The staff at the Welshwood Manor have shown great care and compassion for Mum as she begins to come to terms with the loss of Dad who died with her at his side in the home in December. They have encouraged Mum to integrate with other residents and to take part in activities. The staff have also ensured that Mum's increasingly complex care needs are monitored and arranged the interaction of physio and occupational therapy. All staff continue to show all of us great understanding after the loss of Dad. Thank you.
My first visit to Welshwood Manor. What a lovely place, in a very nice woodland location. My mum has a great view of the garden and can watch the birds and squirrels. The staff are helpful and friendly.
My sister has been at Welshwood Manor for just over a year. She’s so happy and content, it’s a delightful visit every time, seeing her face light up when I visit. She calls all the staff family and says she loves them all. She enjoys the activities, especially bingo. There is always lots of fun and laughter between her and the staff.
Beautiful home with lovely surroundings. Staff are always welcoming and friendly, always giving time to relatives during visiting. I would highly recommend this home to all. My friend has been a resident there for some time and is extremely happy.
My mum seems to have settled into Welshwood Manor very well. One of her phrases is that the staff are very kind and helpful.
The staff, I find, are so caring for both my husband and myself, as his wife. We often have issues with my husband's eating and drinking but guided and supported by the care and patience of the staff his needs are looked after. The staff and management are to be applauded for their care and support.
My friend has been at Welshwood Manor for some time now. Each time I visit I am greeted by happy, friendly staff who are always welcoming and helpful. The home is very clean and smells lovely. I can always tell that my friend is happy and I leave feeling content. I would highly recommend this wonderful care home.
It was a difficult decision to move my nana into a care home, but she has now been settled at Welshwood Manor for almost two years. During that time, the care staff have shown her kindness and compassion, treated her with dignity and looked after her physical and emotional needs to the highest standard. The home is clean and welcoming, and the care staff ensure she is happy. They treat her like family, and I could not wish for more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would wholeheartedly recommend Welshwood Manor.
From the moment my mother has become a resident we have had no cause for concern. She has received first class care and attention with all her complex needs met. All the staff are loving, caring and go above and beyond what is required of them. The staff have become a second family to us.
Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and they try to put you at ease at all times.
I am glad my mum went to this residential home as the smallness suits her with all her needs.
My mother spent the last month of her life at Welshwood Manor. From the moment we arrived via ambulance we could not ask for anything more. The staff were amazing - kind, caring and always with a happy demeanour. Not only to Mum but to all the family that visited. Mum loved the chats about her life and family - people took time with her and were genuinely interested. The day she died everyone was so very nice. I would truly recommend any family member to this fabulous care home.
All staff are very helpful and put themselves out for all of the residents - nothing is ever too much trouble for them or their families in the home.
Helpful, friendly staff who go over and above their jobs to make residents feel welcome and safe. Staff have good relationships with residents and try to make them feel comfortable.
As a family, we are completely satisfied with the care our relative has received here. She had mild dementia when she arrived, getting progressively worse. The home was chosen because my parents had been nursed there in 2004 and 2016 so we knew their end of life care is second to none, loving, caring and respectful for all of us. We are at that stage again and the staff are excellent, going the extra mile without being asked. They are always welcoming and helpful. Now she is bedridden, she is in the appropriate type of bed and kept clean and comfortable. The food is excellent, you won't find many places where they have a bespoke meal at teatime, tailored to each resident's wants and needs. Although my mother-in-law was not able to enjoy many of the activities, due to her condition, there are all sorts on offer, from a singer once a month to balloon games. It is a homely place with a lovely garden. We wouldn't want her to be anywhere else at the end of her life.
Great home.
Clean, clean, clean.
My wife is looked after with great care.
When you go into the home you hear the sound of laughter.
I hope when it is my time I can come to this home.
As a visitor, we are well looked after.
He liked the schools that visited and the trips and activities. He found the staff caring and helpful.
His time there was very comforting, he met lots of new friends. We felt he was safe and well cared for.
I can't express enough the care given to my husband on 29th June when he was taken ill, the nurse in charge and the carers were wonderful, he deteriorated very quickly and was taken to hospital, both carer and nurse stayed beyond their shift time to wait for the ambulance to care for him safely although there were other staff available. He spent a few days in hospital, came back on 5th July, next morning his heart rate was too high and once again 999 was called and again the care was excellent. He came back to Welshwood on the 6th July. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have our family member care for by all the staff on a daily basis as well as in a crisis.
Unfortunately, dementia took over so unable to stay long term but the kindness shown to my mum by all staff was priceless.
I am extremely grateful for the care my elderly mother has received over the last month. She has been loved back to life and is now learning to walk again after hip surgery at the age of 91. She is a trooper! But so are the staff at Welshwood Manor. They have encouraged her, cared for her, fed and clothed her when she has not been capable and now she is settling in to her new home.
Thank you and keep up the excellent work!
Welshwood Manor was a lovely home. All the staff were wonderful to mum. So much love and care that they gave her especially after she had her stroke and couldn't talk. Unfortunately mum wasn't there long before she had her stroke but if it had been possible she would have got to love all the care and attention. We really couldn't fault anything.
