I'm very happy about the overall care home service received by my aunt. The staff are very caring and kind to her. Also, the manager is available to listen to any queries about the resident. Very kind person.

Wonderful accommodation and staff are second to none, sometimes not easy to enter premises but understand the reasons. The food is 5 star and the premises are so clean and the care is top drawer, much better care than Mum was getting and the people who live there are very nice as well.

I would like to say thank you to Addington Heights staff, for their hard work and outstanding care they provided to their service users. I visited my friend's mother and I was amazed by the care they provided to her, she was very happy and never stopped praising the staff. I will not hesitate to recommend
anyone who would like to bring their loved one to this home.

My brother and I are truly grateful for the friendship and care given by the carers during the last stages of our father's life life. I always felt he was looked after very well and was in a safe place. Sadly he had severe dementia and had mobility issues so it must have been challenging for the staff
but they always showed patience and kindness to him and treated him as a friend.
Love and respect to you all.

The quality of the staff and their caring work is excellent. Perhaps a few more staff would help at busy times. The friendly ‘open’ approach of all staff is heartening and makes both residents and relatives feel comforted and relaxed. Special needs for mum’s food and drink are well catered for

There is not enough I can say about this care home that can truly reflect how amazing it is! My Nan is the happiest I have seen her in a long time and that is due to the absolutely incredible staff that care for her. The staff are not only professional but also make everyone, including visitors, feel
welcomed with their outgoing and caring nature. You will never truly know how much it means to me and my family, that we have been able to see my Nan so happy and settled and this all down to you guys! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My Mother has been a resident at Addington Heights for the past 3 years. The staff at the home do a first-class caring job looking after Elderly Dementia residents. The staff work extremely hard delivering a positive and professional service. One member of staff, in particular, is in constant contact
with me arranging visits and updating me re my Mother's care. She has been a godsend throughout the Pandemic. I would have no hesitation at all recommending both the Home and its caring staff to anyone requiring Dementia care. I can't thank them enough for the way they have looked after not only my Mother but also my family during a very difficult time.

Mum was referred to Addington Heights after a stay in hospital last May. Everyone has been really helpful and friendly. They allowed me to go in to see her on her first day to settle her in. Since then myself and my sister have been able to see mum in the garden and once in the visitors' room when it
got too cold to visit outside. Mum has settled in very well and is happy to to be left when we go.

When mum got poorly the back end of 2019 I knew she would never be able to live independently again and the only option was for her to go into care, this was very daunting for the family. Mum has lived in New Addington for the last 60+ years and as I still do I thought I’d like her to still be near
me and the family. I decided to look at Addington Heights Care Home and this is where she has lived since. What can I say about the home? Well, the staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is ever too much for them. During lockdown when I’ve not been able to visit mum very often we have been kept updated with videos and pictures of mum through the app and if mum gets agitated myself or my brother are contacted so we can talk to her and calm her down. Mum has thrived living in the home, putting on weight and is always happy and smiling when we have zoom meetings. I would like to thank all the staff for all they’ve done for mum and for them always being cheerful and welcoming.

All the management and staff have been extremely helpful during these hard times. The home has been vigilant to ensure that my mum and all residents are covid free, which we are all very appreciative of. This is an excellent care home. I would 100% recommend anyone looking for accommodation and care
to come here. They really do their utmost to help and keep everyone safe. Well done to all at Addington Heights!

I have never written a review before but I feel it is import to write this one. I would like to thank all Addington Heights staff for an outstanding job that they do day in and day out. They have changed my mum's life. They have turned my negative thoughts on care homes to positive ones. My family and
I could not be happier with the care and support that not only my mum receives, but that we receive as well. I can not remember my mum being so happy. She is being so well looked after. Her room is spotless as is everything else in the building. She loves the food and is even putting weight on. She gets the best care you could ask for. The staff are so friendly polite and professional. I am amazed at how happy the residents and staff are. My mum feels very safe and is in the best hands. Keep it up guys you're amazing. She loves her own room and you have made it home from home for her. Thanks to all the managers, staff, cleaners and catering staff.

My mother is extremely well cared for and the Addington Heights staff, across the board are outstanding. The Covid pandemic has tested everyone, but throughout, to date, I have been informed on how my Mum is coping, her welfare, her mindset and overall well being. A shout out especially to the ground
floor nurse in charge and the nurse in charge of arranging visits/Zoom. Very good communications from the administrative staff, especially the manager. Highly recommended in my opinion.

I have two Aunts in this care home. The care and attention they receive is excellent. Management and carers are professional and kind and my Aunts are treated with the utmost consideration and respect. If they want to, my Aunts can join in with the various activities and are encouraged in many ways.
Communication between myself and the home is excellent. I am extremely happy with the running of this home and both Aunts' care.

My mother is well cared for here. Any concerns that our family raises are listened to and acted on. The night staff are not as consistent or professional as the day staff which is a shame as it reflects on the scores below.
Apart from that, we are very pleased.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.301)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.301) out of 10 for Addington Heights is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.901 for Addington Heights is calculated as follows: ( (73 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 81 Ratings = 4.901
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.4 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Addington Heights is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 registered maximum number of service users is 10. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.7
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
