Care Homes Owned by Tanglewood Care Homes in Lincolnshire

Visiting Tanglewood three days a week to visit my wife I am generally impressed with the efficiency of the staff in dealing with her dementia. They always seem smiling and happy, irrespectively of my wife's attitudes. All the meals I have had at Tanglewood have been more then adequate. The entertainment staff treat the residents well and have various activities to save people from being bored. All in all I do not think my wife could be looked after any better and the only problem, not to do with Tanglewood is a 56 mile round journey from my home to visit her.

More thought required.

Mum has had an illness, where she was so poorly for a week and paramedics, doctors etc all called in. The after care by staff was superb and I thank all staff so much for their care and attention given to mum.

My father in law was admitted to Richard House from hospital following a terminal diagnosis. Within the first week they couldn't do enough and even asked him to take part in a video on his second day. This was the only time excellent care was given. There was never enough staff to support him fully, his pain meds were not administered correctly, his RESPECT form wasn't updated after discussing it 3 times which almost resulted in him being sent back to hospital which was against his wishes. Then the manager attempted to block a move to a new care home. We complained and requested that the video was not used as it was not a true reflection of the home. The care he received was way below par. He passed a few months ago and it was distressing to see that they had used the video to promote this home when they did not give him the appropriate end of life care

10/10 Excellent care home. All staff very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. Very clean, food very good.

My aunt has been a resident just over a year, and she is very happy at Holbeach Meadows. The staff are all very friendly and professional, and have built up a great relationship with her. They offer and encourage her with personal care, and they are always willing to have a chat with her, which is very important to Ann. Staff are always welcoming when i visit, and the management team are very responsive and proactive. I get regular updates, and im kept informed regarding any health needs and appointments. The activities programme is fantastic for all and the events are so well planned and families are always welcome and included.

The care , friendship and love that my mum has received by every member of the Tanglewood team has been wonderful. My mum has been so well looked after , I am so grateful to everyone there. The help from Alice, the manager has been without doubt 100%. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and my mums dementia difficulties have always been addressed with kindness and consideration . As visitors we have always been welcomed warmly, and mums condition always discussed with us. Tanglewood is always lovely and clean , great food and a friendly atmosphere

Overall we were very pleased wtih the care mum received. Just prior to moving to the home mum's health, weight & mental state were declining (in the first home she was in). The improvement in the first week at Cloverleaf was stiking as she put on weight, was happy & managed to walk again (with frame) for the first time since her hip operation - something we had started to think was impossible. This I think was down to the attentiveness & friendliness of the staff, who kept a close eye on her & fully attended to her needs.

Walked into a very positive happy atmosphere from all staff and residents. Visiting my family who is totally bedridden. Very busy staff - always popping in to see that residents are ok. Activities taylored to clients needs. Communication at all times - very positive. Constant chatter with staff and residents. Needs met on every angle. Would recommend.

Beautiful place, always a lovely welcome. I have met lots of staff and have had good experiences with every one of them. They are a great team.

The staff and management were excellent. Couldn't do enough.

Staff are great with mum, giving her PC, drinks, friendly towards her. Room is clean and washing of clothes great. Mums has pureed food and always to a good standard. Receptionist could smile and greet visitors! Carers are great.

It can be very daunting, putting parents into care it's a complete new world for everyone. After initial teething problems that were expected, my parents are now settling. The help from all the staff has been second to none. From the reception to the manager. The care shown, even from the gardener and the hairdresser is first class. They are all there to help and do! My parents are eating very well and the activities are available daily. It's a first class cruise ship on the ground!

I think he is not always offered enough to drink, but I think he does enjoy his meals.

My daughter and I attended activities in March and April, it was lovely to see happy residents and staff joining in as well as visitors, makes all the difference having activities on, as residents are bored if nothing on. The lady doing activities is brilliant with the residents, she is so bubbly and residents love her. Especially as last year, no activities and residents looked miserable, sitting about with nothing to do all day. R.H is a lovely place, just a shame staff shortages put lots of pressure on staff.

Holbeach Meadows is the best for my husband. His care is excellent, and nothing seems too much trouble. His room always looks like a hotel room - clean, tidy, fresh bedding, etc. Since Mick has been here, I can sleep at night and never worry. Thank you to all for the excellent care.

We have found the care home to be a great place for our dad to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and have kept us updated regarding his welfare. He is happy to be around other people, even if he is not joining in the activities. His room is kept clean and tidy and feels homely.

Having been in various homes with elderly relations, Avocet House is the best one ever. From walking in the door the home is full of smiles and happiness. The staff are amazing which reflects on the residents who are also full of smiles. They have an agenda of activities every week. Most of them are having fun times, but they also have discussions of their memories, which are wonderful to listen to. Visitors are always encouraged to join in, offered a drink and made welcome. My husband and I are always happy to go and never rush to come away. It is absolutely wonderfully amazing.

Was very pleased with how light/airy/clean Toray Pines was on my initial visit to see if the home was suitable. Staff where really friendly and the home has a nice warm feeling to it. Everything was very last minute and they were super accomdating. The initial vist was a Saturday and we had my friend moved in on the following Tuesday. 3 months on, I am very very pleased with the quality of care - even with their complex needs due to Huntington's Disease. Added bonus are the social aspect of the Home.THey've been bowling, had dogs & miniatire horses vist, been taken out to the cinema amongst other things. A great comunity feel to the home.

As a regular visitor to Toray Pines, I am always impresed by the high standard of care provided to my relatve. The atmosphere of the home is always warm and welcoming. The home is alwys clean and well maintaned.
