Rectory House Nursing Home

My mother received excellent end of life care at Rectory house. Subsequently, after she passed away, my father needed nursing home care. I had no hesitation in asking Rectory house to look after him. The leadership team are professional but involved and caring. The daily care staff are very friendly and thorough. Since he has been staying there, Dads physical and mental well-being have significantly improved. I can't thank the staff enough!

Outstanding. I came over from USA to spend some time with my mother Jill. I came almost every day and the staff are just amazing. Everyone was so nice friendly and cared so much about my mothers wellbeing. I sleep well knowing that she is being well taken care of as her life is slowing down. The staff are so friendly and I can't thank each and everyone enough.

There is an excellent manager in Sarah. She has built a good team who care about the residents.

I have always found all the staff to be pleasant, kind and very helpful. My sister is happy and feels safe in Rectory House and loved by all. I enjoy visiting her and like being greeted by one of the Rectory House family. My grateful thanks to you all.

My relative has been part of the family at Rectory House for over 3 years now. She arrived during the time of COVID restrictions so it was hard to get a real insight into the care provided during that time. However, it has been so good to see the care for my aunt improve during her time there as restrictions were lifted. She is always happy and contented whenever I visit and I love the open door visiting policy now so I can turn up at anytime (and I do). I am often there for meal times which are good and served really nicely. Activities have grown and cover a really good range too.

Rectory House Nursing Home has looked after mum very well, she is very happy there. She is always clean and tidy. The staff are very good to her and always friendly. Thank you for looking after mum so well.

The home looked lovely at Christmas. The activities during this month and ongoing now have been 100% improved. There is a lovely atmosphere at Rectory House Nursing Home and the staff, including management, seems to be working well and in the same direction. I would have no hesitation in telling any relatives or friends about their loved ones becoming a resident. The staff, including domestic and chefs, are involved in the overall well-being too, which is great. Thank you.

My sister-in-law has adjusted well to the routine of the Rectory House Nursing Home. The guest visits have enabled me to see how well the home is run. The staff are qualified and proactive yet maintain a relaxed and friendly manner to all.

Very clean care home, and all staff are very friendly. My Mother stayed for 2 weeks of respite care after a time in hospital. She was well cared for.

I am so happy my Mum is at Rectory House, she has only just moved in but everyone is so caring it is amazing. I am so happy that they get Mum out of bed every day and include her in daily activities.

Once settled from her previous care home, Mum settled down and, I believe, enjoyed her time at Rectory House. All the staff were caring and treated Mum well, and she liked them all. Mum liked her Sunny Room and the view of the garden. Special thanks to the activities team who made Mum's days full of fun and laughter.

Everybody in the home is very very caring and thoughtful about needs and attentive to Mum. The home has outstanding grounds and courtyard where they hold parties. Inside is spotless and is perfectly decorated for Christmas. Every time we visit we're offered tea and coffee or shown where the coffee machine is.

All staff have been very friendly and kind. Only thing I'm not too keen about is resident having to use plastic mugs instead of own china mugs. Mattress alarm keeps going off constantly, it's nice to see the residents being involved the activities.

I visit a couple of people in the home to give them holy communion, from the local church. The staff are friendly and helpful. The ladies I visit seem happy and well cared for. Their rooms are clean and tidy.

Enjoyed coffee morning and would like to be back for many more. Very friendly and very pleasant company the buffet very very enjoyable and all home made. It was nice to catch up with people. It had a very good feel about it. Staff were very attentive it was a bit daunting for me to start with but so welcoming.

My mother-in-law lives there so I do pop in from time to time but mostly it's my husband who visits her.

I have nothing but praise for the newly promoted manager and staff. They are very professional and have a caring manner and any issues raised are promptly resolved to the relative's satisfaction. The recent events organised by the staff under the leadership of the manager have been very successful, especially the BBQ. I am very fortunate that my husband is a resident here.
