Welshwood Manor

I had to go into Welshwood Manor for 20 days when my daughter had a holiday. I found all was well, very clean and all the staff were very good and kind and helpful to me. I would recommend this home to anybody.

My time at Welshwood Manor was 2 weeks in that time the staff and management were excellent in all they did for me. I would like to come back in the new year.

I've liked it here because of the surroundings the garden, nice room and very clean. The staff friendly and helpful and I've made friends with some of the residents.

All rooms kept clean and tidy. A very pleasant look to the main (large) sitting room. On-site washing machines for clothes. A good programme of events to try and keep residents active. Food reasonable but well cooked. Some rooms are small. Could do with a separate meeting room. Care staff very interested and caring.

My mother has been resident here for almost 12 months. She has settled in very well and is extremely well cared for, she has made new friends too. The home is well maintained and the team are always cheerful and more than willing to offer help and assistance whenever needed. We feel we made the right choice for my mother and for us.

The level of care is simply outstanding. There is very little turnover of staff; visitors are always warmly welcomed and offered a cup of tea. The home is happy for you to visit at any time during the day and - as a frequent visitor to the home - I can vouch that the level of cleanliness and degree of support for my mother-in-law has never been short of outstanding. Activities are organised on a very regular basis that engage residents in achievable and stimulating tasks and special days in the calendar, as well as birthdays, are celebrated with an assortment of decorations, special treats and events/activities. Outside groups also provide entertainment, a monthly church service, etc. It is a place in which you can have complete trust that your loved one will be very well looked after and cherished.

After a difficult search to find a care home for my parents, I am very happy with the care they receive. The staff are friendly, caring and prepared to go the extra mile. Activities are organised both within the care home and trips out. Welshwood Manor is a gem.
