I would like to say after my step father resided here, that everyday we were overwhelmed with the high standard of care, empathy, and cleanliness of the place. The staff were incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The liaison between management and myself leading up to my stepfathers
death was second to none and will be eternally grateful for his final weeks being spent in such a wonderful family home.

My mother has been here for over 2 years, she has dementia. The staff are fabulous, my mother loves living here. She is well looked after, the place is spotless. The food is homemade. The respect & duty of care the staff have for my mother is fantastic and also to our family when we visit.

The care is excellent, I have no concerns.
My dad receives care respectful of his needs i.e wanting interaction with other residents. But taking into consideration his need for extra rest, and time to watch his own TV preferences. They will ensure any health concerns and needs are acted on quickly.

Mum is very comfortable at the home. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Always communicate well with us as a family.
The care home is very clean and always tidy - my mum is very happy and we have piece of mind that she is in a safe environment.

My mother gets excellent care at Northfields. All the staff are lovely and very caring. The staff are also always happy and welcoming. The rooms are always and the communal areas. As a family we are so pleased our mother is here and most importantly my mother loves it!

My father has been a resident of Northfield House for quite a while now, from the initial hospital discharge to settling in to the care home environment my father needs and requirements are meticulously met with high standards and a warm welcome so much so that he is happy and content in the care home
something I thought my father would never adapt to.
I love how my father often talks about the meals and how he enjoys them which is a great accolade to the care home given that he is a fussy eater and the staff have to manage his dietary needs for his health issues.
As a family we like to visit my father regularly as we consider this a big part of his well being Northfield House are always accommodating with open visiting without an appointment something we appreciate to fit around our busy lifestyles and work commitments.
I am kept up to date about my father's health, the home is exceptionally clean, the staff are a credit to the owners.

My experience with my husband being at Northfield Home, they are very caring and patient and they all seem to love their jobs. The home is well organised and every client looks very comfortable.
The home seems to be making improvements all the time. I had lunch with my husband and the food was delicious.

I can't put into words how happy I am with the care of Northfield House. I looked after my husband for as log as I could manage. The staff and management are wonderful. The care home is spotless and has helped me relax knowing my husband is in superb hands. I want to say this experience has been a positive

Mum has been at Northfield House for twelve months. As a family we are comforted by her being here. The staff are amazing .They are our extended family. They care about mum as they would their own family. Mum is always clean. Her room is clean and pleasant. We know they do their very best to keep her

All of the staff are outstandingly caring, cheerful and polite. I visit several times a week, and have done for over 2 years, and I'm always impressed with the cleanliness of the whole of the premises and the incredible dedication of every member of staff to ensure that all residents are very well cared

Unfortunately my father was in here for 3 days while we quickly found somewhere nice for him for his period of discharge assessment from Hospital. The standard of this accommodation is absolutely appalling, I would think it hasn't been decorated in 50 years! It was cold and uncomfortable. Additionally,
visiting is a nightmare as restricted to one hour slots which have to be pre-booked - and forget it if you work as visiting closed after 4pm! I couldn't Believe elderly people are expected to live in such poor conditions and pay over a £1000a week. Appalling.

We fully recognise how important it is for families to feel confident and reassured during a discharge assessment. These transitions can be stressful, and we regret that this was not reflected in the high standards we strive to uphold.


Three days is a very short period to form a full picture of a care home, especially when the focus is on immediate needs, which can feel overwhelming.


Regarding visits, we offer open visiting without appointment; the booking system is only for our quiet room. We aim to be flexible to support varying needs.


The home has been fully redecorated, with ongoing improvements to ensure a warm, safe environment. We are sorry if this was not evident during the brief stay.


All feedback is taken seriously and helps us continue to improve and provide the highest quality of care.

Northfield House provides all the care that my husband needs. All of the staff are pleasant and really friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Everything at Northfield House is very clean and tidy. My husband enjoys all the meals and there is plenty of variety. Would highly recommend.

My godmother has been a resident at Northfield House since March 2009. I could not ask for a better care home as I know she is really well taken care of. All of her needs are met and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Whenever I visit I am always met with a smile and an offer of a cuppa. Would
