The staff and reception are very accommodating when I was in a difficult situation. The care and consideration have helped to have my wife back at home. This was by encouraging her to get back on her feet after recovering from a chest infection that debilitated her.

My mum arrived on her first day in the home apprehensive and frightened. The staff were all amazing, we were met by the manager and deputy, who showed us to mum's room - we were introduced to the nurses, carers, cleaners and activities coordinator. They all came to the room to meet Mum and put her at
ease. A special mention to the maintenance man, who put Mum's pictures up he was kind and considerate, and Mum said he was lovely.

June has passed very quickly for me, which is an indication of a happy and fulfilling experience.
The activities team have been particularly busy this month with special celebrations in addition to the usual routines.
For me, the Glastonbury focus was lovely. Being a West Countryman, I could visualise
the rising from the levels, keeping an eye on the masses beneath. Our own celebration was led by a singer who had a great rapport with the group, had a good voice, and chose an excellent and thoughtful programme. Thanks to all those involved. WOW! Ice cream!
I cannot praise the staff and management enough in their efforts to make my stay here as happy as possible. I find everyone from care, housekeeping and catering first class and the chef is imaginative and professional, and I enjoy the food and can always find an acceptable choice from the daily menu.
The room is always neat, tidy and clean, as are the home and the environs.
Thank you everyone.

I have been here nearly two years. I am very happy here. All the staff are kind and friendly. I am very well looked after. I enjoy the activities which are provided every week. The home is always clean and tidy. I had a fall recently, and within seconds, 2/3 members of staff came to help me.

This morning, Dad's transition reached an extraordinary milestone. After several weeks of settling in, he woke up later than usual but greeted everyone with a golden smile that seemed to brighten the entire room. His relaxed demeanour and peaceful energy spoke volumes about his newfound comfort in this
environment, and the sight of his happiness moved me deeply. It was not just a smile - it was a declaration that he feels at ease, surrounded by kindness and genuine care. Such a transformation fills the heart with gratitude; seeing Dad radiate joy and contentment reassures me that this step wa not only right but a blessing. Today, his happiness became a beacon of hope, illuminating the immense power of acceptance and the beauty of embracing change.

Meadows Park Care Home

from S R (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5

Over the last year when visiting my relatives room has been showing signs of lack of cleaning, dirty cups left on the side all weekend. No towels or face cloths in the bathroom, a basket of soiled laundry in the bathroom all weekend. The room floor was dirty, doors hanging off the furniture and the
room smelling.
The home is registered for dementia however they do not seem to provide prompting to my relative to wash. It is distressing to see my relative like this as when more able this is now how they would like to be. To smell and clearly have not been supported to wash/shower. They are were dirty unshaven, nails were dirty and uncared for.
I have observed that residents no longer had a tea trolly either am or pm over the period of my visit only those well and in the lounge received a drink. My relative is palliative care and sleeps a lot and received no drink.
As absent relatives we rely on the home to provide care and support.

Review of

Hunter's Creek Nursing Home

from Jean S (Wife of Resident) published on 11 June 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My husband was a resident in Hunters Creek and I have to say the care he received went way beyond my expectations. Everyone from the front desk and cleaners to the nursing staff were a credit to the manager. Staff always knew where he was or had been, phone calls kept me updated with any problems
and most importantly he was always happy. From the day we visited to choose a place for him, there was never any doubt that this was the best choice of others visited. Many thanks to all who cared for him. 5 stars are not enough.
