This care home has improved. Since my dad has moved into house 2 and new management has taken over. Caring staff and well looked after, and friendly. Cleaners also very helpful also very helpful at reception if you need help.
Spent a lovely father's day with my Dad. He seems very happy and well cared for. The staff are lovely. He is very fond of them. They printed and laminated some photos of my dad and family, photos that I had sent in. He enjoyed looking through them.
Thank you so much for taking time out to recognise our amazing team. We really value all of the support and kindness you show to us. We are very privileged to care for your Dad. We are increasing our events all the time so we really look forward to supporting you both to have more of these special days.
The food is very good, and varied with plenty of it. I would not want my husband to be anywhere else.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this. We are so lucky to have such amazing relatives like yourself. We are privileged to be able to care for your husband and are so grateful for all the support and kindness you show to our team.
There have been a fair few changes in management over the time Mum has been a resident but things have always been improving. The food always seems to be great, the lunches are always varied and include plenty of vegetables. A new chef started recently and now that Mum is on 'easy to eat' food, it's nice to know that the chef cares about what's on the plate and how it looks.

The nursing home is big with enough parking, even if at times have to park on another site. Easy to access. All staff are very kind and friendly. The home looks clean. Staff go above and beyond and offer my mum and me refreshments at times which is very kind. All staff speak to my aunt and ask how she is. Only thing I would say, it is such a shame the bedrooms aren't bigger - my aunt's is small. The rooms need to be ensuite too, which would make the residents feel much nicer, as if they were in their own home. Especially residents like my aunt who can look after own personal care themselves.

Satisfactory.
Since moving into Trent Court, we have been very happy with the care my dad has received. He is always washed and clean-shaven when we visit and I can always find out how he has eaten or how he is sleeping. I am also kept fairly well-informed on any changes or problems concerning my dad. He is treated with care and respect. One thing that seems missing is a lack of entertainment for the residents, in-home or from external providers.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are so lucky to have such supportive relatives. We have a new lead for well-being and look forward to sharing all of our exciting plans with you.
After obtaining entry everything was fine.
Me and Mom find it difficult at times seeing Dad when he's not good but we cope because we know he's cared for and the staff are doing an amazing job with him. We also realise he's gonna get worse but are reassured with the thought that he's in the right place with the right people who he's taken to and so have we, we've become close with most of the staff there but would be hard not to seeing them 3/4 times a week for over 2 years we're all human and all want the best for Dad, I think a few staff don't quite know how to take us because we are very friendly and love you all for having Dad's best interests at heart and kind of show that when we're there having a laugh that's what we believe makes the care home very professional the respect from us to them for doing a fantastic job and from them to us knowing we care and are most thankful. The idea of talking to robots and not real honest people is not for us and want to thank you all so much the cooks, cleaners nurses and carers. Thanks.
Thank you so much for taking time to recognise our wonderful hardworking team at Veronica House. We are so lucky to have such supportive and wonderful families like yourself.
Given our brother/brother-in-law hasn't been in very long overall we are "happy". Recently had a family meeting with the new manager and I was very impressed with future ideas and plans. We personally had just one issue and a promise was made to improve/look into it, once this is addressed were have no further issues or complaints at this moment in time. Feel we can confidently say we recommend Smithy Bridge Court.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are so glad you are happy and thank you for taking the time to recognise the hard work her carer and the team put into making Smithy such a lovely place. We are lucky to have such a supportive and kind family as you.
Thanks once again.
Thank you so much for using the time to recognise our amazing team. The team always love to recognise special occasions to show how much the people they care for mean to them. We are so lucky to have such great and supportive families, like yourself. Thank you again for taking the time out to recognise the team. It means so much to them.
My mother has been a resident for nearly 2 years now. I manage to visit at least every 2 weeks. On most occasions, my mother has been well dressed and cared for with a cup of tea and biscuits on the go. I usually arrive late morning which is a good time for everybody concerned. I leave just before lunch so as not to get in the way. The care staff do a great job. I can see that some residents are challenging but they cope admirably. The new manager has great ideas and plenty of enthusiasm we wish her well in her new role. Keep up the good work everyone!
The team are always willing to go that extra mile for Mum, taking her out shopping, doing her makeup and taking her out for regular coffee trips to the local cafe.
Thank you for taking the time to recognise the hardworking team at Smithy. It makes the team's hardwork so worthwhile when supportive families like yourselves see how much they are doing. It is our privilege to care for your mum.
Keep up the brilliant work and thanks to all the staff who make my mum's life so comfortable.

I visit my auntie every 4-6 weeks. On every visit I always find the staff to be extremely caring and helpful. They are always willing to oblige and nothing is too much trouble for them. My uncle and I have full peace of mind when we leave the home knowing full well that my antie will be looked after with genuine kindness and compassion. It's almost like she is one of the family. I really appreciate the care and kindness the staff show. They are completely devoted. A huge thank you for all you do.
Thank you so much Rosie for taking the time to recognise our amazing team. We really appreciate such kind and supportive relatives like yourselves. How lucky we are to care for your auntie and how lucky your auntie is to have such a dedicated family member. We look forward to your next visit.
I have total peace of mind my wife is getting the best care and support.
John, we are so grateful for your kind words and for taking the time to recognise the hardworking team. It's our privilege to care for your wife.
In house 5 as always we have found the staff and management caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in maintaining the health and well-being of our Aunt. The safety levels seem a little bit low but the staff that care there always seem to give 110% to make up for this. The rooms are clean and well-maintained but a little tired and dated. My Aunt is bedridden with dementia so she no longer uses many of the activities but when she did she found them excellent. The food and drink are tailored for her needs which is lovely. Once again a big thank you to the staff and management.
An amazing caring and supportive nursing home. The staff are very caring and keep relatives updated and ring when needed, will even ring so my dad can speak to us when dad is distressed and helps him and then is much happier afterwards.
Thank you so much for recognising how above and beyond our team goes. We are so very lucky to have such supportive and special families like you and it is our privilege to care for your loved one.
From the first day, my wife has received the best care and attention from all the staff, both day and night. Nothing is too much trouble for them. If there is any problem, it is discussed and a solution is achieved. My daughter and my son who visit regularly have commented on the service my wife has received. We are aware the staff have made my wife's time at the home comfortable and safe. Her cleanliness is second to none. I did not want my wife to come into a home but I admit this home has been a revelation.
It is so incredible to read such warm and lovely feedback. Thank you so much for taking the time to recognise our incredible team. Relatives who have the support and insight you do make all of Our jobs so much more rewarding. Thank you for letting us care for your loved one we feel very lucky to do so.
Without Smithy Bridge, I wouldn't have got through the final stages of Dad's dementia. Not only did they do an amazing job at caring for Dad but the support they have given me and even after he has passed is just out of this world. While Dad was there I was relaxed and able to start enjoying my life too knowing Dad was being so well cared for. They genuinely do care.
We are so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for taking the time to recognise our fabulous team. We are very lucky to have such amazing relatives like you who support the team to make a difference to your loved ones' care. Every person who comes to Smithy is special to us and never forgotten. It was a privilege to care for your Dad.
