At present due to Covid-19, I am unable to visit my mother, having been able to do so previously very regularly. It is difficult to leave a frail loved one but I have absolutely no concerns about her. This is completely due to the level of care and love that she receives at Wolfeton. The staff are always attentive, professional and involved. Most importantly though they are extremely natural, not patronising at all, this brings out the happy nature of my mother and I can see how much she loves them and also how much they love her. This is priceless. Especially in such difficult times, the crew keep her positive, happy and safe.

2 years ago my mother was depressed and talked of wanting to die. Then she moved to Wolfeton Manor and we have never looked back. I can't fault them and I recommend them to everybody.

We had to move our father into full-time care when our mother passed away; she had been caring for him herself, at home, up to the day when she herself had to go into a hospice. My father has been so well looked after by Wolfeton Manor that he always sings their praises, never complains and says that he is quite happy there. This contrasts to an earlier experience when he spent two weeks in another home to give my mother some respite; he was not happy there and couldn't wait to get out. The culture at Wolfeton Manor is one of cheerful, positive, gentle caring. All the residents appear to be content and very well treated. The staff are all wonderful.

As a family, we were already grateful for the very good care that Wolfeton Manor provided for our elderly mother. Since the COVID-19 lockdown, the home has kept us up-to-date with all developments regarding best practice to keep all residents safe as possible during this very difficult time, for which we are extremely grateful

I cannot speak too highly of the level of professional care and kindness that my mother is receiving at Wolfeton Manor. It is clear that the staff are a happy and motivated team, being effectively led by the manager of the home. I am so grateful that my Mother is obviously happy and comfortable at Wolfeton Manor, and that she can enjoy her twilight years surrounded by kind and friendly people, who genuinely care about her. In recent times of Coronavirus, the Wolfeton team have risen to the extra challenges of keeping their residents safe and protected. Several staff members have even moved full time into the home to avoid external contact, which is a testament to their commitment. We are all kept informed by a regular newsletter. Wolfeton Manor is a warm and caring place, professionally staffed by highly dedicated and genuinely friendly people.

A very caring home, with very attentive staff. All enjoy good food, and a good activities program keeps the residents happy and exercised both physically and mentally.

As will be seen from the ratings, generall a good experience of two week respite care. Pleased to find a bed near to home at short notice. There were some short fallings easily rectified;
Staffing: very prompt response to being called, one member only seemed actively hostile! Some training required - lifting aids, e.g. 'leg lifters' (simple straps) and sock aids.
Bed: very uncomfortable - needed absorption sheets on top of the plastic! Investment in 'turning beds' would save staff backs and resident frustration.

Cleaning: Not comprehensive, floor not cleaned for two weeks!

I felt the home felt very caring.
Everybody was very polite and helpful.
Mum had a good spell of respite care.
Hopefully, a full-time place can be found for her at Wolfeton Manor should it become necessary.

I have no complaints at all, only admiration for the hard work put in by all staff.

This review is based on two short visits to the resident who was in one of your respite rooms for 10 days.
We were most impressed by the home and all the staff.

Thank you for looking after her.

It is always lovely to visit my friend and be welcomed by smiling faces. The surroundings are clean and tasteful both in the lounge and her personal room. Her needs are catered for with respect and dignity. I am pleased she is being so well looked after and helped to live life as best she can. It is lovely to hear her stories of activities she has taken part in when the carers bring her into church for a weekly visit.

My mother-in-law was admitted to Wolfeton Manor on an emergency admission for one week as she was falling at home she was admitted on Saturday afternoon which was not ideal, however, mum was welcomed into the home by the staff. The staff were always on hand for assistance and a cup of tea. Mum passed away in January and we can not thank Wolfeton Manor for the professionalism, kindness and care that they showed mum during her last nine weeks. During this time she was treated with the utmost care and dignity. We as a family were welcomed into the home no matter what time of day it was.

My father passed away on 23rd November but the last week of his life was spent at Wolfeton Manor.
My sister and I cannot praise the staff at Wolfeton Manor highly enough.

They certainly went that "extra mile" to not only care for our father but also to look after us as well during a very stressful week. We were provided meals and endless cups of tea/coffee. An impromptu birthday party was organised for my father on 19th November and he enjoyed it immensely. The kindness and compassion shown by all the staff we met were exceptional and we will be eternally grateful that our father was allowed to pass away peacefully with no pain at the end.

In late 2017 I was looking for somewhere my wife, who has dementia, could stay for respite. My visit to Wolfeton Manor made an immediate positive and lasting impression on me. The lovely surroundings and building, the welcoming attitude of all the staff confirmed to me that my wife would be happy there.
My wife has stayed at Wolfeton Manor for day respite and also for a weeks respite. I am always pleased at the way we have been greeted and welcomed. The atmosphere in the home is cosy, friendly and caring, and the staff are excellent, kind, considerate, and caring to the residents.
My wife's stay at Wolfeton went very well. When she returned home I noticed that she was eating better on her own, she looked well and was doing some things without much prompting. She was also showing more eye contact with people. So I witnessed a positive change in her.

So thanks to all at Wolfeton for the excellent care given to my wife.

My aunt has been a resident of Wolfeton Manor for over a year. She is happy there and says she is well looked after. The staff provide the support she needs; they are kind and treat her with dignity. She enjoys the meals which are served in the very pleasant dining room or in her own room, if she prefers. She has her own pictures, ornaments and some furniture, which give her pleasure. She likes sitting in the lounge looking out on the extensive garden. She joins in some activities and clearly is given choices. Relatives are always made welcome.

I am very happy that my grandad is at this care home. It is a lovely setting with a beautiful garden for all to enjoy. The staff are always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The residents are able to take part in regular activities and trips if desired which enhances their daily lives and gives them a break from their normal routine.

When my mother had to go into hospital for an operation my father needed 24-hour care as he was 98 and blind. We chose Wolfeton Manor because it was so homely. Dad settled in quickly; which made Mum happy and relieved. She died 3 months later and after inspecting 6 other homes, we decided Wolfeton Manor was best long-term for Dad. He will be 100 next month and is thriving. He misses Mum after 67 years, but he loves his new home and friends and we, his other family, are always made welcome and kept informed.
