My mother came for a 4 day visit then 4 weeks as a mixture of respite and a trial for the future. From the very first visit it was clear that the team put the residents care at the heart of everything they do. I would highly recommend Gateford Lodge to other families. Not only are the rooms and decor
well designed but the meals, activities and conversation were all perfect for my mother. A big thank you to all the team.

I just wanted to say how grateful we are for the care our dad received at Trent Bridge.
From the start, the staff were kind and supportive at such a difficult time in our lives, and it was clear they really do care about the residents after seeing dad settle in over the past 2 months. It gave us a
lot of reassurance knowing he was being looked after so well.
Luke, Nicky and the team are always willing to help if we have any questions and are eager to listen for improvements where needed.
The home itself is lovely, and little things like the terrace overlooking Trent Bridge make it feel that bit more special. Dad loves the cricket so it's perfect for him.
Most importantly, our dad is treated with dignity and respect, which meant a lot to us.
We're very thankful to all the staff for everything they do.
Reply from Jenny Bellwood, Marketing Director at Trent BridgeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We're truly grateful for your kind words and are so pleased to hear that your father has settled in well over the past couple of months. It means a great deal to know that our team has been able to provide reassurance, support, and compassionate care during this time. Luke, Nicky, and the wider team will be delighted to hear your feedback. We're proud of their dedication to listening, supporting families, and always striving to improve the experience for our residents. It's wonderful to hear that your father is enjoying the home, especially the terrace and its view, particularly fitting for a cricket fan! Most importantly, we're so pleased that he feels treated with dignity and respect, as this is at the heart of everything we do. Thank you again for your kind words and for trusting us with your father's care. It's a privilege to support him and your family

Gateford Lodge care home has provided excellent care and respite services for both my parents. They took care of all their tablets and medical needs and provided a safe secure clean happy environment to allow my parents to get their meds and health to a balanced level.

My father has never experienced being in a Care Home before and he has thoroughly enjoyed his short term stay (2 weeks respite after being in hospital)
Excellent staff, rooms and facilities
Only thing that could be improved would be ensuring that my father was up and dressed to allow him to have
his breakfast at a reasonable time. On occassions breakfast was late and only an hour before lunch.
Reply from Jenny Bellwood, Marketing Director at Beeston RiseThank you for taking the time to share your review. We're delighted to hear that your father enjoyed his first experience in a care home and that his two-week respite stay following his hospital discharge was such a positive one. It's especially pleasing to know that you found our staff, rooms, and facilities to be excellent. We note your comment that on some occasions breakfast was later than expected. Ensuring residents are up, dressed, and able to enjoy their meals at a comfortable and appropriate time is very important to us, and we will feed this back to the team. Thank you again for your kind words. We hope to welcome your father back in the future should you need our support again.

This new residential care home is promising a bright future for Worksop people. Its decor, layout, lovely spacious rooms (with en suites) and approachability of caring staff is what led to its choice for my mother. New activities for residents to get involved with are being added each month, such
as inter-generational music with toddler/baby sessions, dog therapy, crafts, special events on the calendar (Valentines Day afternoon tea, Mother's Day lunch with families) and there will be more to come. Family and friends are welcomed whenever they choose to visit. Living further away it is good to know that my mother is in a safe place where she can rely on staff to support her in a friendly atmosphere and my siblings living nearby love going there. Having taken part in a couple of the activities when visiting and chatting to other residents I would be volunteering if I lived closer!

Mum, 94, moved into Gateford Lodge mid December. I'd made a visit beforehand to see what facilities they offered and if it would be suitable for Mum's needs. It's proven to be a perfect choice.
The home is 5* and so are the staff. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. Mum gets regular visits
from a District Nurse arranged by the home and her medication is given promptly each day. She's recently had an optician visit to choose new specs.
The home is beautifully decorated with spacious ensuite bedrooms with TV. There're activities/entertainment most days, a fab dining room serving great food, a hair salon with nail bar, TV lounge or a quieter garden room to chill out.
Residents can socialise and still feel independent and most importantly, secure. Thank you to all staff. I highly recommend Gateford Lodge Care Home.

This is a new, purpose built Carehome and the environment is bright and very inviting. It feels like stepping into a luxury hotel.
Since moving to Gateford Lodge my mother has settled in very nicely and has been eating well and clearly enjoying her meals, which are freshly cooked on the premises.
These are served in a beautifully decorated dining room with tablecloths and napkins and even a glass of wine is offered.
The staff at Gateford lodge are so caring and give the residents their undivided attention.
The place is immaculate and the surroundings are beautiful. There is a hair salon, activities room , a tv lounge and a quiet area. I am looking forward to taking my mother out into the garden in the warmer months.
I have visited a lot of Carehomes in the local area and in my opinion Gateford Lodge is superior in every way. This is how all care homes should be.

The team at Gateford Lodge have been so helpful and welcoming, right from the initial phone call enquiry. Mum, who is 92 and has dementia, had started having falls, and although she was having care at home, she had socially withdrawn and was beginning to physically and mentally struggle. It was clear
that mum was no longer safe at home, but she was so fearful and resistant to even the thought of going into a care home. It was a difficult conversation but with some persuasion my sister and I took her along for a taster day. We all instantly loved everything about the place. The next week mum agreed to 4 weeks' respite care which has just come to an end. Now she has asked to stay on as a permanent resident; she is happy and says she doesn't want to be anywhere else. The transformation in mum has been amazing and this is all thanks to the wonderful team. She is visibly brighter and healthier and has the confidence to engage and make new friends. She is very happy!!

Seeing residents regain their confidence and build friendships is exactly what we strive for every day, so your kind words truly mean a lot to us. Can I thank all the staff at Beeston Rise Care Home. We (family) are astounded by how calm, relaxed, indeed happy she is after 24 hours in there. Mum (7 years' ago diagnosed with Alzheimer's) went in there agitated and confused, having previously refused to even talk of going into a care home. We felt
terrible moving her into a care home, but this has dissipated given how she has settled in. Nothing else to say but 'astounding Care'. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

Yesterday was the Home Family Christmas Meal. From beginning to end, the whole staff team went over and beyond to make this a very special and memorable day. Each table was attractively laid with printed place names, festive menus etc. The food was excellent, plentiful and beautifully presented. The
atmosphere throughout he day felt warm, welcoming and inclusive - staff made a point of particularly welcoming newer residents into the community.
As well as serving so many people, staff found the time to chat to residents and relatives. The quality of relationships within the home and the many acts of caring and kindness shown by staff towards residents mark out Trent Bridge Care Home as a special place.
