I am extremely happy with the care that my Mum receives at Haugh House. She is always in good spirits, well dressed and well fed. The staff are very friendly and familiar with Mum and what she likes which is great. I live far away from Edinburgh now and knowing she is looked after in such a comfortable
and pleasant environment is really important for me. I am made aware of any issues and can easily contact Mum for a chat when possible.

The family are very happy with the care and support offered by the staff at Haugh House for our 92 year old mother. She has been at Haugh House for several years and she has received excellent support. As the family aren't based in Edinburgh it's so important that we know Mum is in a wonderful caring
environment. We are kept fully informed of any issues and concerns and can't speak highly enough of the staff's care, attention and good humour. It's a smaller home and the turnover of staff is low which is great for Mum because she knows evryone that works there. It's a lovely home with a warm welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We were initially apprehensive about admitting our elderly mother into respite care. However any anxiety we had was soon dismissed after meeting the manager and her team. All were welcoming and friendly, addressing any concerns or issues we had, providing extra support and guidance as required, helping
to put our mum at ease while adjusting to her new surroundings.

The facilities are homely, the bedroom was bright and airy and all rooms kept clean and tidy.

Overall our mother seemed happy and content during her short visit.

Have visited Eildon House regularly over the last 2 years. Found staff to be welcoming and helpful.
Should I have any issues I wish to discuss with them, they are also willing to listen and take any action required.
Found staff to be patient and understanding with my aunt. My aunt is usually in her
room but I notice when passing the lounges on my way to it, that the residents sitting in the lounges always look happy and content.
The senior staff are always interested to know how I am and take an interest in my well-being.

I have never been so impressed with a care home, it's more like a hotel the facilities are fantastic. The difference in my granny from having the constant interaction and different faces has been amazing today she had a hand massage done and actually engaged in a conversation which is massive from last
week. Today I felt she needed her hair washed and lo and behold all the staff went to lengths to ensure she had a wee spot with their hairdressers to have a wee pamper done. Cannot recommend this place enough we were all extremely anxious about her going in for a wee holiday but we had nothing to be anxious over. Friendly staff and again amazing at what they are doing thank you so so much

Mum was very settled in Hilton Lodge and appeared to have enjoyed her stay (Mum has Dementia so is not able to fully express her own opinion!). This was a first respite stay and we were anxious about how Mum would be but all seemed to go very well. We had no problem establishing old routines on her
return home and all in all the experience was positive.

A lovely little nursing home. There is many smiling faces and laughter. They emphasise that they work at the residents home. (Not the other way round). It is a real home for our grand mother. The rooms are sun lit. The patio is south facing and warm. We feel that mum is safe. Her weight and her energy
levels get monitored. We got a phone call when mum had a little tumble (once). The carers don't hesitate to call the GP if needed and organise medication very well.

My mum has been in Belleville for nearly 3 years now. She is well cared for and the staff make sure that she feels well cared for. Her personal demands are catered for- the way she wants her hair brushed, what colour she wants to wear, what she does and doesn't want to eat- things that are so important
in helping my mum remain as much as she can be in control of her life.
It's a friendly, happy environment. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient.
As a family, we know that this is the perfect place for mum.

mum has lived at Bellville since june 2024 and has settled in well mainly due to the warm, welcoming
caring atmosphere created by all the staff team .Mum has formed good relationships with many of the team all of whom seem to genuinely care for their residents . Staff team are great at keeping me
informed of any health issues and the 24-hour nursing care as well as access to the local GP and Advanced Practitioner Nurse is very reassuring. Mums room is lovely and she has been able to bring many of her own small pieces of furniture/pictures etc... the home and garden are well maintained and the garden especially is a great place to spend time outside . From the very first visit i have to say that I have felt very supported by the Manager and no request has been a problem . Thank you Belleville lodge for making a difficult transition so much easier !

This is the second review that I have submitted on behalf of my sister and me. Our Mum has now been in Belleville Lodge for 5 years and we are still very pleased with the care provided.
The home is kept spotlessly clean and has been redecorated recently which has provided a more modern touch. More
importantly the residents are immaculately dressed.
The manager provides a great example to the staff and is hands-on when needed.
Everyone who works at Belleville seems to care genuinely about the residents.
The carers are very attentive and are really cater to individual needs. The staff turnover is relatively low and this helps to build meaningful relationships. The nursing staff ensure that any medical needs are dealt with, preventing serious illnesses. This is particularly important and the relationships with the external medical practices seem strong.
The activities co-ordinators do a very good job in providing things to do in the home and arranging visits outside where possible.

Very happy with Bellville Lodge. The standard for everything is very high. The staff are brilliant and try their best include my mum in all of the activities. Management is great and nothing is too much trouble. I am happy in the knowledge that my mum is being well cared for and I don't need to worry
about anything. I am unable to comment on food and drink as mum has her own tube feed, but I am sure this will be in keeping with the high standards provided for everything else.

I am so pleased that my father spent his final days at Eildon House. Unfortunately, due to his declining health, he passed away within weeks of moving in. The care he received during his short stay was excellent - the staff were very kind and managed all his care needs with attention to detail and compassion.
They kept me fully informed of his situation and supported me during my visits. The end-of-life care he received was provided with great respect and dignity. Eildon House is a well-maintained, comfortable and very welcoming care home; I was always greeted with a smile and an update on my arrival. My father's room was charming; clean, spacious, and full of light, with a fantastic view of the Edinburgh skyline. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate in recommending Eildon House to anyone seeking care for themselves or a loved one.

My Mum moved into Belleville Lodge Nursing Home in 2023. She is now settled and loves the building, her room and the staff are all wonderful and very caring, food is exceptional.
Mum loves looking out into both the front and rear gardens, which are beautiful and well-kept. On a nice afternoon, some
of the residents are to be found in the garden with coffee/tea and cake.
Her health has improved since being in the care of Belleville.
Activities are organised, but I would like to see a few more being organised, I do think that actual games/activities should be organised 7 days a week (in the morning and afternoon).
One staff member is very supportive and has regularly gone the extra mile with my Mum when she is having a bad day. All the staff are very approachable and definitely want the best for the residents.
The first time I visited Belleville Lodge, both my cousin and I felt like we were being embraced in a warm cuddle. That feeling has never diminished.
