Overall Experience
Having peace of mind, knowing that your loved one is safe, secure, well looked after and entertained 24/7 has got to be the ultimate priority with no exception. The level of care, love, compassion and commitment at St John's Court from every single staff member whether it be a general cleaner, helping hand, qualified nurse or higher qualified personnel through to management is without a doubt first class.

We enjoyed nearly five years of the same love and devotion from every member of staff when our mom was in residency. The communication with regular up to date information on mom's health and general day to day activities/care needs was exceptional. The regular day trips and/or entertainment provided is wonderful. Mom was entertained and looked after like a member of the family would have done. In many respects, St John became our extended family. What a wonderful and most fitting place for our mom to complete her final days. I can't begin to tell you what a fabulous place this is.

Mum has been at St Johns Court for 6 years. It is lovely and she's had great care. Under new management I have felt and seen mum come to life as she is now being taken to the lounge and dining room (she was in her room for most of the last few day). I'm delighted. The whole team is fantastic!

Reply from Emily James, Manager at St John's Court Nursing Home

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It means so much to hear that you've noticed such a positive difference for your mum. Seeing her enjoying time in the lounge and dining room and becoming more engaged is exactly what we strive for. Overall Experience
Mum has been a resident for almost 12 months during which time I have experienced a wide range of emotions which the staff have supported and always given me the confidence and reassurance that I need.
Safety is first class, Meals and mealtimes are welcoming and pleasant. The 'Door is always open" to Ann (Manager) and this is the case. The time given to residents ensures all areas of care are maintained such as Physical,Social, and Emotional. With entertainment, physical exercises and afternoon tea dance to name but a few.
Diane is and outstanding member of staff who has the ability to reach out to everyone's needs and always gives 100% to engage all residents. Love the cocktail trolley (mocktail), dances, crafts, which help all cognitive and social engagement.
Asha (hope I've spelt her name correct) is also outstanding and welcoming we laugh, hug and chat which is so lovely.
All the staff are fab x

Washing , ironing, clean rooms and bedding and overall cleanliness- excellent.

Mum was a resident at NG for 10 months and received excellent care throughout. The staff were kind, caring and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming environment where she was looked after with dignity and respect.

Knowing she was safe, comfortable and well cared for gave our family great peace of mind. We are very grateful to all the staff and would highly recommend Northwick Grange Care Home.

Mom has been a resident for almost 12 months now. I'm really happy with how she's cared for. The staff are very helpful and caring and the place it's is really homely. They have lots going on to keep the residents entertained and engaged. I visit virtually everyday and am always made to feel welcome and more importantly Mom is happy and safe.

Highly Recommend.

Overall Experience

My mum has been at Northwick Grange since last August. She has Dementia as well as diabetes. I visit regularly and have found the care that she has been given as excellent. The staff are hardworking, kind and can't do enough for my lovely mum. Daily entertainment includes: craft, singing, dancing, games and many visiting singers and musicians. The whole place has a warm, friendly and community feel. I like the fact that the majority of the residents are together in one big social area.

Anne and her staff at Chandos Lodge are amazing, the overall experience we have whenever we visit our friend is one of total care and love for the residents. Everyone is treated with dignity and respect and whats more they are totally inclusive in every activity, the emphasis is very much on activity in a fun setting whether its mentally or physically stimulating its always great fun!
The rooms are always clean and tidy as are the lounges and dining room, the meals look fantastic and the safety of the residents is excellent.
Whenever we visit we are always made to feel welcome, its like being part of the family.

A big well done and congratulations to all at Chandos Lodge.

Staff are very caring and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. Very homely and warm feel to the home. Good activities for the residents. My Mom really enjoyed the singer and it was lovely to see. During what has been a very traumatic period in all of our lives, the staff are, and have been, very compassionate and supportive to us as a family. They have put up shelving for all Mom's ornaments and lots of photos which makes the room feel welcoming. Mom is comfortable, warm and safe. Mom is able to attend the activities or have a lie in. Person-centred care.

Reply from Donna Hales, Care Home Manager at The Shrubbery

Thank you for your kind words. We are really pleased that your Mom is settling in well, and is enjoying the activities and in house entertainments. We understand how difficult it can be moving a loved one into permanent care, and will always do our best to make people feel comfortable.

Mum became a resident after a series of falls and we all wanted the reassurance that help was at hand. She was a critical customer and the team were all highly regarded by he. In my experience the staff are excellent and work hard to support the resident.

Review of Foresters Nursing Home from O J (Grandson of Resident) published on 28 April 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My grandad stayed at Foresters Nursing Home in Clent, and we were very pleased with the care he received. The staff were consistently kind, respectful, and attentive, and they always treated him with dignity. The home itself is in a peaceful, pleasant setting, and it was always clean and well-kept during our visits. My grandad was made to feel comfortable and safe, which gave us great peace of mind. Staff communicated well with our family and were always happy to answer questions or provide updates. It was clear they took the time to get to know him as a person, which really made a difference. We're very grateful to the whole team at Foresters for the support and compassion they showed during his stay. Thank you for everything.

The Shrubbery provided wonderful care for my dad whilst he was with them. He was only there for a few weeks before he sadly passed away, but the love and care he received from all the staff and nurses will never be forgotten. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Shrubbery, it really is a wonderful place.

A truly wonderful nursing home. My Dad moved here after 3 years in a awful residential home and I was blown away as soon as I walked through the door. All the staff were welcoming and kind, the home was clean and the Manager and Deputy Manager couldn't have been more accommodating to us and to Dad. He sadly only got to be at the Shrubbery for a very short time before passing away but I will be forever grateful that in those few days he had exemplary care and kindness.

Review of Northwick Grange from Glynis L (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 March 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum came to live at Northwick Grange in November 2019 after being diagnosed with vascular dementia which worsened after losing her husband, her lifelong partner. We chose NG as we felt the atmosphere and intimacy was in keeping with living in a family home. Mum was a wanderer, always trying to 'go home' and struggled to settle at first but with lots of patience and kindness it wasn't too long before she started to show signs of being more settled. She is a people person and has enjoyed good friendships with residents and good relationships with all members of staff. Continued patience and kindness has enabled mum to be in a happy place. Her changing needs are always addressed and this makes me feel that mum moving to NG is exactly what she needed then and needs now to keep her safe.
