I regularly visit my wife who is a resident at this home. Each time I am happy and reassured to see how well she is cared for. The staff are so kind, caring and hard working. They look after the residents very well and look after visitors too. They are always friendly and offer me a drink, I always
feel welcome. I am very impressed with the entertainment and activities they put on, they include everyone and cater for different needs and abilities, no one is left out. My wife has formed friendships with staff and other residents and seems very happy there. Our friends who have visited, have also commented about how nice the home is and how great the staff are. I couldn't wish for a better care home for my wife to live in, it is a blessing in such sad circumstances. Thank you to all the staff for everything you do for my wife.

My Mother moved into this home in December 2025. From day 1 it was clear to see how dedicated, kind and caring the staff are and what a lovely home it is.
The building itself is lovely, it is very clean and smells nice! There are many different areas for residents to use, including multiple seating
areas and quiet zones.
There are always plenty of staff working and they are all so kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, any queries are answered straight away and you are never made to feel like you're an inconvenience.
The residents are clean, as are their clothes. There is a happy & calm atmosphere and if any resident becomes unsettled, the staff intervene straight away and settle things down.
The entertainment is incredible, they engage the residents in daily activities, varied and fun. They use the garden regularly and make sure the residents are sun safe and hydrated.
The food looks good!
I highly recommend this wonderful home!

I visit my Father regularly and am always happy with the care provided. All staff are caring, respectful and their interaction with the residents is admirable. Due to his needs several homes refused to take my Father, social services helped find this home. I do have to travel a long distance to see
him and was initially concerned if this home could meet his care needs when so many other homes had refused him. I very quickly realised that I had no reason to be concerned and am confident that he receiving the best care possible.

My lovely husband's dementia causes challenging situations for the staff. This week, at first hand I watched the superb way four members of staff worked together over a. 90 minute period to help resolve a situation.
I saw, patience, experience and kindness, I will not forget that afternoon. I already
esteemed the care highly, now I feel quite overwhelmed.

Really lovely to go see my relative in April for her birthday.
The home is always welcoming and my relative was very happy. The food is obviously very good because she left us so she wouldn't miss her lunch.
Its always scrupiously clean and the staff sre all very friendly and considerate to the residents.
Thank
you for taking good care of all the residents.

The care home is very friendly and staff are very caring and supportive of residents and residents' families. The care home is very welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. My dad has excellent care from all the staff as all members of staff from management to domestic are friendly. They
have an excellent activities person who finds activities for all residents. I would have scored facilities higher if the lift was in working order. I know my dad is having excellent care and I am kept in the loop if required.
Reply from Tanya Nesling, Operations Director at Meddyg Care Dementia Homes - CricciethThanks so much for your kind comments and our apologies regarding the lift, and this is a top priority with the home. The team will always strive to provide excellent care and it is lovely to see this recognised by families.

We could not have had better care for my husband. We were always welcomed when we visited, and the staff were always happy to answer any questions regarding care. We would like to thank everyone for the care and support they gave not only to my husband but to my daughter and myself.

Excellent care and great communication. My father was previously resident in another care home and Meddyg Care Criccieth has been a much better experience. The staff are lovely and always keep me informed of any issues.

My stepmother has been a resident for four years. Unfortunately, she is a very challenging and difficult person with difficult and uncooperative behaviour. I have found the staff and management always very understanding and considerate and nothing seems to be too much trouble with her care needs. I
am always kept fully informed of treatment and problems.

I am so grateful to the staff of Meddyg Care Dementia Homes - Porthmadog for my uncle. They have been amazing, they have also kept me up to date on his care with sometimes numerous calls a day. Due to the distance between the home and family members this has been a godsend. The staff are all friendly
and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean and very bright and has a very homely feel to it. Would highly recommend.
Reply from Tanya Nesling, Operations Director at Meddyg Care Dementia Homes - PorthmadogThank you for your lovely words. Your Uncle became a big part of our family and was a privilege to be able to care for him during his time with us. A real gentleman and a wonderfully unique personality.

I would like to add on a personal note, our gratitude as a family for the wonderful care my Mother is receiving at Meddyg Care. It has been a difficult decision to make, to ask for help with mum, but are relieved to see the high standard of care she gets, and we know, she is safe and well looked after.
All the staff are so helpful and pleasant when we visit. We see that she always looks in good health and appearance which puts our mind at rest, you were there at our hour of need.
We like the update emails showing us what our loved ones have been doing such as she was taken to the local chapel to see the children take part in the Thanksgiving service. She was heavily involved in such things before her illness and was lovely to see her happy in the photographs you sent. Thank you

I have only briefly entered the home at Meddyg Care at Porthmadog, therefore my perspective view comes from a few garden visits to date and telephone exchanges. My overall impression is that the nursing staff are caring and hardworking, friendly, informative and go the extra mile to be helpful. I feel
that my mother is safe and secure and the home offers much in the way of social and mental stimulation as well as flexible person centred care, also the family liaison aspect has been helpful and reassuring looking forward to less virtual and more face to face visits with my mother.

It was a difficult decision to decide that a nursing home was best. But we were always reassured by staff and it felt like he was treated with dignity and respect by all the staff that work there. I've only scored a good for the room because we have only seen pictures.

This is the best care home we have seen.
My sister and husband have improved considerably since they have been here.
All the staff are exceptionally friendly too and respectful of the residents.
