My Mum is so happy and very well looked after in Bluebell Manor. She has been there for almost 1 year and has been cared for to the highest standard. The food is fantastic the dining hall is always spotless. The day to day activities on offer are really good and the staff who organise them are so caring and patient. The home is currently undergoing modernisation and is being done in such a way the residents don't know it's happening. I would not hesitate recommending Bluebell Manor
Thank you very much for your kind words. The staff at Bluebell will be very happy with your comments - I will ensure they are passed on.ThanksNicola.
My mum has been a resident at Bluebell Manor Care Home for a few years now. Myself and extended family members have been impressed from day one with the level of care provided to my mum by the staff. The staff treat all residents with the utmost respect, care and compassion. No matter what time you call, either in person or on the phone, you are met with a warm welcome. We are so grateful to everyone at Bluebell Manor Care for everything you do.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I will make sure your review is shared with the team.
My grandma is in for respite after a fall, I was a bit dubious after I'd heard bad reviews but there were no places in Cramlington where we wanted her, this was all that was available. The drive up is very steep but plenty of parking! We often park in the town centre and walk over for a bit of fresh air, a nice 10-minute walk. You need to be let into the home which is good security! The manager is friendly and staff say hello. I've found the activity coordinator and lady that works in the kitchen very friendly, helpful, are very welcoming and will do anything for you! My grandma's very stubborn but they are encouraging her to join in which is a great relief to us she's not just sat in her room. She does struggle with some staff but I think that's more because she's deaf. Her room's nice and we could change it around but only downside is she doesn't have her own bathroom where others do, which seems unfair when she's paying same price. Room and clothing are always clean and home doesn't smell like some do.
Room for improvement!

If you would like to discuss any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at the home. Alternatively, please visit our Four Seasons Health Care website to find our feedback form. Thanks.
Initially, staff encouraged her, but that doesn't appear to be the case now! Mum is self-funding and, as a family, there is disappointment to see such a decline in both dignity and care!

My mother has been resident for just over three months. During my visiting periods I have noticed all staff are very helpful and very pleasant in their duties. All are very informative of any events concerning my mother's care. Kept up to date with any falls etc. Very happy with her care.
Generally, the care at Chasedale Care Home is good. Residents appear to be well looked after and appear to be treated with dignity and respect by the staff. I always get to be made welcome in the home and most staff are pleasant. Most of the problems I have experienced recently are 'nurses' forgetting to give medication, which is not ideal.

Our residents’ well being is our main priority and it is great to hear that you were so pleased with the quality of our care. All of our staff are committed to providing the best possible care experience for all of our...
Overall quite satisfied with the care home. The staff are friendly and seem to treat residents well, not sure about food as I am not there at meal times. The main concern is decor and furnishings in rooms as they are looking tired and shabby, also, lack of communication of what is going on. Although I do get phone calls if there is any sort of incident.
Thank you, Mark, for taking the time to leave our home feedback. All of our staff are committed to providing the best possible care experience for our residents, and it is very rewarding to have their efforts recognised. We have acknowledged the concerns you have and the suggestions you have...
My mum has been a resident at East Riding since January 2019 and subsequently has been through the recent inspection and changes. Although the home was deemed by the inspection team as being inadequate in several departments I always thought that my mum was in good hands. Now, however, I can see the improvements that have been made and am very pleased with the improvement in staffing levels and overall care of residents. I know how hard the staff are working to ensure that East Riding becomes the kind of home we would all wish our relatives to live in. My mum is very old (over 100) and needs an awful lot of care and attention in all areas of her life and I cannot fault the staff for the way in which they constantly seek to make things as safe and comfortable for her as they possibly can. Under new management, I can see East Riding becoming a first-class 'home-from-home' for its residents.
Quite happy with home overall.
Thank you to all the fantastic staff at the Bluebell Unit, you cared for my mam for 6 weeks, you all did above and beyond what would be the normal, you all were so kind and helpful. We could not have managed without you. A special hug to 2 members of staff, in particular, you were so special, 2 amazing people, dedicated, professional and caring, thank you so much.
Experience of staff interaction with myself and my relative is generally polite, helpful and appropriate. My relative has Alzheimer's and dementia and needs constant supervision and assistance. The all-male environment of his unit regarding residents is a place he is comfortable and affirmed. On occasion, when understaffed, I have raised issues of poor care when his room was untidy and he was unkempt. I found management proactive to address the matter, I received an adequate apology and since then standards have improved. I value an environment where good attempts are made to address problems. While the bedrooms are requiring updating, I do value the hard-working, underpaid care staff and value the safe place Chasedale Care Home is for my relative.
Thank you, Moira, we always appreciate individuals taking the time to give their feedback and we are pleased to hear that your experience at Chasedale Care Home has been overall positive. We are glad to hear the issue was rectified and that you were satisfied with the outcome. If there is anything more we can do to help, do not hesitate to reach out.
I was able to ask questions and offer more background information on my brother.
He is still missing my mum and often has periods of melancholy which they recognise and offer appropriate distraction techniques i.e. one-to-one or simply sit and talk to him. They have been very understanding and supportive of family dynamics, especially from abroad - Canada!
2) Clothes go missing or get mixed up. Not good when I buy new clothes for him.
My wife is getting well looked after. No complaints.
My parents recently moved to Chasedale Care Home as their needs increased. The care has been fantastic and my parents have settled in well to the two different floors they live on - Bamburgh and Alnwick. Both appear very happy and well cared for. Staff are always approachable and helpful. We, the family, feel happy with Chasedale and feel we chose well.
I had to ask them to put in a new light bulb as not working.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are aware that you are in direct contact with the home manager to resolve these concerns but we wanted to take the time to respond to some of your points. In terms of help with personal care, such as using the toilet, we conduct assessments with...
I have found Chasedale Care Home very good. My husband's room is always clean and tidy. He is happy there but, due to his condition, he gets in moods at times. He loves the staff and they are very good with him and they are very polite and friendly with myself also and can't do enough to help.
Staff within the home are always friendly. I have never had any issues regarding the care and support for my dad. They always call to keep you updated. I can safely say my dad is well looked after and treated with respect and dignity.
