Mum is treated with kindness and dignity. She has been in your care for a year now and in that time her health has deteriorated. You are always gentle with her and always popping in to say hello and offer drinks etc, she always said she never wanted to go into a care home but after her fall it was inevitable and she is now very happy.
Thank you, Peel House and I would recommend the home.
Dad is so happy there and loved today's party. Thank you everyone who makes Peel House such a special place. Staff are attentive, inclusive, and so very respectful. From the laundry staff to cleaners, chefs, carers, reception staff, and nurses. A sincere and heartfelt thank you. You are a fantastic team.
We’re looking forward to the next party!
The care provided is holistic and person-centred, as the staff want to ensure they are looking after residents not just physically also emotionally and spiritually.
The owner is always investing in the business to ensure that the home looks and feels very homely.
Compliments to the chef for cooking up the most amazing food!
The activities are very creative and certainly get everyone involved.
Mum spent the last five months of her life in Peel House, she was always treated with respect and received excellent care. The staff all tried very hard to make her settle but she was fighting against losing her independence so it wasn’t always easy for them. My sister and I will always be grateful for the patience everyone showed her and she was treated with the utmost dignity at the end of her life. We always felt supported when we visited the home so thank you to everyone.
Would highly recommend Peel House to others.
I am so indebted to the care team and management for the genuine love, care, and respect they give to my mother and father. I feel so reassured that they have my parent's needs in hand even going above and beyond their call of duty. My sister and I have been continuously supported in every way to make my parent's admission and stay a pleasant, calm and peaceful experience, even tending to their pastoral needs. We both genuinely feel the home is run with safeguarding and patient-centred care as a top priority. The way the recent covid outbreak was dealt with was swift and immediate, emailing family members about the situation. Hence cases were isolated and the home continued to run as smoothly as ever. I highly recommend this home to anyone who wants the best care for a loved one. Thank you to all staff at Peel House who are clearly natural carers, passionate about making residents feel like a home-from-home experience alleviating stresses and worries for us family members.
Thank you Donna for your great feedback, we really appreciate it.
Having to put your mother, aged 102 years, into a home was a heavy responsibility. However, this worry has disappeared due to the kindness, care and love that's been shown to Mum since her arrival. The food has gone down well with her. Her room is cleaned daily and her laundry is well looked after. Overall, I am very happy.
Bits of the building are a bit shabby but I understand that renovations are ongoing: the staff and carers are excellent. I am very happy with my Mum's care. The staff are getting to know her and us as a family to ensure her needs are met.
Mum was urgently looking for a nursing home and I count it lucky that Peel House had a place for her. Mum's been in hospital for a while and moved wards many times and I was concerned about how she would cope with another move. Mum has settled in so quickly, she is smiling and looking very relaxed. The staff have been very welcoming to my mother and to me. Though Mum has only been here a short while, I am happy and confident with Peel House.
Peel House has been amazing with the care and understanding of my family member. Professional, caring and kind. Thank you so much for making him smile and for keeping his mind busy throughout the days when we have been unable to visit. It is reassuring knowing he is in good hands.
My husband has been a resident of Peel House for 18 months. The care he receives is excellent, the staff go above and beyond to make sure he is happy and content. Understandably it has been a very trying time for everyone and difficult for him to understand why we could not visit. Thankfully things are relaxing and being able to see him has made a big difference to him and the family, thank you Peel House for all your help.
Staff at Peel House Nursing Home are always very caring both with residents and family members and are always available. Due to covid, they have kept us up to date with how the situation is which was very reassuring. I have no problems with Peel House.
Peel House is a perfect "Home from Home" for the residents, it provides individual care whilst maintaining an extended family atmosphere. Staff really take time to get to know individual residents and provide optimum care to meet all their needs. This past year has been incredibly difficult for the Care Home industry in unprecedented circumstances, Peel House staff have managed superbly, maintaining morale, supporting distressed residents missing visitors and ensuring honest communication with family and friends. Since visiting has resumed staff have been very welcoming whilst maintaining hygiene regulations to ensure safety for residents and staff. The lady l visit is always clean and comfortable and the atmosphere is that of a large and content family. Peel House is to be commended for providing excellent individual care and the staff needs to be aware that they are much appreciated.
Sadly due to Covid, I didn’t see mum before she passed but since her admission in November 2020, I was reassured by knowing she was in a safe environment and the staff were always welcoming when I called to check in on mum and the gateway link to see daily care reports was a real peace of mind. Thank you Peel House staff.
My mum went into the care home after suffering a stroke and with dementia. The staff were extremely helpful in looking after her with care and consideration.
Recently, she passed away in her sleep, without any pain or distress. My family and I would like to offer my thanks to all of the staff.
Her room was lovely and they let me bring a lot of her things to make it home. The carers made sure Mum had everything she needed and I was always made to feel welcome and kept up to date. Right to the end she was treated with dignity and respect.
Thank you everyone at Peel House. Initially, I was reluctant for my mum to have respite care in a nursing home environment, (after bereavement and several hospital visits) but what a wonderful job Peel House has done. My mum has left Peel House with a smile and happiness, so much more like her old self. She has been very happy to receive so much support and kindness from the staff and residents which has helped her get over a very difficult time in her life. Thank you again from my mother and her son.
A very big thank you to all the staff for taking care of our dear friend. Our trust in you all is 100%.
My dad as been in Peel House for a few months now and has settled in there very well. The family was worried putting my dad in care but Peel House is caring and so friendly, we need not have worried. I have not met a member of staff that is not always smiling and their always ready to help my dad. My dad helped out in the summer fete they had and he really enjoyed himself. The family take my dad out for pub lunches and he goes to church most Sundays, so he still has his social life and Peel house encourages this. My dad has told me that he is very happy there.
