Review of Sapphire House from Bea J (Mother of Resident) published on 18 July 2016 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Good facilities, nice rooms, staff pleasant but needs more effort how to communicate with residents using signs. PECS exist but forgotten to be used. Poor day structure, communication. Residents unsupervised in the house. No management who can run this provision smoothly and effectively. Website out of date. Generally chaos and noise, not always from residents. Residents are not compatible with others, which takes resources leaving others in the care of an agency staff. It creates stress and anxiety in residents which is not controlled well by not experienced staff.
Nice furniture in the sitting area currently destroyed by not compatible residents which makes communal area abounded and not welcoming. Problems with food shortage on daily basis.

It is quite new provision so problems are expected but it is not getting better at all. Chaos remains on daily basis therefore I am not in position to recommend this provision as it stands today but there is hope in the future.
