with are being added each month, such as inter-generational music with toddler/baby sessions, dog therapy, crafts, special events on the calendar (Valentines Day afternoon tea, Mother's Day lunch with families) and there will be more to come. Family and friends are welcomed whenever they choose to visit. Living further away it is good to know that my mother is in a safe place where she can rely on staff to support her in a friendly atmosphere and my siblings living nearby love going there. Having taken part in a couple of the activities when visiting and chatting to other residents I would be volunteering if I lived closer!

Overall Experience
Mum, 94, moved into Gateford Lodge mid December. I'd made a visit beforehand to see what facilities they offered and if it would be suitable for Mum's needs. It's proven to be a perfect choice. The home is 5* and so are the staff. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. Mum gets regular visits from a District Nurse arranged by the home and her medication is given promptly each day. She's recently had an optician visit to choose new specs. The home is beautifully decorated with spacious ensuite bedrooms with TV. There're activities/entertainment most days, a fab dining room serving great food, a hair salon with nail bar, TV lounge or a quieter garden room to chill out.
Residents can socialise and still feel independent and most importantly, secure. Thank you to all staff. I highly recommend Gateford Lodge Care Home.

Overall Experience
This is a new, purpose built Carehome and the environment is bright and very inviting. It feels like stepping into a luxury hotel. Since moving to Gateford Lodge my mother has settled in very nicely and has been eating well and clearly enjoying her meals, which are freshly cooked on the premises. These are served in a beautifully decorated dining room with tablecloths and napkins and even a glass of wine is offered. The staff at Gateford lodge are so caring and give the residents their undivided attention. The place is immaculate and the surroundings are beautiful. There is a hair salon, activities room , a tv lounge and a quiet area. I am looking forward to taking my mother out into the garden in the warmer months.
I have visited a lot of Carehomes in the local area and in my opinion Gateford Lodge is superior in every way. This is how all care homes should be.

Absolutely fantastic place. From the beginning my mum was assessed, excellent and very professional. The care home as absolutely stunning place with more and more space and room very pleasant, peaceful, and comfortable. Very clean and tidy. The care is to the best standard my mum is getting every thing she needs and more. She is treated with respect and dignity. The rooms are excellent in every way. The Staff are very professional very caring and well trained. They all seem very happy in there work, it is a big thing for the staff to be happy in carework. Food is very nice with plenty of choice. Activities are always a great thing to have and there is alot to choose from. The Management and reception are all willing to help and assist in anything you need and make it a very safe secure place.
There isn't a cheep way of having your loved ones looked after but moving my mum from a cheeper place was an excellent choice. For my mum to have the best there is. VALUE FOR MONEY. 10/10.

Review of Gateford Lodge Care Home from W B (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 March 2026 Submitted via Website•
Overall Experience
The team at Gateford Lodge have been so helpful and welcoming, right from the initial phone call enquiry. Mum, who is 92 and has dementia, had started having falls, and although she was having care at home, she had socially withdrawn and was beginning to physically and mentally struggle. It was clear that mum was no longer safe at home, but she was so fearful and resistant to even the thought of going into a care home. It was a difficult conversation but with some persuasion my sister and I took her along for a taster day. We all instantly loved everything about the place. The next week mum agreed to 4 weeks' respite care which has just come to an end. Now she has asked to stay on as a permanent resident; she is happy and says she doesn't want to be anywhere else. The transformation in mum has been amazing and this is all thanks to the wonderful team. She is visibly brighter and healthier and has the confidence to engage and make new friends. She is very happy!!
