Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the respite stay did not meet expectations.

We take concerns regarding skin integrity, moving and handling, communication and activities seriously. However, none of the concerns outlined in this review were raised with the home during the stay or following discharge. Had they been brought to our attention, we would have welcomed the opportunity to investigate and respond.

The gentleman had capacity and was supported to make his own daily choices, including how he wished to spend his time and whether he wished to participate in activities or use our facilities. This is an important part of our person-centred approach.

Our moving and handling procedures require individualised care plans and appropriately trained staff for residents requiring hoist transfers.

We remain happy to discuss these concerns directly with the gentleman or his representative so they can be reviewed fully. Read less
