Visiting mum at Hollies Care Home is such a pleasure as the staff, all of them are so welcoming. It's a warm homely atmosphere when you arrive and I can immediately notice how well Mum is genuinely cared for especially given the experience of a previous care home. The staff are always smiling and happy.
The manager is always available and responds immediately to any concerns or updates which are provided with care and honesty. Alzheimer's is such a horrid illness but knowing that the staff and manager understand it does make it easier especially when Mum is not having such a good day. I definitely would recommend this care home for anyone who is looking for a home from home because this is what you get at the Hollies.
There are no words other than thank you to everyone for just being here for Mum, for us as a family. We are so grateful that we have found Hollies.

Everytime I visit my Gran at Hollies Care Home, I am always met with a welcoming smile from the manager, and all the staff. Even when busy, they always have time to say hello and chat to my Gran when they are passing her room. Any phone updates are given with honesty and care. It is always hard to have
a relation in a care home, but to know they are happy and staff are looking after them with the care they deserve is amazing. Our Gran is so special. Thank you to everyone for everything you do.

My aunt has been in the Hollies Care Home since November 2022. Both she and I find the staff to be kind, thoughtful and helpful. There is a real sense of warmth about the place, and the residents do activities together if able to do so. It is warm and pleasant and the manager makes a special effort
to ensure that everyone has individualised care. I think we were lucky when we found the Hollies!

I can't thank the staff at The Hollies enough, for looking after my mum during the last month of her life. They welcomed her and us as a family with open arms and were so kind to us all throughout her stay. A special mention to all those working when Mum passed, your compassion to us that day will never

The Hollies is a beautiful home-from-home for residents and their families alike. Each and every member of staff are so caring. It's like handing over your loved one to someone who genuinely cares for their welfare and wellbeing. Kindness and love was quite openly shown to my father and my family. I
would not hesitate in recommending this nursing home for your loved one. So confident am I that I wish to add my name to the waiting list when my time comes. Thank you all for making my dad so welcome.

What a gem! I feel extremely lucky to have found the Hollies on recommendation from my fathers neighbour. The care is second to none. A joy to visit Dad, as all the staff are so happy and friendly at all times and make you feel so welcome. It gives you great peace of mind to know that your loved one

Hollies Care Home is a clean, bright, odourless Nursing/Care Home. Staff always friendly and helpful. Tasty food. Wished my Mum could have experienced everything the Hollies had to offer before Covid. Thank you for the excellent care of my Mum over the past 20 difficult covid months.

My mum-in-law has been a resident for 14 months now. Her quality of life and overall health have improved greatly since she has arrived. The staff are both extremely professional and kind and make sure not only is she well cared for physically but mentally too. Thank you to the whole team!

The Hollies Care Home is a lovely old house with extensions, making it very suitable to help all needs. It is in a country area between Reading and Newbury and is handy as it has a motorway junction. The rooms are of various sizes and all have private toilets and hand basins enclosed in a separate area.
The Hollies are well used by local folk and other needy folk.

On entering the Hollies it is very clean bright and airy and with no odours. The staff are very pleasant and always greet you with a smile and hello. Mu husbands room is clean and bright with many pictures on his wall of things he has done in the past. The staff keep him clean and tidy with many smiles.

I am very happy that I am here. I get along well with everybody. The staff are always nice to me and play board games with me as well. I enjoy all my meals here, the food is very tasty. I have made a lot of friends here.

The Hollies is very well managed and run, which is evident during my visits. My mother is well looked after and we can see that the staff genuinely care for the residents. Mother's health has had ups and downs and she has been supported throughout. We're really glad we found the Hollies and have a lot
of peace of mind that Mother is safe and well cared for.

Recently, my Dad was concerned and anxious because he thought he had to pick me up from school, but couldn't work out how to use the lift to get out of the care home to get to me. (As I am well beyond school age, this was not the case.) One of the care assistants, thoughtfully video called me so that
I could speak to Dad and set his mind at rest that I was ok. This seemed to work and he was quite settled at the end of the call. It is an example of a care professional going that extra mile to make sure a resident's needs are taken care of. The Manager and her team at The Hollies work extremely hard and I would like to say 'thank you' to them.

Yesterday 30th I attended the drive-by event organised at the Hollies. Brilliant what a lot of effort from all the staff in spite of the heavy rain and social distancing.
With a singer sheltering under a gazebo creating a unique atmosphere. I was able to see and speak to my 98-year-old mother after
six weeks of lockdown and witness the rapport that my mother has for the hard-working staff.

My ninety-eight-year-old Mother has now been a resident of the Hollies Care Home for a year. Throughout this time, we (her family) have been impressed with the care and support she has been given, continually during the year.
Staff have been friendly, pleasant and generally concerned about all aspects
of her life at the Hollies Care Home.
I would like to praise and single out the manager, who is clearly an inspirational leader.

My mother had respite care at Hollies Care Home for two weeks while we went on holiday. She was nervous and worried as she has dementia, and any changes are a challenge, but from the moment she entered the home, she was made to feel welcome, comfortable and looked after. On contacting her while I was
away, I was reassured to hear her happy and say she was being "waited on hand, foot and finger"!
Relations visited my mother and always had a warm welcome and found Mum extremely well, washed, dressed and happy. She was treated with respect and kindness, her whole stay. A special mention to one lady in particular who was extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend Hollies Care Home.

The care is very good, and the staff have a lot of patience.
The whole home always looks neat and tidy. The general manager always has time to speak with me.
The carers are always friendly and polite, all other staff, including cleaners and activity personnel, are also friendly and polite. Food is

My mother has been a resident for nearly 3 years. I am very happy with her care. Her room is spotless, the food is excellent and the staff go out of their way to make sure all of her needs are catered for. The manager is always available for a little chat with me if needed.
